the FLUTE GUY ABOUT TO GO NUTS IN THE GAME AWARDS
Oh god i need this now
First Xenoblade 3’s godlike soundtrack and now the godlike roguelike gets flutes. Flute guys all around the world are eating like kings.
the game wont be out this year so will have to be next year then
@@ikelos8190 its ok i can wait untill nnext year
@@TheShanicpower Chronoz really wants that Endless Now of flutes, huh.
Fun Fact: the reason the Flute is the main instrument is because in mythology, Polyphemus became blind when Odysseus stabbed him in the eye with a flute. So this is the most literal use of the term "insult to injury" by having this be one of his fight themes
Isn't this more of a Panflute or am I mistaking it?
@@Mantafirefly Flute is Flute i aint a woodwind expert
Odysseus and his men used a sharpened stake, not a flute.
@@delzhand it was a musical sharpened stake you could blow through to vividly mimic the sounds of a flute
@@Mantafirefly The featured musician, Josh Plotner, shows on his instagram that he is playing a regular, western concert flute (plus a bass version) on this track. There are techniques with the flute that give that more hollow sound you're hearing that (I'm guessing) is giving the pan flute vibes. I wasn't sure either :)
I really dig this one, kudos to the flute player.
Hades II absolutely needs to win "Game of the Year" and "Best OST" awards whenever it officially releases. So maybe 2024 or 2025. Whenever it is, it truly deserves the awards
I love the contrast in the soundtrack that the Underworld gets metal music and the Surfface is more Electronic vibes
I was going to wait to get the game but then I heard this one, guess I'll get it right now what a phenomenal piece
right there with ya, told myself Id wait but listening to all these absolute bangers is making the temptation hard to ignore
@@chiobsidian one flute solo and now i'm at 50 hours of play time on a week old game lol
This has to be one of my favourite tracks in Hades II. When I stepped into the Necropolis in game, just had to full on stop for a few minutes to just bop to the music. It’s so good. Thank you so much Darren
Yup. Me as well. I was slipping up from grooving and then at 4:30, I just lost it and had to pause.
My day one purchase was justified by this one track itself. Its that good.
Waited 3 years patiently to hear Darren cook once more and he never fails to deliver.
If you listen closely at certain points in the background when the 4 notes play over and over (ex. 1:01), they're the same as the ones in In the Blood (specifically at 2:12 of that song). A really cool callback.
In the blood also plays in a certain room in tartarus
@@asagoldsmith3328 yeah, and when certain dialogue came and the theme of into the blood came up, "ah, thanks Supergiant, time to bawl my eyes out again"
@@PhilipAlexanderHassialis Are you talking about the visitor room or the throne room boss theme?
I am a simple girl, if there is a flute in a song, I’m down for it. Kudos to the band 🎉
how much do you want to destroy the sound in this sundtrack.
DAREN: YES
The buildup on this one is absolutely brilliant
I think you need a brain, child. And a life, child. And stop with the cooking compliment. Child.
THAT FLUTE HOLY FUCK
This reminds me of the fight music in Bauldur's Gate 3 with the bass/whatever the string is here and it's tempo, but it a really good way. And it keeps surprising me when I think it's over with another instrument, the flute caught me so off guard it woke me up from my nap lol. It's so good!!!
The track name is Twisted Force, and yeah, that string section near the opening goes unbelievably hard
I was thinking "this has YOO GABBAGABEE" vibes the whole way through.
I think it's a oud the string instrument, it would explain how he make those glisando.
Yes sounds just like it!
I love Darren Korb. What a genius.
I thought what was so familiar in the finale, then opened Transistor OST and there it was - Dormant.
Darren is now unleashed, i'm crying 😭🤍
We finally got the Darren Korb x Jethro Tull collab
That flute going places gods cannot go
First part is straight Metal Gear Solid 3 vibes, then it goes HARD.
I see the gods have sent their blessings to the soundtrack team as always :) 🖤
apollo and his muses personally oversaw this one FOR SURE
I've been absolutely glued to this game, and the boss version of this song still gives me absolute chills. Insane. Would love to work on games like these guys someday.
Thanks for this game, Supergiant ❤️
6:58 goes CRAZY
Insane drum and flute combo, what the actual fuck Darren.
4:24 just leaving this here
The drum solo that starts at 6:57 reminds me much of a track from DEADBOLT and I am not upset in the slightest bit
The best track in the game
this...goes...hard
in the most literal sense
Props to Darren for holding out on the alien sounds for a song so the flute could shine.
def my favorite
Remember to bring the Knuckle Bones into the fight with the Big Guy!
I'm def feeling some Ian Anderson meets Electronic, meets Metal..and I LOVE IT.
Here, little sheep...
There you are!
Are you... Shoveling?
Supergiant you done did it again 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Holy duck, what a track! I can't stop listening it.
TOOOO GOOD
To my amusement and bemusement, CZcams is providing a "translate to English" link here that turns "TOOOOO" into "SOOO."
...really, CZcams?
@@jmgriffee i have never once seen the translate option on anything but English comments
Darren Korb is a genius. Josh went nuts on this one too
*You frightened mah sheep. Dat's a big no-no in dis town.*
Now I gotta eat ya.
This music is not making my decision to wait and buy the game when it is completed any easier for me. Amazing soundtrack so far.
That's a hard choice. The game's already amazing, with a staggering amount of content.
The game currently has more gameplay content than hades 1, but it definitely feels like there is not nearly as much story content as it
@@SomeoneTookMyOldName Yet.
@@SomeoneTookMyOldName Well, the game isn't yet complete, you know.
Omg, this song is hard
what are you DOING to me JOSH
Omg, it's soooo goood, really a masterpiece

Incredible
PLEASE I will pay someone for this sheet music I want it so bad
You literally surpassed yourselves with Hades 2 music! Hecking iconic💅💅💅
This flautist is a rockstar in my books
YES this down tuning drop slaps! And pipes! yooooo
I didn’t think the music from the first Hades could be topped, Boyo was I wrong!
I mean it's easy to top a garbage soundtrack like these two
Are you fucking mad ?@@mihaimercenarul7467
@@mihaimercenarul7467bait used to be believable
@@mihaimercenarul7467 The only garbage here is the shit you post in all Hades videos, mate
AYYYYOOOOOO!!!🥵🥵❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
I love this track so much. 💚
That bass in the boss section tho
God damn. God DAMN.
Holy shit
Not buying OST of Supergiant is a legal crime. :)
Holy fuck
If yall like the flute on this track you should check out The Magician by Blood Ceremony, but also their whole discography. Living with the Ancients has good flute and church organ.
Hmm im hungry....
I love this song I just really with yall included a snippet of the bass solo when you’re in the fountain area of the main city bc it goes so hard by itself
6:58
Who says flutes can't be awesome!?!?!?
When you are rying to tune your guitar in the middle of the song
