I’m part of the NARS All Stars program, and I got to test a full bottle of this for them about a year ago. My results were similar to yours-super amazing at first, but it doesn’t hold up over the day. Also, for me it seemed to irritate and burn my sensitive skin, especially around the mouth area. It’s a shame because I really love NARS as a brand overall. I prefer the sheer glow foundation.

Thanks for this review, I loved the Original Nars Sheer Matte and Radiant Longwear foundations, so I was wondering how this product would be. I have oily skin, so I think I won't have the problem you had about dry patches showing through. The look and longevity of this foundation looks really good, the fact that you wore a mask for a little while, and it didn't smudge the makeup or show on the face is incredible. I will definitely have to check this one out on my next big buy from Sephora.
I was like you at first when I initially tried it for the first time. I used only my moisturizer and then applied the foundation. I tend to have dry patches around my mouth area so I know what you experienced. The second time I wore it I made sure I was moisturized but I used a hydrating primer around mouth area along with a hydrating setting spray and it did amazing even with a mask. I absolutely love this foundation now! Loved your review and love you❤️

Have you tried the Shiseido lifting foundation? Trying to decide between that one and this Nars one.
@@julieme7927 yes I just recently purchased the radiant uplifting foundation and I really like that one as well! I had to shade match in store with the nars because feel they're either Yello or pink. They both give a similar feel on my skin. I think Slightly more coverage with the shiseido. You really can't go wrong with either choice! I'm so behind on my reviews because we are moving but I hope to post about all 3 asap!
Hey Patty, I watched Tara's latest vid and she mentioned the L'Oréal Serum Foundation. I know she prefers a good hydrating, glowy foundation, so I just had to buy it 😉

Thanks for your review, I’m combo to oily with mature skin. I think I’m probably going for shade Deauville, hard to say, I used to be in Gobi a few years ago but I got darker these last couple of years, so I hope that will match me and it will not settle in my lines

Patty do you have the chanel les beiges healthy glow hydration and longwear foundation? If not would you be willing to try it and review it? I tend to love the same foundations as you and im so interested in that one but none of my favorite youtubers seemed to have tried it that I've seen!

The best thing about this foundation is that it doesn't settle into lines. It smoothes out all imperfections on everyone I've seen it on at every age.

I got Vienna (had to order online) and its definitely got a yellow undertone, despite being described as cool. I'm really disappointed as I've got very pink skin. Making it work with a cool toned concealer, but still!

Hi Patty! I was just thinking on if I should try this out or not - but I myself have desert-dry skin, exacerbated by the freezing winter here in PIttsburgh! So I guess the CT beautiful skin would be better than this one?

Sadly I feel like Nars' neutral and warm undertones are super yellow and their cool undertones are more neutral which can make it confusing to match yourself. This seems like a beautiful foundation though! I'm torn between this and the Charlotte Tilbury one

We are foundation twins, & I don't know but I think you are a little on the cooler & pink side of neutral, then you think, if you remember the #14 L.Eldridge choice you made. That's pink for sure. Anyways Nars in generally runs a little bit on the warm side, they are definitely more yellow leaning, I have a problem getting a match there, Think i'm more pink than you even.
What shade
It has finally released in Sweden.I been looking at the chart of shade for 2-3 hours and online EVERYONE looks pink. Vienna is the only one that isn't pink. I'm getting so pissed f that don't find my shade. I don't want a pink foundation a want a neutral but the neutral is pink to. But I'm not cool and warm I'n neutral. So I go with Patty shade Vienna because I trust her more then Nars stupid chart and picture of the shades. Patty has never disappoint me and I trust her fully.
Nars luminous has Vit C so not first time they gave done this..
I struggle with foundation period!!! My pores are huge and I feel like all foundation I have sits in the pores and makes them stand out even more!! I'm hoping to find one that doesn't do this! Abd I have dry patches too that sometimes I don't even notice till i put foundation on!!
I have this problem too. It was ruining my make up and my enjoyment 😭 now I use the elf putty primer, a light layer - I really push it into the skin with my fingers. I leave it to set for a couple of mins, then I sometimes go in with a thin second layer on problem areas. Then I very lightly set the primer with powder - this is an absolutely crucial step, it’s a game changer. I then use a setting spray - just a light spritz. Then foundation.
It’s all made a huge difference for me. Honestly it’s been well worth the extra stages. (I also recommend the NYX pore filler stick, I find I need a few swipes tho and again , push it in the pores) I find that thicker foundations don’t gather in pores as much but using the above steps I can use runnier foundation too. I hope this helps ❤️
I wish NARS foundations agreed with my skin. If I wear one more than once I break out.
