A Summers Day Kayaking Lake Jacomo / Blue Springs / Missouri

A perfect summers day. Partly cloudy skies, temperatures in the low 80's, very low humidity and a good breeze. Time to go to the lake. Having this new 360 camera, I am always looking for any opportunities to use it. Its my new toy, lol. I am still getting use to using my new camera and I realize I need to pay more attention to the stitch line involving 360 cameras. There will be a noticeable thumb screw partly obscuring the view.
This video highlights the kind of craft you will find on the lake. It is motor restricted to 25 horsepower only so you will see a lot of pontoon boats and sailboats. At the beginning we start in 'Sailboat Cove' and I kayak down to the south Marina where there are more sailboats docked. As the video is ending, I come across a sailboat race in action. I have plans in a week or two to cover a whole race event using the new 360 camera. I was excited to get a quick sample of video to see what it will look like. I also came across a large doe deer and her fawn on the bank of the lake. Being silent in a kayak close to shore, you get to see a lot of animals that call this place home. It was a special moment and I was happy to capture it with the 360 camera. Any other 'normal' lens camera would not have captured the whole event/encounter and I wouldn't have been able to share that with you. Just another reason why I am so excited to have this camera.

8:18 ...as I paddle silently along the shoreline, my gaze captures a doe (deer) with her fawn in the underbrush grazing on the fresh wild grass and flowers. I try to hold still as the doe stares right at me trying to anticipate what I might do next. I very stealthily point my kayak away from the two deer and paddle very slowly away from them towards deeper water. Once the doe realizes I am not a threat, she relaxes and continues her grazing. The fawn now gallops down closer to the bank into thicker grass.

Hope you're enjoying the new 360 view to the videos. I have found that ol spark of creativity that I was starting to miss in the summer months. I'll be ordering my new drone in 3 weeks. Very excited to do some more drone videos soon 😉👍
