  • The Battle Ryloth was one of the first major battles we saw in the Star Wars Clone Wars Cartoon. It was great start to a great series... but there was a lot of things that kind of didn't make any sense.

      That part honestly screws over the entire franchise. Like why build a Death Star when you can ram a ship at Hyperspace to a planet and If not destroy It,destroy majority of It's surface? And also why don't they just make Hyperspace missiles? Just a slap together an engine,a hyperdrive and maybe a droid brain and boom! You got Hyperspace missiles.

    "Ashoka leads her squadron into a trap, and when her master and admiral Wullf Yularen order her to leave, she disobeys orders and gets most of her squadron killed, and leaves the Republic capital ships unprotected. The Republic suffers heavy casualties and withdraws from the field of battle. At this point Ashoka should have been arrested, court marshaled, and sent back to middle school."
    Middle school sounds like an appropriate punishment for leading a squad to their deaths.

    Good thing they atleast cover how Military leaders hated that the Jedi were given high ranking military position with no actual military experience and training. Due to this many military leaders did not have any issue with Order 66 as the Jedi's lack of military skills cost the Republic a lot in both resources and lives that could have been prevented if actual military experienced people were in charge.

      To be perfectly honest, Clone Wars era tactics are some kind of bastardize combination of Renaissance era tercio block formations for the droid infantry, WW1 style mass vehicular walls to soak up fire on both sides, and Napoleonic light cav tactics for fast walkers/speeders, Clones fight like WW1 infantry with trenches and cover suddenly being thrown out at random for a mass charge, and air power is also WW1 esque: considered n afterthought. Why did the Republic only have 1 squadron of fighters? The Venator cruiser was supposed to have loads of fighters, that is what everybody talks about when comparing it to the ISDs. Later they have loads of fighters, during the fancy maneuver, what where they doing with them? Afternoon tea? Court ordered anger management? I swear the early seasons were very inconsistent with how much equipment the Republic had and what it could do.

    Oh and on the subject of child soldiers. In the imperium of man children from hellhole planets like death worlds and the lower rungs of hive cities are taken (at around 10-12 years old) and for years are surgically operated upon, their memories pretty much erased through hypnosis and other indoctrination techniques. At one point the child is skinned alive to have a black carapus put all over his body then stitched up and the skin put back on, do keep in mind half of all of this is done without anesthetic and is done over a course of YEARS...many of course die during the process but hay details.
    After that said children (that are also sterile at this point) become huge human wrecking balls that violently murder anyone they are told to in the name of the emperor and will most likely...actually they will certainly die on the field of battle "Only in Death Does My Duty End".

Though it was never explicitly stated that they were the genetic fathers, it would seem odd for them to bother with adopting children with the extremely limited schedule they have when they are not on campaigns. Plus, we have seen examples of Loyalist Marines being attracted to regular females so it does show they have some semblance of a sex drive so they could get it on. But as stated before they have so little time and are so devoted to the Emperor most don't bother so its hard to tell.

    Most of these can be explained primarily due to the fact jedi were never trained as military commanders. They were trusted enough because of their fighting skills(but not strategic), their good reputations and their use of the force. They were confident because they mainly rely on the force for almost everything.

    The answer to your Hyperspace Kamikaze question is shields. The Death Star was the size of a small moon and possessed shields that would make such an attack impossible. My proof comes from Rogue One when Vader's Flagship comes out of hyperspace and smashes apart several Rebel ships who didn't have shields. According to Newton, such an explosive collision should have done equal damage to the Destroyer, but the shielding shrugged off the damage entirely.

      No, it wouldn't (and I'm a Guard Player). Everybody and everything is far too bogged down in conflict with one another to put out enough to actually annihilate the Star Wars universe, let alone conquer it.
      Want proof? Read up the Damocles Gulf Crusade. The Tau are a fraction the size of the Empire.

    • @christiandauz3742
      @christiandauz3742 Před 6 lety

      The Tau don't suffer from PIS though and have much better technology and understanding of war than the Empire
      Plus, they use their FTL in an intelligent manner
      Fire Warriors have better armor and weapons than Guardsmen and Stormtroopers (Star Wars)
      The Tau Navy does have some advantages over Imperium Ships
      It only takes a small force (like the one used in the Sabbat Worlds Crusade) to destroy Star Wars Legends
      If the Imperium, Necrons and Eldar DO NOT destroy Star Wars in time Chaos would corrupt it
      Which would mean the end of 40k

    Ahsoka did have some experience which was why she was given command of a fighter group. The Jedi Order were essentially the Spartan Monks of their Galaxy. child soldiers are viewed differently in martial societies than our own, which the Jedi Order was at least partially martial. And Ahsoka was trusted by Anakin which was why they succeeded. She was only promoted by the necessity of the situation and the dire circumstances. In World War II, most smaller court martials didn't result in arrests due to the great need for every soldier. Only larger crimes resulted in military arrests. Ahsoka turned her ship on its side to prevent vital portions of the ship from taking fire. She could also boost the shields of that portion of the ship taking energy away for the shields for the other portion of the ship and the weapons you mentioned they weren't going to be using anyway. The Separatists attacked and grouped together because they dumb. They were droids and that was the expected course of action from them. Mace Windu probably didn't use the drop ships to drop the tanks closer to the capital because the CIS still had air superiority until Anakin finally finished off all the bombers.

    dude, I love the series but you need to do some deeper study into how tech works in star wars. the reason they don't come out of hyperspace on top of an enemy is because its bloody hard to do, even thrawn needed to use gravity well generators that were more advanced then what they currently have. where are the dropships.. didn't you point out the cis had air superiority and that the republic had lost many fighters and ships in orbit? the slavery thing is interesting and I think the jedi didn't understand it because they themselves were slaves of a kind, both were deeply dedicated to duty and raised that way since birth/very young.

Going by Wookieepedia, each Venator-class could carry a complement of almost 200 interceptors, 200 V-wings, and 36 ARC-170’s. Yet, Ahsoka’s flight group of twelve, I think, was supposed to be enough to knock out an enemy command ship while also protecting three Venators in case of fighter attack?

  • @kitsychan

    why isn't the Venator bombarding the tank position. well thats easy, because they can't hit something that small from range. we have NEVER ONCE seen even a star destroyer able to accurately hit something from orbit. At best it can blanket an area but even then. Rebels have a planetary shield covering a square km of a planet... and the Imperials couldn't even land shots in the same ZIP CODE... they were hitting the shield yes, but they were also landing shots miles away. remember, these are not high tech computer controlled guns that can hit 1 building without damaging anything around it. These are optically sited, manualy aimed slower then light magnetically accelerated plasma shots that drift, are affected by gravity and other factors. heck a force senstive can simply grab and hold the plasma mid air stopping the blast. this means had they tried to fire... they would likely have wiped out their own tanks... come on, these are ww2 battleships not star trek ships.... eish.

    • @josephjurado3123
      @josephjurado3123 Před 6 lety +2

      Then if not the ships in orbit, the bombers or even fighters remain a supporting option which could have completely pinned down those tanks if not destroy them. Still, that whole manoeuvre of moving troops through a vulnerable position was skewed in the first place. They never should have pressed forward without at least some air superiority of some kind.
