Solo rec should be based off of average grade…
Let the C and D average grade players play against each other and the B and A players play against each other…easy fix imo.
It's not that simple. Once you start grouping grades together, you end up with the same problem which is going against the same play style every time. A players play a certain way, B players play a certain way, etc.
I said that because imo C and D averages don’t take the game seriously or they seriously lacking in something to average low grades..2k just call them casual players..

The shooting problem online is the servers issue. Inconsistencies in latency is why shots are not hitting. One game you go 5/6 from 3, next 1/6, even though you are releasing on the right cue. Goes back to the old servers.
Facts
Part of the problem is..a lot of the community wants "no zone rec" more than "solo rec". People want to chill and play pick up ball and not have to deal with pro am wannabes sitting in 2-3 and slowing the game down to a chess match. Rec is meant for recreation, in my opinion. Every1 is hell bent on being "comp" sucking the joy out of the game.
Exactly well put. Pro am was definitely designed for squads and friends with teams in 3v3 or 5v5 instead they stay in rec zoning and trapping in th rec center that was designed for solo all CZcamsrs stay in rec beating solo or randoms in rec

Na people mostly play solo rec because they have no choice no good ppl to play with who really wants to play with bots all day it's the worst experience but have no choice
@@knolo I hear ya, but I disagree. It's honestly not that difficult to find people to play with. It's difficult when you squad up with new/random people and play against at a full pro am squad. I've played random rec. in 10 games you're guaranteed to get matched with trash players in 8 of them. The problem is people want to play pro am in rec, because they don't want to deal with people who cheese better than them.
I love solo REC. It’s not perfect, and the term “randos” fits so well. But I love it when 5 players come together with no ego and play the right way. When it’s me and a friend and we go into a game, we will play team ball, but the other 2-3 plays “buddy ball 😠”. It is what it is 🤷🏾
It’s a rarity for me to come across randoms that actually passes the ball or who doesn’t purposely sell. I stay running around with people that will shoot 8/23 FG but won’t think to pass the ball unless they’re close to a shot violation
I love solo rec when you have a team willing to share the ball. However, solo rec really 2k in general has a crazy toxic community. I shoot 63% from three yet dudes will lose their mind if I miss. lol 😂

Honestly I agree, I used to be a heavy shooter guard type but I made my build a small forward for the defensive advantage I still shoot if not better as good as any guard around but my group of friends egos get in the way of me being the player I want to be, making builds based around mine just so they can score I now have a big man whenever I play with them and I still average 4-7 touches in a game as a stretch big that’s crazy considering no one wants to guard me in the corner all game 😂 but randoms have given me better quality games and more wins. I can’t even get a 1st game on win with my guys because they all want to play selfish basketball
My user name is RecSolo for a reason, I learned to set the example when it comes to passing and playing the right way, I personally believe a lot of the sellers and ball hogs are teenagers n kids. Yes it’s frustrating, but once they quit out the game it’s better 😊but yea I love solo rec!

No Squad rec is DEFINITELY the best thing they could have done for random rec. Completely eliminated "Buddy Ball" the tough part is, its a roll of the dice to get 4 other players on the same page. But when you do, its pretty easy to run off 3-4 W's the key is you gotta pray for a Solid PG & Big Man. 😂

I respect your opinion, but in my experience, squad rec is nothing but buddy ball. I go in there with two buddies and without fail, the other squad of two plays buddy ball. And it’s not just occasionally buddy ball, it’s the entire game. It ruins my team score and it’s unplayable
@@MrMolsbee Nah I feel you. We have a rule for "Squads" "No less than 3". 😂 because yes they will "Buddy Ball" you and keep the ball away from 2 people. It's either we have 3 or im playing no squads 🤷🏿♂️😂

I went from gold badge to half way down brown badge in two days from random rec and park. Getting sold in a rec game hurts way more
I think to make the experience better, the casual, hooper and MVP thing should give you rewards like more VC or like badge progression or something after the game, because nobody cares about how they play in rec because there’s no incentive to play good. If I’m purple or MVP status i should be getting something for consecutively playing good games
Me and solo rec gotta love/hate relationship. I wish 2k did a better job with matching making. Being a 99 goat but being put in games with a 93 overall casual is annoying. Every now and then 2k gets it right but most times they don't and then when yall lose it drops you down far asf even if u played a good game with a great teammate grade etc

Solo rec is cool sometimes, but when it’s just one or two of the homies and y’all want to run rec, the squad matchmaking is HORRIBLE.
It’s all or nothing with me. Gotta get a whole 5 or run solo cause going in with 2 or 3 is guaranteed to run you into a 5 man dom-squad of all purple badges while they throw you in with 2 browns and a black badge who average 10-20% shooting from three.
Solo rec would be improved when people stop thinking me me me.

