I am interested to know your opinion on this as well. Can we foresee the next batch of motorcycle with this challenge resolved?
I absolutely agree with you 💯 persent about the analogue speedometer. They should have provided the digital speedo and analogue rpm meter, in fact that's the only thing that I truly didn't like about the speed 400. The meter console in general looks really appealing. A digital speedo to me is way more practical as it is more aesthetic and accurate.
Analogue speedometer is there because of classic look and appereance Triumph have analogue speedometer into there existing premium bikes as well And We love all it
No doubt the Triumph 400 twins are best in segment, my only concern is the aggressive pricing shouldn't affect like it has costed brand image of KTM (Thanks to C Riders Corporation..🙃☠️)
I dont think that will be the case. The 390 at launch was 2 Lakhs and most of the chapri riders werent buying the 390 but the 200 which was selling for like 1.5 lakhs. Today you see fewer duke 200 on the road since its more than 2 lakhs. This will be sub 2.7-2.8 onroad which puts it out of reach for a lot of ppl
The KTM brand only flourished post the Bajaj association. Also thanks to their motor racing department, that's killing all the Japanese and Europeans across all competitions. (MotoGP is due, but almost there.)

@Jehan how are you saying this speed 400 as a retro bike???? I had not expected such from you. Clearly its a neo retro by the looks. 1) Suspension is monoshock which is not a trait of a retro bike 2) The chassis(backpart) is so up like that of an R15 from the angle I have seen in this video. 3) Where is the grunt in the exhaust note its sounds so puny which is again not a trait of a retro bike. I could bring up air cooled and liquid cooled engine into this topic but that can be brushed away coz of heat produced and also Triumph does justice to the retro looks by showing details of air cooled fins on the engine.......... but the carburetor looks of the FI thats not there sadly in this speed 400.
I live over here in Scotland and im a proud Royal Enfield Classic 350 owner. I love my little slice of India. 😃 You live in such a vibrant, beautiful spirited country and only Royal Enfield can capture that indian essence and build it into a motorcycle. Great review !! Now i am very much inclined to buy this but I have just one question. Is this bike good for touring ?? Considering the factor like seating posture and all. Can this can be driven 100-200 km in one go ?

I DON'T NEED IT TO BE KTM BUT ATLEAST IT NEEDS TO BE LIKE MT. PLS LET ME KNOW IF I SHOULD BUY ONE.

What RE nails is that their engines have a character of their own. And coming to vibrations in the engines in general, the low frequency vibes just add to the character of the engine. That's what RE engines have right. But the high frequency buzz on KTM's is what makes them so irritating sometimes. Low frequency vibrations are good in some cases. At least in case of triumph as these 400's are roadster and scrambler not a street naked. Could you please confirm the type of vibrations on these baby triumphs? are they low frequency ones or the annoying high frequency ones as on KTM's just add to the character of the engine
