Hi Steve. I’m a windshield installer. The reason your cowl trim and top windshield trim don’t fit is because the windshield was set in too deep. Meaning they skimped on the thickness of the urethane sealant. The higher the glass sits away from the body, the tighter the trim will fit and a smooth transition as the wipers go to the park position. Hope that helps

Wife unit looks like she knows her stuff. Nice to see that. That turbo bracket should have been made longer. Way to much work on valve cover to make it work. Never seen a hydraulic lifter cam run good on a BBC because of the angle on the pushrods to lifter which cause the lifter to pump up. Which makes the engine miss at times around 4,500 rpm. Happen to me everytime I went into 2 gear on a 400 trans. It seems if you make more than 40 pounds of oil pressure it happens. Stay below 40 pounds it does not do it. I had a 60 to 70 pound Moroso stock volume pump. Tried everything to get that miss out. Finally put a solid lifter cam in it and it ran great. If I new this I would have just put solid lifters on the hydraulic cam which a few friends did after I had the fix. They had the same problem so they cheated and just put solid lifter in it cause it was way easyer then switching cams over. Hope you don't have this problem. If you do that is the problem. Any BBC performance engine came from the factory in a car with solid lifer cam and a 60 to 70 pound pump.
Low performance cars came with a hydraulic lifter cam and a oil pump with 40 pound pump. They were good to 5,000 rpm a 7,000 rpm or 6,500 which would go way past that use the solid lifer cam and 60 to 70 pound pump. I would just double nut the rocker arm and once the cam broke in never had to adjust the lifter again.

Tri-City Dragway in Saginaw had a world class facility at the time. We had a partnership and shared driving responsibilities. A friends wife Donna Clark drove our car in powder puff every and won every week. We set over 12 National records in the 7 years we raced but never won a National event. Wonder what it would have been like if we were smart enough to put her in the car!

If you end up painting the bumpers, have them blend the fenders into the doors. Maybe it looks worse on camera then in person idk?
If you spray the door on the car (vertical) and spray the fender on a stand (horizontal) or vice versa, they will not match. The metallics “flow” with gravity.

    Pardon me for nit-picking.
There is no such thing as a Cowl Hood.
Your hood has a rearward facing air inlet over the Cowl of the car body (where the wipers are). That is a high pressure area found to excellent for air intake. (NASCAR-Smokey Yunick, etc)
Hence a (cowl induction) hood. Frequently miss labeled as a cowl hood

They sell a filler piece for the passenger side wiper cowl, where your heater box is missing, tidys up that area and deflects water, i would put the G body F41 Braces on the front frame. Man, EFI is a hassle, i could start a new carbed BBC in 10 seconds!, Love the Color! what Hydro Lifters? i got the Comp Short Travels in my 540, i have about 10k miles on them no issues!

Such an awesome build. Just everything about it is perfect.. Barring the stickers and bluing on the tires. Question though.. how much will those Mickeys swell on burn outs? No worries of rubbing the inner walls thru? Love how Mrs Morris shut Steve down with the "I was faster than you for the longest time" I think she will be one to watch out for. Would love to see my two favorite channels head to head at Sick Week with you and the boys from Street Racing Channel. Wonder if you will end up in the same class any where in the competition. At least be cool to at the very least see a shits n giggles run between this and Billys new 55 or the Falcon with the new motor.

Steve make a straight bar out of roll bar tubing and come off the back hoop and connect the parachute bracket to it that way she's already used to it being there remember safety first the car looks great good luck with the rest of the build
