The next foundation review I would love to see is the new Kosas Revealer Foundation and now that I've typed this out I thank I've already told you this, lol. Now I definitely want to try this Nars foundation out, everyone is loving it and you couldn't find anything wrong with it.
I was so sad because it was breaking apart like mad on my skin the first two times I used it. Then, I remembered you saying that you liked the Wet n Wild Impossible Primer and that did the trick! Look glorious and lasts all day. It's a silicone-free foundation and it needed a silicone-free primer to create a barrier between the foundation and skincare. Thanks for two amazing recommendations!
Okay, so I got the shade Vienna. It's slightly too dark as I don't have any tan yet this year, so it probably would be my summer shade, but I can get away with it. What I have to say is WOW! You were absolutely correct. It is stunning, and I have never worn a foundation that I didn't feel at least a tiny bit. I feel like I have 0 makeup on. My skin is so smooth. This...this is why I follow you almost religiously. Now I have to try the Guerlain too! Love the Nars 10/10 do recommend!
A nice finish on this one. I agree, the undertone is definitely not cool toned but rather neutral leaning peach, at least form this side that's how it appears. With that being said, this would be a great summer shade on you. 😊🌞

Yup, I'm a fan of this one, as well. I like the slight dewiness it seems to have on your skin! (I'm all about the dew!) The blush is SUPER happenin'! It looks so gorgeous! I’m chomping at the bit for China to change their regulations so that brands like NARS will officially be cruelty free. Until then, I’ll just drool from the sidelines 🤤 😍
It's got to be coming soon. I feel like it's been a year since we heard they were starting to loosen the regulations. I will be SO happy that day! I limit my non-CF buying to highly requested reviews like this but a brand like Nars, or MAC, where I have such great luck with their foundations, I want to buy more from them!

But yes, it is a tad bit more to the "yellow" side rather than the cool.. but with your hair color it works well and you are right about this being a great shade for spring - summer- fall.. good for you!!! I finally bought this today. It went on super light but oxidized on me, & when settled it was still my shade. The formula seems not drying, and a gentle matte finish.
Ok, update: I have tried Yukon, the next cool toned shade down. It is much pinker in tone than Vienna, which has more yellow as you noted. I mix Yukon with Deauville to get my shade as I am just a hair cool but mostly neutral. I do love the formula and wear of this foundation though so to me it’s worth it.
Wow! All that beautiful snow! Here in Texas we’ve got 2 seasons: summer & hot. Closest thing to snow is hail. 🤣😂😅 Also, makeup brush baseball? I want tickets to that! Anyway, another great review! 👍❤️

Hi Shelly, if you haven’t done so already, I’d appreciate a review of the Nars tinted moisturizer. It would be nice to have a review with a comparison of the new Nars foundation and Nars Sheer Glow foundation. I usually wear the same shades as you or 1-2 shades lighter. I think the shade Yukon might work for you in the light reflecting foundation (it’s Light 2.5). At the time I’m posting that shade and 31 other shades are available at Sephora at Kohl’s. Some of the shades may be available only via shipping and some of the shades may be available only in-store but many of the shades are available both in-store or via shipping. Also the Nars website has a special if the foundation is purchased in a bundle with either the pressed powder or loose powder. Thank you for the video!

I could not find the shade Vienna anywhere as that was the suggested color for me so I was given a sample but I also purchased Yukon and love it!! This is truly an amazing foundation.
Yay! I was waiting to see what you thought of this one. I got it in Oslo, too light, but Yukon is smidge too dark. I like it but it kind of performed exactly like the Sheer Glow when powdered. I guss it would fall on the ingredients and what one is looking for.

OH and guess what!? NARS has a light reflecting setting pressed powder that goes with this! I just got it yesterday at Sephora. $39. Still gotta try it but it gets excellent reviews 😊