Fixing the latency will help the game a lot. It’s definitely slower than last gen and that’s not how that should work
The game going up from free has flooded the game w so many brown shirt level ones in the park u cant even get a game anymore without one jumping on the spot and making everyone leave. Then the good teams just get to get easy wins all day cause they will keep jumping on the spots over and over because they dont even care about losing..
That is not true,sounds like you are not as good as what you think you are at the game. My homie and I always have a 70 overall or less on our squad. We also have a 63% win rate,you can always hop off the spot and only play teams with one of those 60s on them.

All City, the servers aren’t bad, they’re horrific. I get motion sickness from the lag sometimes. I wish this was hyperbole, but it’s not.

@@johnnycapote9817 I’m most definitely hardwired, but it’ll be a cold day in hell before I ever play on a monitor. I have a mounted 80 inch tv in my man cave. Im not putting a monitor in my downstairs movie area like I’m a college kid
I understand the size of the TV will increase the latency, but it shouldn’t be a bit laggy. 500 mbps and 0 lag on any other game.

for solo rec we need to see stats before before the game in the lobby like previous 2ks, we need to see how often people leave games, people leave at the start of the game cause the other team has 10-2 run,

@@JustNate365 Bruh majority of people on 2K don’t run squads…. People shouldn’t have to team up with 4 other people everyday just to get good runs with competent teammates.
Also squads are no better, these dudes be getting smacked around in squads all day too. Do you know how many purple and gold teams get matched against black overalls with no rep and they all leave the game?
It ruins the new players experience and makes the experienced players bored and not challenged. Pro Am is honestly no better either, because once you start winning too much you can’t even get consistent matches.
I think what would help out solo rec is reimplementing a feature that 2K had a few years back and that’s showing a players stats before the game. The stats were never accurate which is probably why it was taken out. They had mfs averaging 2000 steals per game 😂. The most important thing should be showcasing a players shooting percentages from the field and the three in the matchmaking lobby. I’d never stay in a game if I knew my pg shot 17% from the three point line. I don’t care how dominant of a rim runner or paint masher you are, I need my spacing! And the fact that the only “real” way we can check if a player were matchmaking with is bad or not is by whether they’re a “brown or black”? When that system is way more nuanced than just saying if a player is good or bad. I’m all for hiding players win percentages because if they showed it then people would never play 😂😂😂 but we need to be able to see a players full stat line averages and percentages before we decide if we want to play with this person
I suck at shooting now on 2k but my defense and iq are good so that means players like me would never get games then.

how would removing the jumpshot meter help? The main 2k cronus script has it so you manually input the timing when you should be releasing for a green by going in the game and recording your input (to show when u let go of x) then telling the scipt how long you hold for, i dont know any more than that so im confused on how the meter would make them useless?
Solo rec can be improved by stopping squads from going in keep it for pro am
I ran into a titan or zen yesterday. I have a 93 perimeter. Guarding him close all game. And kept making 60% or more contested. It's been a few months or longer since Ive seen one

While I understand where u’re coming from, but at the end of the day it’s a game. imagine missing a wide open game winning shot due to algorithm in the game placed just to make the game more “realistic”. Players should be able to shoot 70 percent plus if they’re taking smart shots/ open. Irl Steph curry shoot 40 percent because most of his shots are contested.

My game has been extra laggy, error codes, Skips and freezes.. only game I have this issue with.. got error coded yesterday (during a good game as usual) dropped from almost silver on a new build back to black.. didn't even play anymore after that. It's terrible.. I do alot of work online from home so my internet is nothing less than premium fiber and its still kicks me from game and lags literally every game.
I have 1GB internet service and lag every day. It’s the ONLY game that lags every single day. It’s like they don’t invest at all in the game.

