Micro transactions ruined gaming. It's getting worse by the day.
Yearly releases and sports games, yes. Single player gaming is still alive & well.
FACTS EA wouldn't be any better. But what we really need to be mad at are these pro sports licenses that charge these gaming companies is why we have micro trans actions. Think about it Madden clips a billion dollars through micro transactions.

Way ahead of you. Me and my homie joke like its drugs. 3 weeks clean. Anytime our other guys are asking me to get on i just say na im not getting on today. My stretch glass was averaging 25pts 20 boards and 3 block and my sf was averaging 24 points and 3 steals. But the game was just toooo frustrating. No matter how good i got playing consistently, nothing stopped me from getting angry at how unbalanced the game is and how broken finishing around the rim is.

If we continue to flock as sheep by continuing to keep purchasing virtual microtransactions that don't even carry over to the next year's installment, then all I can say is to blame ourselves for allowing it to happen. I can't knock on 2K's hustle. If you put it out there long enough and you keep on buying it. Is 2K really to blame? The answer is NO.

I think EA should make a park and rec basketball game. They don’t need NBA licensing to make it if they don’t put NBA players in it. Also they should make it free if they add micro transactions.

On current gen the Asia pacific server for Rec has been down since Sunday.The worst part is they don’t tell you this you find out after waiting in the lobby for up to an hour for team to be assembled only to be stuck on the Rec Logo after the game loads. This has been happening since 2k22 and I’ve messaged 2K support multiple times to get answers and they just don’t care it’s bullshit
I haven’t loaded up the game since the new TOS came out. Yall signed it showing 2k they can do whatever and yall will still purchase the game.

something like that happen to me with 2K22 or 23. I wasn't playing it for a while and i decided to go back and play it one day and all the acquirements i needed for the jumpshot i had got adjusted and my jumpshot was no longer available for my player, i would had to buy more vc to get a whole new build to used that jumpshot. so i said screw it and never played that 2K again

I just noticed another way we have been getting finessed and why builds are so expensive... its cause attribute upgrade cost actually increase as your build level goes up. Ie 3ball upgrade from 60ovrl is less than at 80ovrl

only spent $40-$50 on 2k this year. 99 on ps4. averaging 20 a game. 91 on ps5 averaging 15. i’m actually loving association/my eras and career this year for the first time since 2k19/20..

Realistically its hard to put 2k basketball down bec it's the only basketball game ... but what we can do is after you make that first build stop giving them money... grind for the rest of your builds and gear... lost of revenue is the only thing coperations understand
Been playing since 2k2..Not getting 25.From badge regression,lethal zone homework,and the mircrotransactions alone they went too far for me. Sad because I love a lot about the gameplay outside of the inconsistent contest system. Enough’s enough

The fact that our rosters reset every year is bad enough. But now we can't even get a year of steady updates. 😕
Had to take a break from 2k. Hit Vet 2 and at 25% but with things like this happening or the amount of cheaters on competitive modes such as Pro-am & stage, it has caused me to get burned out. It’s sad cause my dislike of the game actually doesn’t come from gameplay this year, it’s really just the things that go on with everything else.
My list of things that turned the community off:
-Cheaters & 2k support taking forever to get to report tickets
-Unexpected changes such as this and auction house being removed
-Rep rewards having no real value. (SS3 should not be the best rep 💀)
-1 person’s animations every season after bragging about “ProPlay”
-Same old clothes being in the shop (spent a whole day pre-release talking about all the brands that’s gonna be in the game)
*Mind you, this is mostly mycareer*

@@DonFamilia62I agree, if I have an A+ but my team is ass because I’m playing with randoms, I shouldn’t lose rep. It should be solely based on your own performance in the game. Maybe not get as much rep as you would have received in a win, but definitely shouldn’t lose rep if you ball out and randoms sold you. I’ve played games when everyone quit, I was down by 30 in the second quarter, ended up losing by 5 with an A+ and went from the middle of purple to 3 quarters gold. Also only got like .1% on the rep bar. lol. 2k should also allow you to reset a build at least once. If you reached 99 with a build. At least once you should be able to recreate that 99 build however you want. Due to all the patches, the first build typically isn’t worth shit as the months pass.

The CEO and the chief executive officers are all at least topically aware of all of this, no way around that. Not only would this be covered in their strategy meetings, it’s not like they can’t go on Twitter and see it for themselves. The people who may not be aware, are the board members and investors, who ultimately choose to hire and fire each of those chief executive officers.

I literally spent 300 in total including the game and deleted it 2 months ago just not worth me stressing over a shot or animation 😢.
Gotta stop buying the game man. I get it. We all love basketball. And this is the main and really only one that people play but it’s gotta be a point where people say enough is enough. It’s just not going to change until people make it hurt them where it hurts the most.

Man I deleted cut my losses.. time to break this 2k addiction once and for all.. playing 2k is akin to having a gambling addiction atp. Spending money on new builds hoping to recreate the high of that first build and repeating it. Pay to win games definitely have a mobile gambling app characteristics coded into NGL...this game is just not financially beneficial to anybody ..

I stopped caring about the grind when 2k said join an affiliation and get +2 to your attributes. Everybody thought we'd get it the moment we joined, all of a sudden I gotta hit veteran. I've been working and playing 2k since it came out and I'm only a starter 2, i haven't even earned the animations in starter 3 yet

I barely play the game anymore 😭 cause it's not the same anymore 😡 my player speed is 86 and slow and sluggish as HECK my dribbling is like 80 I believe and he dribbles hecka slow are dribble all slow and late I can't do the dribble that I wanna do without the game making my player dribble all slow and late sometimes I can't even barely dribble like the game is frustrating I'm tired of going back and forth with my opponents where after I score they score afterwards and all types of foolishness ughh 😩😫

Glad I stop nms in season 2. I’ve missed the TOS. But, it’s most important to stop playing 2k games since the same TOS are most likely in their other games as well. It’s on you to leave this abusive relationship. 2k are horrible. But, you’re allowing it with your money and time. The time you spend allow ads to be shared whether it Gatorade or shoes. How many people decide to buy these products in real life because of 2k? They really don’t care about the pawns or customers. It’s on you to stop the abuse. People rarely change, but it’s on you to recognize that 2k are wolves that are currently eating you and your pockets. It’s on you to accept a wolf is going to do wolves things and stop hoping they change. Boycott all 2k games and hurt these bullies pockets.

Iam 42 cards away from that option pack and i have not spent much on the game. Yes i buy the pro pass but other then a few boxes being opened with vc. The rest i grind and use mt. So idk where people are getting 3k in real money. Mybe those last 42 cards are really expensive. But now it dosent even wanna make me continue collecting cards. I wanted my pg kobe. 2k patched my jumpshot in that last update, ppl can believe what they wanna believe, i couldnt miss since i made this js, ive even tried dumb shots to try and miss it, low and behold since that last update, I cant hit ansingle shot in rec or park, thanks 2k. They claim they dont patch jumpshots, im a coder thats not how it works, you change one thing it can easily effect another or change it, im furious because it took me months to find the perfect shot
Unfortunately, since 2K18/2k19 I have been what you call a "power user." I've spent thousands of dollars on these games and it's all been for nothing. If more people like myself stop giving 2K our bread then maybe we will see some changes. I vow to go NMS on 2K25, and I hope to stay true to that. If we keep giving this corporation all of this money they will never stop their shenanigans.
