- If the brushes no longer work, it is possible that the problem is caused by the failure of the MOSFET that is responsible for powering the motorized accessories. This vacuum cleaner model (Dyson V8) contains a MOSFET M13C30/ PSMN013-30MLC (N-channel 30 V 13.6 mΩ logic level MOSFET).
In this case, replacing this MOSFET solved the problem. - Věda a technologie
Excellent video, really good camera work, really appreciate the time and effort it took to make this!
Thank you very much!
Thanks a lot , realy helped me to repair my v8 Dyson with this problem - Aliexpress - 1.2 EUR per 1 MOSFET plus "small" work
Glad it helped
I had previously just jumpered this mosfet to get it working, but thank you so much for the part number! Finally wanted to go in and complete the repair since the shorted mosfet drew a lot of current draining the battery quickly.
Yes, it would be ideal to replace the mosfet with a new one. I'm glad the video was helpful.
Nice one, thanks for listing the MOSFET needed
Thanks, I'm glad if it helps.
How did you get the new MOSFET to stick/solder on the board? Are you using the existing solder that was left on the board from the prior MOSFET?
It's better to replace the old solder with a fresh one (leaded solder).
Awesome video. Question for you that blue wire that you unclipped with white end from mother board, where does the other end of it go to and what is it for?
Does it just go through that rubber sleeve tube and wrap around and stick into the sleeve tube just above it ?
Thanks and great break down u😮😮
The blue wires are connected to a Reed sensor. This sensor closes a circuit when the power selector is in the MAX position.
The button has a small magnet applied that activates this Reed sensor. The Reed sensor is a glass bulb that contains two contact blades that change their position when they are in the presence of a magnetic field.
great job !
Thank you!
Howdy and thank you for creating the video! What microscope do you use?
Hello, what type of mosfet is it? thank you
Thanks for video. I've got v10 with same problem. And checked MOSFET and it seems ok. Hope for help. Thanks
I recommend that you completely disassemble the electronic board and check it on both sides of the liquid. There are several points on the back of the board that can be very easily affected by liquid and generate this defect that you are complaining about.
Hello. Do you know the output voltage and amperage values for the ground head motor on the board? Could you please answer?
Can you be more specific? I don't know which motor you are referring to.
@@techfixPOV Volts and amperage from the DysonV8 type Vacuum motor driver board to the floor nozzle brush motor?
Hello, my V7 model looks like the same board. Mine overloads and cuts out on high speed. Do you have any thoughts on what might be causing that? Thanks!
Does it stop when you use the MAX button? Try without filters installed. If it works normally without filters, you should clean or replace the filters.
@techfixPOV Thanks for the reply. It doesn't work even when the filters are out. I called Dyson and they said it was most likely a bad motor and since it is discontinued, they don't support the model anymore and don't have parts.
Bro please do a video for Dyson v12 slim there is no video for this 😢 usually the issue is you have to press many time button on to make it work
Ok I will try
Thank you
You're welcome
Hello, what type of mosfet is it? thank you
The MOSFET is M13C30/ PSMN013-30MLC (N-channel 30 V 13.6 mΩ logic level MOSFET).
Is that same for v11 too ??
what did you use to de-solder the mosfet chip ? Is this a heat gun and what was the solution that you applied to remove the solder from the chip?
I used a hot air soldering station, both for desoldering and for soldering. Temperature 400 degrees, airflow at half power. The applied solution is AMTECH flux.
@@techfixPOV thank you
@@techfixPOVThank you!
But it only happened with one of the attachments, not all of them.
If only one of the brushes doesn't work, it means that that brush needs to be checked.
👍
need one for v11 !! if you want a test piece i can mail you mine !!
I will try to make a video with the V11 model as well. I think I have one that has this problem.
@@techfixPOV that is awesome
@@techfixPOV
Do you have the mosfet part number for V11? Thx
@@techfixPOV hi man still excitedly waiting for that video :)