Idk what they should start with fixing but i know for certain shot meter means nothing. People will always try to cheat the random shot timings and also jump shot bases having hidden values that make bases actually meta is a problem
I play in solo rec a lot because I still can't get on the AllCity discord, not sure why but the link does not work no matter who sends it to me. At any rate I play in solo rec and what needs to be changed is the match making system, no random squad who have NEVER played together should come up against a 5 stack. I feel rec should be for casual grinders personally but that's my opinion, I'd love to be on a squad and play with comp. I long for the completion and like to get better.
My shooting has definitely suffered something has changed because I was shooting fine now.I can't hit wide open shoots in the corner with take and Lethal with a 94 3pt 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

I played last week against a team whose Pg was 23-23 from 3. He scored about 4 times with 70% or more coverage, something ridiculous. I had never seen anything like it. He scored from half court as they were layups.
I love solo rec but the first thing is the overall cap needs to be higher for our builds , I should be able to upgrade to 93 off rip to avoid the 92 and under crowd ( they’re horrible ) server issues are an issue at times, the out of bounds has to be addressed , the goofy full court passes that don’t allow you to adjust to the ball mid air , the shots a’s take needs to be better , when I call for the ball it’s needs to be quicker
I’m shooting 59% from the field and 47% from 3 and I always play solo rec. it’s depressing at this point.
The thing is the person saying he missing jump shots you have to ask is your controller wireless because that some times makes a difference
When a new card gets dropped in Myteam, their animations get updated to keep them relevant. TMac got cards recently that's why his animations changed slightly.
I’ve only played 1 zen/titan users to my knowledge. I played him in the starting 5 game mode. I called for double team all game and he still put up 120 points. He had one of those barcode type Xbox names and his MyPlayer Name was ZZ Zen.

I’m getting a lot of slightly early all of a sudden but im wide open but a guy or girl im guarding can make a 79%
I'm a solo REC warrior and yeah, the overall experience is a desaster. Cause there's no matchmaking at all. They need to introduce the Elo-system into the REC. Have a door for ranked and one for unranked, 5 men or 3 men should be playing pro am. You can keep the same tiers and actually make them have some meaning with bronze, silver, gold and hof. You can also connect season rewards then to the achieved elo, like in almost every modern video game. To me it's unbelievable that this game has no matchmaking, that's the biggest problem. So introduce the elo-system, that should be number 1 priority.

The fix to the rec would be not to penalize for quitting and/or kick people that cause 3 TO (things like standing out if bounds, 3 in the key) in a row

I really wish that rec and pro am had the same latency. They took away the option of the pro am gym to shoot around and get a feel for your shot. The Gatorade gym is the closest to pro am latency and even that is still off a bit. I really wish that rec and pro am played the same way as far as latency and shot release... However, 2k has always had a different latency for different modes... Park, Rec, Pro Am, ect all have different timings. Maybe its just me but thats super annoying

i shoot 62-64% from 3 on my 2 main builds (i have an offensive heavy point with 92 and a lock that has 79 3). lately when i play with my boys i’ve been shooting soooo bad out of nowhere. im talking i was missing open shots with MAMBA.
at first i thought it was just me, i started thinking i was just trash. but it was across multiple games; shots i normally make (i use tmac base on both builds) have been “slightly late” each time i would miss open it was “slightly late” idk man something seems fishy. and if multiple people who use tmac are saying similar things then i can’t be tripping
I went to play rec today I’m 99 ovr and pro and im always getting put in lobby’s with 78s and 80s tha just started the game they need to fix that
Solo rec is a blast! I avg 40ppg and 8a and purple tier 85 win %. You run into so many different types of people. Some of the things I have heard randoms say make me laugh weeks later. Sure it’s frustrating sometimes but it’s a game.
I play solo rec. it’s not as bad as everyone makes it seems. They should bring stats back in the locker room/loading room.
I could be wrong but I don't think they're touching the jump shots I think it's the servers and the latency 🙄in the game I could be wrong🤷🏽♂️

I hate that if you high rep they place you on the team with low reps. Its probably something they have set up to help low reps win by placing them on teams with better players, but it makes the gaming experience horrible for the better players tho

I’ve literally dug deep to find out how zens and titans work and haven’t found anything certain. I think the only zenners now are gate keeping their own scripts.. I don’t think as many people as before after the PS5 patch and with the fixes 2k has done.
Solo rec is great but if I get an ankle breaker on an AI the recovery should take long. Considering how OP they are, this should just be a thing.
Had a game last night in solo rec where we went down 20 in the first half but got our shit together talked through it and came back and won. This is the exception but it makes it worth all the bullshit..
Solo rec is difficult only cause people are there for themselves. And I've been feeling the shot is off. Hopefully they change.
I believe they can fix solar rec We’ve just letting people make up in the locker room instead of In the gym If they make us up out the gate while waiting for other teams, we can converse in let people know not to play like shit and sell games. I believe that will help.

