This is up there for top songs in the game for me. That walk down sends shivers down my spine. You can feel the despair. Incredible

Ohhhh man the Pyre OST slapped so hard. I wish the game had more popularity
For a brief moment I fully thought you were implying darren korb buys all the instruments to make the tracks physically, and he expensed an entire pipe organ that’s now in a basement somewhere just to make the Pyre ost, which would sound ridiculous, but The Old Ways alone would make that a worthy choice.
i thought that this area was persephone’s farmland at first and that genuinely made me so sad

i had chills exploring here for the first time. there's a sadness, a dread that's just rooted deep into the environment. and you're just left to wander and find where you're supposed to go, finding distorted structures and broken statues among the daemons, most of which don't even attack unless provoked. the atmosphere was presented so beautifully.
Most of which don't attack if not provoked? You walk next to them and they get "provoked." It's not like you have to attack them to get attacked lmao
@@lumenox8541 that hasn't been my experience! for me they don't aggro until you do. obviously trying to grab trapped rewards aggros them too lol, def not talking about those ones to be clear. maybe your sprint boon is setting them off or something?

I encountered this song recently, and WOW it fits the area well. I love [spoiler region] so much even though I got there once and died to miniboss. It has such a cool vibe.

Before this area, I didn't think Chronos was a compelling final boss. But when I saw the fields' boss I yelled "DEATH TO FRICKIN CHRONOS" all the way through Tartarus. Old crone made me fight best boi, I hate him.
"Oh... Oh you SHOULDN'TA did that, fucker..." was along the lines, yeah haha
Really love how this theme contrasts so heavily with the other areas.
We just had a concert in area 2, and area 1 was basically us leaving home.
This theme though really does feel chilling and depressing. The ruins of the statues really is the icing on the cake. Fantastic work.
For some reason when i listen to Hades OST my breath is taken and i cry little bit. I'm just so happy for people who can create such art pieces and for those who can enjoy it.
This is one of my favorite tracks in the game so far, every run gets better when i get to vibe in this area killing monsters left and right.
Not sure if I should be jamming to this banger music or be lost in the sadness embedded in it

when i glanced through the tech test when that was going on, they had left all of the music in. it's referred to internally as associated with the "mourning fields", a place in greek mythology where people with broken hearts roam. so probably something to do with that
It’s a specific area filled with spirits mourning their losses.

From what I found, this place within the Underworld is only referenced by Dante's Inferno, and is nowhere to be found in either Greek or Roman mythology. Not so sure about Romans, but from what I scoured, no major mentions in Greek myths.

Am I the only one who hears a smidge of "Good Riddance" in this theme? The part where she sings"Calm and mild, safe from all harm" seems pretty close to this song's main melody
