Well, for pretty basic trim, I can this not being so useful, but if you have say, some old, not sold, from the 30s or 40s trim, this would work quite well.

Well....of course you make it look easy! It did look pretty easy. It's a nice little compact size, perfect for a bedroom. Nice back up to the central system if it should go out, pretty good price. Being in Florida, the last thing you want during our hot humid summers, is for the AC to go out. I was surprised there's no bracket attached to the house to hold it up. I would want it secured a bit more, make it more difficult for anyone to get in. Also, more insulation over the side panels couldn't hurt.

I accidentally put the bottom panel on with the seam facing inwards/upwards, will it be okay like this?

I had the buzzing sound after button reset, and the Allen wrench fixed it along with a tiny bitt of vegetable oil. You saved the day, thank you this is very valuable to everyone in this bind. 😅

I ccan't get the filter back into the air conditioner. It stops halfway. I've tried bending it like you showed on video, but it still will not go in. What can I do? Idon't want to break it. Would it be oik to run it without a filter for a few days until I can take it bacik to LOwe's where I bought it?

I have the same air conditioner. I took it out because the air filter didn't want to go back in easily most times. Comes out perfectly but getting it back in was a pain. Okay I just reinstalled that AC after examining how the air filter goes back in. There are upper and lower tracks for the air filter. Problem solved...LOL Just have to use both hands to slightly bend it into the tracks and it goes it just fine.. BTW that is a GREAT AC and blows nice cold air. Thank you for posting this video. I was about to buy a new one.

Interesting, very nice introduction. Never thought about an air purifier but with pets and living in Florida, might be something to consider. I did a quick scroll, looking for reviews; seems there's 3 that keep coming up for comparison. Yours has the most user friendly controls compared to the others. I was surprised it's not that expensive and the 2 pack of filters, reasonable and last quite a while. TY Made me remember the review you did of a window AC unit and filters, about a year ago; going to rewatch them now. Considering for a backup plan, unless you have a recommendation, I have central now. Question - I know you're not an HVAC guy, to my knowledge, but would appreciate your opinion on central hvac units. I was recently told, I need to replace mine. It's 1989, working fine, knock on wood. Issue is, it uses R22 freon which is no longer available and Jan. 2025 the current freon 410 (can't remember the number) those units will no longer be manufactured. I currently have a split system, part in the low attic space and other part outside. I'm in Florida, AC IS a necessity. I'm considering a package unit, the entire unit outside. No one would have to crawl around in the attic for servicing; always makes me nervous they'll tear up my duct work. I've watched numerous AC videos but an honest option from a trusted friend is always better. Thank you.

I hadn't used my 36" griddle in a long time, and it was entirely covered with rust. I just did pretty much what you did. I started with 50 grit, then 80 grit, then 150 grit, and finished with 220 grit. Now it is pretty much down to bare metal, so I'm ready to re-season it. Thanks for showing us the step-by-step process!

Try dissolved baking soda instead. Mold and mildew hate alkaline enviroments. They like slight acidity.

Went away on a 3-week vacation and came back to my Insinkerator humming, with a burnt fish smell and a wee bit of smoke. Was about to head out to HomeDepot for a replacement, saw this wrench thing, and CZcams’d the wrench - found this video.
