The organs… incredible
Can’t wait to hear your covers of this OST!
Part of me was worried every song would just be a remix of the original ost, but this shit rocks and I'm an idiot anyhow
It kinda is a remix of “death to Chronos” just different variations
@@lifedeather I wouldn't say it's a remix per se, it's more like a leitmotif.
The reason this song is so spooky is because having to fight the final boss for this area is everyone's worst nightmare
Funny how in Hades 1 we have this whole haha moment with Zagreus entering the temple of styx for the first time like "Yeah they would never make us fight the goodboi(s)"... oh well :')... Death to Chronos.
Death to Chronos.
Death to Chronos.
Honestly, was kind of a mercy from cerberus that we didn't fight him there in hades 1. I struggle with cerberus more than chronos, personally. It's that damn double slam cerberus does that always hit me.
He really leaned into the Halloween part of the "Mediterranean prog rock Halloween" genre for this area.
and i absolutely could not be more happy about it 🎃🧡
i explained this OST to my friend in the exaact same way lmao
5:15 sounds like a militaristic March and I love it
Darren korb cannot miss
2:48 love hearing that part in game
Okay I actually think this one might be my favorite
This is what I said every single time I heard one of these songs for the first time
Definitely one of my favourites. I love I'm Gonna Claw (Out your eyes and drown you), but this being purely instrumental makes it less tedious as an earworm
Spooky groovy skeletons
Send shivers down your spine
Gonna love this track even more, when I'll hear it in the game
Gonna use this for the big bad of my D&D campaign, gave me so much inspiration! Thank you Darren Korb!!
Hades tracks that heavily feature the theremin and bass guitar in the acoustic section have always been my faves
First time seeing the dog was a shocker to me. Like..... nah fam. Death ti chronos
No! Heel! Stay!
I didnt know i needed Castlevania in my Hades
The first half sounds like it’s part Castlevania and part Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga!
When I first heard it I though I was listening to either Sabaton or Powerwolf lol. And both are my favourite bands!
Powerwolf idk but Sabaton I love. This one here is kind of soothing yet thrilling idk how lol
A big part of the vibes of this song comes from its more classical style, which really comes across through the organ and the canon at the beginning. Also, I’m pretty sure there’s a bit of Dies Irae in here, which makes sense, as out of all the places in the Underworld, death itself is most prominent in the Fields of Mourning.
This is amazing. I feel like this has an alternate title "Your favorite musician's favorite song"
this is my favorite i think
certified banger
the drums sell this one home hard and is the MVP of this track so far this OST as been banger after banger after freaking banger, If this OST doesn't win Soundtrack of the year in 2024 Game awards im gonna freaking RIOT!
Marvelous counterpoint!
reminds me of the council of blood music from castle nathria! awesome
mfw this game has a skeleton theme
Thank all the gods we never had to fight him in the first game
What the actual hell are those attacks, I swear, Chronos is less of a threat than this abomination of poorly telegrafed attacks with the hitboxes so big it fits the whole screen and then some. At least Chronos have only one stupid move with that whirlwind scythe, but not only the good boy (past tense) have most of them on an instant cast, he also can combo them into one another, grandpa at least needs some setups. AND his hp bar, it feels like I'm trying to destroy a bunker with a spoon.
If I can kill the dog without wasting a DD, I know for sure that the run is over and I win.
The first 2 bosses condition you NOT to dodge into them, but Cerny is the opposite. You want to dodge directly into him for most of his attacks. If you try to dodge and circle around with sprint the extended hotboxes will nail you a lot of the time.
"Dodge directly through the doggy and your run will be less dodgy. "
@@logainwolfe1988 thanks for the tip!
His hitbox is so big you can hit him way outside his range. And you can safely stay clear of his attacks by standing behind him. Works the exact same for Hecate and Chronos. Dodge into and behind them.
Death to [last boss] for a horrible thing he did to my boy.
Cronos 's not a spoiler. It is even a song name and it was stated in the trailer as the final boss a year ago.
@@RandieProyeah, if anything the "my boy" is the spoilery part here
Me summon the 4 arms shade to solo cerberus for me (it was Hilarious)
The organ reminds me of paper mario
I keep hearing Castle Bleck in this
I hear champion of destruction as well
can someone help explain why this song feels so "halloween"y?
I'm no musician, but pop culture has basically tied using the organ and/or theremin to unsettling/gothic soundtracks. So, Halloween-like things usually follow suit.
ORGANS!!! WE ARE COOKING
Kids are so funny when they use "Cook" and "eat" all The Time to describe something that has nothing to do with food. It's ok, child. You will find a brain.
@@mihaimercenarul7467me when young people use slang:
when hte
@@mihaimercenarul7467 "Cooking" a slang term used for fun to describe something that is incredibly well done and enjoyable just as food when its well done this explaining why its used like this.
We both agree that this rocks basically
@@elver2218 sure, but kids only started saying this like this year. And they use it all The Time until next year when they will say something like "this surfs".
