What a great way to reassure smaller booktubers about starting on Netgalley! It took me months to finally feel like I could make a profile
Thank you! Once I realized I could do it, I wanted everyone to know😊
thank you for this! it was so helpful!
Super helpful! I've always been intimidated with the netgalley process, thanks for de-mystifying it
You’re very welcome! Thanks for watching😊
Thanks for all this information! So helpful! 🥰
You are very welcome!🥰💕
I felt the same way! I was like wow when I got approved for my first ARCS! Also congrats on over 100 subscribers 🍾🎉❤️🥰
Thank youuu I appreciate it!😇💕
great and in-depth video Lo!!
Thank you Spens!!😊
Thank you so much for this! I was too nervous to try out netgalley but now I’m definitely going to! ❤️
Meredith you gotta! It's so much fun but definitely a little intimidating at first💕
This was really helpful! I have heard of Net Galley but really didn't know how it worked - so thanks
You're so welcome!😊
This was such a great video! I am an indie author and came across your video because I am trying to decide whether to sign up for it on the other end. It's such a wonderful feeling to think that readers on the other side would be excited about receiving an ARC to review :) Thanks for the motivation to dig deeper :)
I’m so glad you found it helpful💕💕
You made this video with perfect timing!! A book I'm really looking forward to just came available on Netgalley 🥰 (it's Tasha Suri's The Oleander Sword) it'll be my first request and I needed some help orienting myself on there lol. Thank you!!
So happy I could help! Good luck! I hope you get itttt💕💕
great video. ive been thinking of signing up. i do this for Amazon first reads
You definitely should! It's cool to have early access!!
This was super helpful! I requested a book over the summer, and today, at the end of November, I just got approved, and I had totally forgot all about NetGalley, ha ha! I was scrambling, and thank goodness I found your video!!
I’m so happy it was helpful🥰🥰
Had this on my "must eatch this" video list in my brain 😆 This was brilliant! Truly excellent video, so clear about what to do, screen shots added in really helped too. You are inspiring so many booktubers! I am definitely considering it, but I am not an e-reader, or audio book reader. So something I might need to look into! Hope you keep enjoying your early access 💜📚
Wow this is incredibly kind💕🥹 I appreciate you!!
Ty forthe informative video
loved this video! so informative!
I used netgalley for a very short period last year and I liked it. I think I never to get back to it sometime soon
I’m glad you enjoyed it!!! Thank you so much for watching😇
Oh I have been so interested in how to do this! I always thought I had to do something special in order to get one! 🥺
Nope! Go for ittt💕
@@LiterallyLo I literally just made an account and requested books 🥰
I find this very interesting and more power to ya. I don't think I will dip my toe in. I am such a mood reader than even the thought of a deadline is like nope 🤣
Fair it can def be a little stressful but it’s also cool and fun!💕
Hey there!
I saw your video posted on MJ’s Discord page. How was not subscribed to you? 😬 My apologies! I’ve taken care of that. I appreciate this video, it was something I never knew about. I enjoyed learning something new.
Omg I had no idea MJ had a Discord page! I'm going to check that out today! I subbed back and look forward to watching your videos going forward💕
Great video! I get denied emails also lol. I also have been approved for a book over a month after requesting and I completely forgot I requested it lol starting out that ratio is so hard to get up lol
It can be a struggle for sure! Thank you so much for watching!!💕
Thanks for this video! I went to your GoodReads account and don't see the Arc list to find your reviews. Do you mind providing a link to some of the reviews? Thanks!
Thank you for this! I’ve wondered about this process, but it doesn’t sound like Netgalley will be for me. I have a Goodreads, but I don’t do written reviews. I exclusively review on my channel lol.
I don’t think I was very clear, what I was saying is that if you don’t have a platform such as a blog or a booktube channel, a goodreads account is probably enough. I definitely think you could get some ARCs (if you want them!)
@@LiterallyLo ohhh ok gotcha. Yeah I thought a Goodreads account was required. Thanks for clarifying.
this is so helpful! I just got my first couple ARCS and I cannot tell you how excited i was when i got the email 😂 Do you ever put your youtube review link at the bottom of the net galley review? Also rando question that I could probably look up lol: how soon before the release date do you write your review? Or do you just review whenever you finish the book no matter the release date? Great video!
I link my videos to the reviews once I make the video. I just go in and edit the review and add it to the social media link thing. Also, I personally just review once I finish the book no matter what the release date is. I just do it before the release date.
@@latashahaynesreads thanks!
I think I meant to the first time and never did for any of mine😬 but I always say “I’ll review this book on my booktube channel in early May” or whatever. I always review them in a fair amount of depth on goodreads too so I feel like it’s ok🤷♀️
I just try to get it in before honestly. Sometimes I’ve done it a week or two before and sometimes I’ve done it on the release date. Like I said in my video, I also got Black Cake after the release so I just read it as soon as I could. I dont think there are strict rules!
Hi can you explain to me if a "proper review" is a DNF as well ? Stating why you couldnt finish the book because of X reasons
I want to join but im a very critical reader so I DNF frequently but i dont want it to ruin my rep on the website either ;(
Do u know how to remove the books from the app
