  • My bronze tabby chamber Leslie S5T annihilating the woods on a cold 6 degree Celsius Winter night.
Air pressure ranged from 115psi down to 60psi, and fed through 3/4" hose from a 10 gallon air setup.
All power chambers are in excellent condition, and new diaphragm kits have been fitted.
This horn was ridiculously loud, and at times the sound waves made me mildly dizzy.
Enjoy the deep haunting Leslie roar.

Thank you ‪@MelbournesTrains‬ for recording the audio. If you hear random footsteps, that's because he was walking around because he was paranoid the Leslie would summon a Yowie or Bigfoot.

I wish they would bring back the variable valves for train horns. I get that it’s more expensive but it gave gave trains so much more character.

I agree manual valves are better. Also provides more warning flexibility as it’s not always necessary to go full stage in urban areas for example.

Thanks. This is an S5T. The RS5T is the later newer model (1978 onwards) and sounds very slightly different.
