- Car was parked. Got in an everything worked as usual but the engine would not Crank. Car would not start at all. Just heard a faint Click each time. Checked the battery terminals. Everything was clean. The battery was jumped. Still nothing. Everything worked. Dash lights were good. Radio turned on. Blower motor worked...just wouldn't Crank..

Had the same issue. Replaced battery and it worked then it stopped a day later. Negative terminal cable was loose. Replacing terminal because the one it comes with it trash fixed my issue.

Wow having the same problem exactly the same problem with my Jeep Cherokee sport so now it's in the dealer ship shop but haven't been able to get updated on it from there but two auto shops I have tried said it's ignition switch problem but I will update on it again.

That just happened to me today also the car wouldn’t start at all , I tried everything I tried putting the car in override and put it in neutral and it didn’t say anything it said the car was on park I even put the emergency break on even before I put the car in neutral and it didn’t show it was on neutral it just stayed locked on park and the car started rolling back , the car jus kept not turning on but it did crank it jus never started

I have a 2015 Jeep renegade and it’s not turning on at all . It first started and I got to the end of the parking lot with my daughter she got on the bus . And I was trying to start my car back up and it’s not trying to turn on at all

Mine does the same shit and will sometimes throw every code in the book including service everything. I’ll get it started by leaving it on accessory for a little and then it cranks, but sometimes cranks into limp mode. I replaces the battery with the best one you can get for those cars over a year ago. A couple of days ago I had that battery tested and it was bad, so I utilized the warranty and got a new one. We will see how that goes but apparently the batteries for these cars goes bad more often than not. Plus hella recalls
Make sure your terminals are clean. Also make sure that they are tight. You want to also make sure your ground wire is not corrroded.
@@peterl6095 this new batteries terminals were weird haha the power couldn’t clam all the way down on it because it was too small so I took some pliers to it and squished it down a little. The negative was too big so I took some small snips and wedged then between the two side to open it up some more. They are right and corrosion free. I’m ordering a circuit tester to check the fuses and the relays. But we shall see what happens before that arrives.

2011 jk same shit. I disconnected the negative battery (10 mil wrench). I came back from the store it started 2 hrs later. 🤔 So let's start posting what works.
Try cleaning the terminals and tightening the terminals.

Another video showed it was an unto shutdown relay ? Mine just started (2005) with the remote car starter and then I hit the brake on accident and now it won’t start 🤬🤦🏼♀️

It’s the battery dying, my 2019 jeep Cherokee does the same thing…. First sign is your car saying “stop and start unavailable” second is all the codes you get are 9/10 gonna be communication codes. From what I’ve learned dealing with my car it’s almost like the batteries dies completely for a split second and all electrical things lose communication and causes the car to go into limp mode “reset transmission , stability control etc”. Check your battery life and alternator life not just their output but their life make sure they’re not malfunctioning or in the process of giving out.
Because that usually the cause of what your dealing with once the car notices the sensors are still supported it will fire right back up and run fine
If you are stranded and want to make it home or to the shop without a tow while dealing with this situation you must reset your cars computer “ecu ecm pcm” etc check your fuse box and pull the ecm and pcm fuses wait about a minute and plug them back in and your car should run fine 👌🏾

mine wouldnt crank over, dash lights, a/c came on but wouldnt crank over, put i got a jump and it started up
@@ethansullivan1 yeah that’s usually a sign it’s most likely going to happen a few more times within the next month before your battery fully dies
Same thing happened to me, start stop system became unavailable which I thought was convenient. Then my car wouldn’t start 2 weeks later, even after replacing the main battery. The auxiliary battery seems to be the culprit.
@@arji8751 get your alternator tested as well i Believe the secondary batter is only in the grand Cherokees so I’m not to familiar with there resolve since I have a basic Cherokee

Probably the starter go get that checked because in my situation my mom jeep Cherokee I think 2015 the car is not picking up the key fob I got it to work the first time it wouldn’t start by taking out the key battery and putting it back in but after that that day it would say key fob not detected even though it’s in the car so me an my pops came to the conclusion it’s probably the starter so I’ll give ya an update

I'LL TELL YOU WHAT HAPPENED WITH IT, THE LAST TIME HE GOT OUT OF THE CAR TO CHECK THE LIGHTS THE CAR RAN HIS ASS OVER CUZ NOT EVEN THE VEHICLE COULD TAKE HIS SHIT NO MORE, CRYING LIKE A 5-YEAR-OLD
2017 jeep Cherokee Limited- same issue. Won't start, brake pedal is REALLY hard to push on to start. Remote start doesn't work either. Going back today to have look as the happened at 11 o'clock at night. Will try to jump it, check for loose terminal wires etc.

Try changing your Fob Key battery.
@@peterl6095 funny you say that because we just had them replaced 2 months ago. We had an error message on the dash about key fob battery low .... or something like that. So we took the fobs to the dealership and they swapped in new little fob batteries.
It could be those, not sure. Will try today

@@marlinfrank6140 yes, it was just a dead battery. We jumped it in the morning and took it straight to the dealership. And they said dead battery. So, it was 5 yrs old so probably due for a new battery.

BUT I want to say I dealt with this same exact issue NO crank, No start but accessories worked......Lol my wife left the car in drive and turned it off 🙃 and I over looked it up until the tow truck came realizing he had to put the vehicle in neutral... It was in drive.. put it in park fired right up

If anyone is looking for the answer I just found it press the brake REALLY HARD Before jump starting the car idk why I tried it for like 15 minutes before without it and went and saw a video saying to do that and it worked sooo do what you can with this information:)

I have a 2015 Jeep Cherokee KL longitude
I have an intermittent issues where mine failed to start, but it starts with a jump,
it was good after new battery but last service the said the battery is weak, this can't be true as it's a new batt,
but the alternator is not churching properly
watching the charge on the dash it is fluctuating massively so it is either a loose connection or the alternator is on its way out
TLDR
check the battery and alternator changing
its probably one or both of them
