    Great vid, thanks. I was able to reach down and extract the pump without having to fully remove the grill and all - just pop the trim, remove the four 10mm bolts on top and just grab the pump and pull it out. The tubing and wires come out all together so you can work on it. Replacing it is just as easy. $11 pump on Amazon and 24 minutes effort vs. $603 quote at the dealer.

    Can you reach the pump by removing the wheel well cover

  • @10324800

    Thanks to A1-Parts i knew what to expect; however,
    I have a 2012 RAM 2500 bighorn
    The pump is the same, the tank is behind the wheel cover.
    I was able to access it without removing the wheel-well liner(easier if you do)
    Be sure to install the rubber Gromit first!

      Same thing, barely sprays fluid

      I have a 2014 Sport 1500, same issue. I though it didn’t have any fluid but when I checked it was full. Motor sounds like it’s working but it only squirts for a second and then the pressure hoes down to the point of nothing coming out

      Where’s what I found, the plastic connectors to the hood sprayers had broken off. Open your hood and disconnect the fluid hose to your hood and see if you have pressure, I did have a lot of pressure. Then I connected the hose back up and sprayed the fluid, the fluid came out from the insulation. I took off the insulation and broke about almost all the push in plastic buttons, I found the plastic connectors were broken on the spray nozzles. I ended up paying $30 at O’Reillys, Amazon had them for $18, which included the push in plastic retaining buttons.

    Was looking for pump strainer location

    • @jimc4731
      @jimc4731 Před rokem

      The pump strainer is inserted in the reservoir outlet hole and the pump plugs into it.
      Remove it and clean with a toothbrush and running water, then blow out with low air pressure.

    Informative video, but not 100% accurate. I have 2014 RAM 1500 Ecodiesel. Not all 09-18 Ram 1500's are the same. As previously mentioned by 10324800, the 1500 Ecodiesel's windshield washer reservoir/pump assembly is behind wheel well skirt and adjacent to the fuse box in the engine compartment, not behind the grill. You may want to update your video to include this information.

      Thanks. I was wondering about that myself. I have a '16 Ecodiesel and mine looks nothing like this under the hood.