Splitting rec sounded like a good idea on paper but what you run into a lot is teams going in with 3 ai’s like the game never even attempts to find anyone else to fill in the team. Or even going in with 4 the game still only finds an ai for you. I’d rather have 1 coachable random than a ai that randomly runs around and in the way. But that’s my opinion and everyone has one.
Also I shoot over 70% in the rec so I can’t complain about shooting, I also have never used tmac or Patty mills.

I got a guy who uses a ZEN today. His shooting was unreal.
2k does too many shady things without letting the community know. 5 days ago I was shooting 54% from 3 had hot zones all around the 3pt line in the last 4 days that has dropped to 36% and destroyed all my hotzones.
Shooting can vary from game to game one game I could be shooting well hitting all my open shots next game different story
Damn this is wild! I thought it was just my internet! The lag has been so horrific! even trying to move around the city to the point where I haven't played in almost a week! It's also nuts, I have a guard with a 95 3pt, I would barely miss. But lately i swear I'm hitting more 3pts with my PF with a 77 3pt than my gaurd! Anyone else experience this?
I ain’t gotten patty mills base yet but I’ve been using curry and markelle fultz bases consistently throughout the year and in the last few days but jump shots have been feeling a lot different no matter which one I put on shooting 66 percent btw 🤣
Solo rec is fun/frustrating it’s just a game relax when you go into solo rec you should know what you are getting into
K they are patching specific jump shots, but I have noticed something over season 5, that seems algorithm based.ive been shooting between 64 and 65 percent all season. I can continuously upgrade my 3pt PCT until I hit 65.0 percent.once I hit 65, it forces me to miss until I go below 65, then it goes back to normal. I've hit 64.9 and 65.0 over 50 times this season alone, but not one time have I ever hit 65.1. Im not sure if this is an overall cap, or if this cap varies based on your 3pt attributes.im a 94 overall. I'd be interested to see proof if anyone at 94 or below 3ball are shooting above 65 PCT, because it's gotten so automatic that I won't even play my PG if I'm at 64.9 or 65.0, because it's a guarantee that I'll have to miss as many or more than I make .there may be more to it, but this is without a doubt ,a thing.

You should rep up for solid stats and % even in a loss. Getting punished cause 1 player sold is nuts.

Honestly, it’s pretty rare I run into zen users on psn , but majority of the problems I don’t experience because I play with crossplay off I’m shooting 60% from three and I was (past tense) shooting 35% with crossplay on and experiencing lag and delays, but once I switched to crossplay off I don’t expect the same things maybe it’s me ? Idk I have great internet connection my controller is wired Bluetooth is off my lan is connected and only thing on my WiFi is my phone , sad that I have to do this for 100$ game but yeah that’s my take I don’t typically play all day but I do play everyday. After 2 pm I’m a starter 3 and I mainly play ones . So this is my take .

Can we talk about cross play and how it has been terribly implemented. I thought we’d have events like PS5 vs Xbox Rec and Park for bragging rights. They dropped the ball. Also, Rec needs an overhaul. If my build reached MVP status you should see the highest level reached for a build or indicate that a player has reached MVP with x number of builds. I should also see stats broken out by build offline. They really need me to help them improve the experience.

i haven’t felt any shooting changes. past few season i’ve been shooting around 60% from the field and 55% from 3. this season im shooting 70% from field and over 65% from 3 with a 81 win% I don’t think there’s been any changes. just latency is worse on some days and better on others. people just gotta adapt. it sucks and we shouldn’t have to constantly adapt. a 70$ video game shouldn’t have this many problems but it is what it is.

They need to get rid of players stats in match making. so people can stop running i play with everyone because im a team player it shouldn't matter if your thinking team ball. And it should be matching u up with your w/L record for randoms with locked positions 1-5 so theres no mismatch leave that for squads
