FS Model 7 Siren Test -- 8/7/24 -- 1 Min Alert + Ambience -- Lake MacBride, IA

This was my third and successful attempt on recording this Model 7 at Lake MacBride State Park. Last year, siren testing was cancelled and on July, my main camera crapped out on me, so I decided to head back to this siren. I noticed that this time, the Model 7 did not sound off for a second cycle of alert, but various other surrounding T-128s, T-135s and Whelens in North Liberty, Solon, and unincorporated Johnson Co. did, making a good ambience on top of that. Last year, a park employee told me that this siren used to serve the city of Hills, which is located just south of Iowa City, before being refurbished and relocated to Lake MacBride.
