    The reason is that BAJAJ auto has made the KTM a top player from there dwindling sales because of the smaller segment bikes made here in INDIA and purchased here. KTM duke and KTM RC comes in 125cc, 200cc and 390cc which is absolutely rocking in sales. BMW has partnered with TVS and made GS310 and 310RR here in India and also a BMW bike which is INDIA only called BMW G310RR which is basically TVS Apache 310. BAJAJ also handles Kawasaki sales and service here in India. Companies like Norton are bought by TVS and are reviving them. JLR is INDIAN owned. The reason i see is the company has to survive and has to make sales so they have to market there product where the population, there earnings and the management all are available in one single place I.E . INDIA. We have auto manufacturers with 100 years of heritage and they know how to make sales. Also, Harley is making 400CC bike here in India and soon will be revealed.

    Introducing a 400 cc parallel twin would have been innovative and a game changer for the legacy of Triumph, because a 400cc parallel twin would obviously be more smooth and less gas-guzzling than the 650 twins from the RE. But they've settled with single cylinder and now Triumph would have to compete with already existing single cylinder market leaders such as Royal Enfield and honda 350's.

    • @anuragkoch62
      @anuragkoch62 Před rokem +1

      Comparing RE's single cylinder 350s to Triumphs 400cc is a joke. RE's 350 engines are like overweight and yet malnourished horses. Whereas Triumph's engines are like agile and well bred horses.
      People who love motorcycles with good engine will surely buy this than REs single cylinder 350cc or 411cc engine bikes

    I must admit that the finished project looks gorgeous! the scrambler 400 is pretty Nice, but the Speed 400 needs the rear subframe to be a little bit lower because it's like a crossbreed between the Trident and Street Twin 900. and From the videos and photos they look to have a very premium feel. I think they are going to be on the expensive side.

      @@SrBiggus it depends, if for example, they will be 1000 more than the completion, to me it would be still worth it for the extra premium parts. the more I look at them the more a see quality parts very similar to my Street Twin 900.

    • @SrBiggus
      @SrBiggus Před rokem

      @ripmax333 i agree with you about the quality parts, but there is the trident 660 which is better looking imo, has a nicer engine, better spec and it can be restricted for a2 riders.
      And its not that expensive, like for me this would have to be less than the comp to be worth it. If you look at the bikes i mentioned you'll see they're quality too.
      If it was more expensive than the comp it'd be from 6k to 7k in which case why not wait a little and get the trident for 7-8k?

    I would think these new Triumphs will be competing against the 390 Duke/Adventure, and Honda CL 500/X. Definitely a great segment to be getting into. I'm an experienced rider and prefer small bikes with a good amount of punch. Singles give more punch than twins. Twins rev out more. I've owned MT03, Ninja 400, and Duke 390. Duke was the most exciting to ride because of it's initial pulling power, ie, torque.

    next years nk 450 from cfmoto could dethrone these very quick with that 27O degree twin making 50 hp, big tft and accommodating app with a 4 year warranty. triumph kinda dropped the ball here unless its significantly cheaper than its competitors.
    they've played it safe with these bikes and it shows. there are bikes with better specs, better warranty and (objectively) better looks.
    they could have made a small triple which would have been unique and would give people more reason to consider 1 or even a twin, instead they went with a single. which isn't inherently bad but there are better options( 1 being the trident), there is also the zx4rr, cf moto 450 sr and nk 450 which all have unique and exciting engines and much more when it comes to spec.

    RIP to all Indian Triumph bike owners. The after sales absolutely suck in India and with now the influx of these new bikes. I'm sure they won't be able to handle it

    Triumph have become a joke company. Subcontracting everything and slapping the triumph badge on very mediocre generic bikes and then the marketing department go into hyper drive to convince mugs to part with more money than the bikes are actually worth. Nick Bloor should be ashamed of what he has done to the Triumph brand. I would rather buy a bike from a honest company that designs and manufactures its own bikes.

      Just to let you know if you don't know already, when the manufacturing is handled by some other company there are set of quality standards set by the parent company and not like the producer just installs whatever they feel like so if the quality is not up to the mark, it's not the manufacturer's problem but the quality standard set by the parent company.

      Never had an issue with reliability of the 3 Bajaj pulsars i.e 150 classic, 150ug3 & p220 which I have personally owned and ridden in the last 20 years.
