Yes sir -- some very talented people out there. You are one of them. I seen a picture of your internal spline cutter on a previous video. I saved it to my computer. I was actually planning on making something like this but I was going to use a grinder as a power unit. Unfortunately even when I hooked a dimmer switch to the power cord the it only reduced the speed by 50% to around 5000+ rpm and that's to fast. I made a video on it. Your drill idea is much better. Next make a vacuum former for plastic. I made one using toaster oven elements. Very easy to do and works well. I did a video on this as well. I have one question -- -- -- Are the splines even all the way through the work piece ? I ask this because there will be flex on that boring bar so the splines may be shallower at the back.. You didn't show a picture of the back side of that work piece.
you are right brother.. the back is narrower than the front, but it can still be fixed by turning the workpiece upside down or sharpening the cutting knife or changing the degree of the Toolpost
@@mick1gallagher With all due respect --------- this is NOT nonsense if you are desperate and need to make parts. I believe the part he made is usable. It would need to be hardened to last but if you need a part and can't get it then a guy just has to make his own parts. I have made rubber intake manifolds and rubber engine mounts by making my own molds and the parts mentioned by using a two part rubber compound. The durometer was correct. Those parts were for a two stroke 1985 Honda FL350. You can't buy those parts anymore so you have to make them. There are always critics.
