      The very story of Chronos (well, Cronos, originally) proves that principle doesn't work. The opposite happens time and time again. Titans were laid low by the gods, who were their descendants (although they were helped by Gaia). Gods, like Ares and Aphrodite, can be hurt by mortals - like Diomedes, who wounded both in the Trojan War (although he was helped by Athena). A demi-god like Achilles was killed by Paris, a mortal (although helped by Apollo). Age and power don't make any being invincible, in Greek mythology. But we can notice that in all these cases, there was some external divine help... so the main question is: who is helping Chronos ?

    • @TheGyldenaut
      @TheGyldenaut Před měsícem +60

      @@bokarndiaye323The only possible primordial I can see assisting Chronos is Tartarus itself.
      Chaos has been neutral in all things, including creation itself and I assume only help’s because it’s a bit of amusement, Nyx is captured. While Gaia helped Chronos take down Uranus, she did later help Zeus and the others take down Chronos so I doubt she would help later. Uranus got castrated by Chronos so no love there, and Eris is very connected to Nyx, along with Eros being connected to Aphrodite and thus the other Olympians.
      Plus that’s where his shred body was sent to, so that’s my plausible hypothesis, plus it’d be interesting to see Tartarus the God appear for once, rather than just the location.

    • @Karomix3
      @Karomix3 Před měsícem +10

      @@bokarndiaye323 The gods were outright said to be even stronger than the titans hence why they lost, and were also helped by the cyclops who forged their weapons (Zeus's lightning bolt, Hades' helmet of invisibility and Poseidon's trident), and the 100 arms giants who threw basically entire mountains at them by virtue of being able to throw a hundred rocks at once. And here, well Hades outright said he never expected to see his father again, so he had the element of surprise which always help, and yeah he might have some help, and also tries to get help from the Fates themselves, but who knows how well that will fare. Probably not well for him. If he gets help, it would be interesting to see it coming from other titans, like Atlas or Hyperion, if you can get help from Sysiphus in the first game he probably could get Atlas's help in the second. We already saw Selene, so who knows.

    • @bokarndiaye323
      @bokarndiaye323 Před měsícem +14

      @@Karomix3 Other Titans could be interesting, yeah - although I do still think that the presence of Arachne (mortal, hubris, punished), Hercules (mortal, hubris, punished), Icarus (mortal, hubris, punished), plus the several other witches (like Medea, who is mortal), can paint an interesting theme of mortals' ability to best gods. My personal theory: we know from Hades 1 that Zagreus died at birth - the flames of his feet died out, which drove Persephone to flee to the surface. My guess is that *this didn't happen to Melinoe.* We've never seen her die like her brother, and be carried to the Styx: only return to shadow. And she thrives on the surface, when Zagreus felt drained. My theory ? She's the first living goddess of the Underworld.

It just so happens that some versions portray Hades as not being as big of a jerk as the others, and it just so happens that the Titans are even worse. The gods only look good by comparison, but Zeus for example was straight up a r*pist who punished his own victims for not acting the way he wanted them to. The thing with Hades is that some media portrays him as evil because he's the god of the underworld, which some people associate with Satan.

    Wait wait wait, how is nyx in that situation? I am not well aware of what is going on with hades nor with the mythology itself but can someone explain to me how that happnes. From what I know Choros while powerfull can't compare to Nyx or even Gaia. Btw why does Chronos looks like an egpyt god minus the animal head, what is going on?!

      Cronos has the power of plot. He would've gotten his ass handed to him so i guess he had to freeze her

      my assumption was he paused time around her first and foremost, hence why she's in a different room. surprise time stop can be very effective on even the strongest beings. though how she is remain frozen after a while is another matter... maybe he's suspended her in a prison of eternal day?
      as for his egyptian look, sands of time and all that y'know? plus the egyptian mythology is older than the greek, so could be referencing how he dressed like them cause that was "the hip thing with the kids" at the time.

      Time is still a more powerful force than night. Without time, the cycle of day and night might as well not exist

      Because Hypergiant decided to fuse the Primordial Chronos, time itself, and Cronus/Cronos/Kronos the Titan of the Harvest. Whose only claim to time where the agricultural seasons
      Since Hypergiant gave him this boost, it makes sense he could overpower Nyx. After all even the Night and Day (Nyx and Hemera) are subject to time itself

    I think any game depicted Chronos doesn't exactly hit the spot tbh.
    In GoW he was a colossal brute and here just a scrawny creep. He doen't really emit the mystic timelessness as Chaos did in first game.

    It bothers me so damn much that in Chronos=Kronos in this game.
    I imagine the actual Chronos is like "the fuck I do?" After Chaos and everyone is mad at him after Kronos did all his bs