@@goow I got the color Deauville and I like it a lot but the bottle seems small for the price, but it’s a good one for sure. I had to mix a serum with it bc my skin is so dry. Not sure about mixing it since it is water based??? Maybe I should dampen my skin before applying. It really is a beautiful foundation. Have a Happy Thanksgiving 💕
@@kimfromarkansas2084 I have the worst dry skin and the lady at Sephora suggested I put a drop of squalene oil in my brush or sponge right before I put on my foundation and man it is a game changer. I took back It better than skin, Dr Jart new stuff, and the Haus labs. She suggested I get the Nars and try this. So far im happy. It was all making my face look super dry before my work shift was over. Im sure you guys prob do this lil trick or know about it alrdy lol
I got this after watching your video & I LOVE IT! I ended up getting the 4.5 Vienna too & I was afraid it would be too light & too yellow. Even when I put it on I thought it may be too yellow but when I went into natural light to see how it really looked it was perfect! I wear 2C3 Fresco in the Estee Lauder Hydra Rescue for reference if anyone is reading this & trying to figure out shades. This foundation is excellent. It's got such a beautiful finish. I'm having some issues this week with dry patches & breakouts but this stuff jst glided right over it & didn't cling. Sephora had shade Vienna in stock as of a few days ago. I'm not one to run out & buy new foundations, I stick to my same old Estee Lauder but I'm so glad I found your video & got the foundation b/c it is absolutely gorgeous! Your eye look is especially beautiful today, Shelly! I love the foundation, too. I can't afford this one, but if you can think of an affordable dupe, I'd love to hear your opinion on that. I spend some time in front of the camera and do most of my reviews outside on the wraparound covered porch so I'm always looking for a great hydrating foundation for my 65 year old skin. Have you tried the Wet n Wild Tinted Hydrator? It's one of my all time favorites. I'm also a fan of the L'Oreal True Match Nude and the Age Perfect in the tube.
@@arslongis I have True Skin and I didn't find it as hydrating as I prefer, plus they don't have a great match for me, but I did find that if I put a drop of their Glow Serum into it and add a darker foundation, I can use it. Thanks for the suggestion!

I just found you channel trying to find someone with dry, mature and LIGHT skin. I hit 40 a couple of years ago and everything just flakes... I have high hopes for this one, but after having bought a couple of complete misses I hope I can get my hands on a tester for this. I also belong to the "ignore the red nose, I am just allergic" group.

@@goow I still use it I just mix a little of another brand to bring it one shade lighter. I absolutely love how Reboot looks & performs on my skin. The 225 is just a little too dark for me, but is the perfect color/tone. I wished they’d expand on their lighter shades. If I go lighter than the Y225, the other 2 are too pink for my skin tone. Reboot though looks so natural on me & I don’t even feel it on my skin. I’m wondering if the new Nars will work for me, since you love it so much. 💖

The NARS Light Reflecting and the Guerlain Terracotta are basically tied for my absolute number 1 spot (as of July 2024), and a bunch of others are nipping at their heels :) The MUFE Hydra Glow, Polite Society, Haus Labs to name a few other favorites!

Most of the schools stop at A now but saying something is A+ has always been a thing. I'll have to ask my mom if we had A+ grades when I was younger. I feel like we did and it was only later that A's stopped having a + option.
Please review the Maybelline green line tinted oil foundation (or whatever it’s called) I don’t know how I missed hearing about this until today , but checking out my Local drugstore today (I’m in Toronto 🇨🇦) and it jumped right out at me 😳 they also have a mascara I’m Curious about too. Have u tried either ? Both ? My current face makeup crush is the Missha BB cream 😍😍. This is quickly becoming my favorite. I've been traveling for 2 months straight now and this is the only foundation I brought with me.

I just found you channel trying to find someone with dry, mature and LIGHT skin. I hit 40 a couple of years ago and everything just flakes... I have high hopes for this one, but after having bought a couple of complete misses I hope I can get my hands on a tester for this. I also belong to the "ignore the red nose, I am just allergic" group.

@@goow I still use it I just mix a little of another brand to bring it one shade lighter. I absolutely love how Reboot looks & performs on my skin. The 225 is just a little too dark for me, but is the perfect color/tone. I wished they’d expand on their lighter shades. If I go lighter than the Y225, the other 2 are too pink for my skin tone. Reboot though looks so natural on me & I don’t even feel it on my skin. I’m wondering if the new Nars will work for me, since you love it so much. 💖

The NARS Light Reflecting and the Guerlain Terracotta are basically tied for my absolute number 1 spot (as of July 2024), and a bunch of others are nipping at their heels :) The MUFE Hydra Glow, Polite Society, Haus Labs to name a few other favorites!

I just bought this the other day when my shade came back in stock on Sephora. I’ve been watching to try the two Shiseido foundations and noticed they are owned by Shiseido on the bottom of the bottle. Looks like Nars is owned by shiseido

Most of the schools stop at A now but saying something is A+ has always been a thing. I'll have to ask my mom if we had A+ grades when I was younger. I feel like we did and it was only later that A's stopped having a + option.
