So the battery replacement I bought keeps being on. How do I dismantle it to or fix it to switch on and off. Appreciate it if you can help.

I did this swap and the Dyson won't stay on. Fully charged Makita battery but for some reason it starts but won't stay on. Faulty adaptor maybe?

I just got one too. Dyson original battery is 21v.
So any power drill that's 18V I think it will do the same.
It's not enough power to run the vac on MAX mode.
And I figure at 18V it gives 90% of the original power, but you get longer runtime and easy swap..
My wife told me to put the original back in..

Any loss / gain in power? Similar?

Technically the Ryobi battery has lower voltage than the stock pack. 5 cell in parallel for the Ryobi pack and 6 cells in parallel for the Dyson. But if you use a 4ah or higher battery, you would probably get better performance due to lower voltage sag and internal resistances. But for someone replacing a dying stock battery, you will only notice an increase in performance when switching to the Ryobi batteries.

How much longer does the ryobi batter last for? And can I use max suction longer?

You will have to talk to CZcams about that one. They just made it so you are unable to have clickable links on shorts. 😔

And there goes the warranty! Aftermarket crap - y’all have been warned. And don’t take advice from an “expert” in a hoodie and a ball cap. CZcams seriously should make sure these “experts” have at least a GED. 😂🤣

The warranty is only for 2 years it’s not that serious 😂
