Imagine being a clone, training your entire life, graduating, and being sent out on your first mission, just for your gunship to explode before it even gets to land.
Happens all the time in the real world too, its one of the real tragedies of war that a person can spend so much time preparing for the fight just to never get there an die in transit.
It's why the pilots and drivers deserve more credit as a successful trip is equal parts skill and luck, and lacking in either leads to disaster. The pressure those pilots and drivers are under to not only protect their own life but those who are under their care must be immense.
@@zeratul____1228remember D Day and all the landings of the Pacific theatre
It was a very interesting tactic when Ahsoka used the belly of the Venator as a shield while getting a drop on the Separatist ships
The Marg Sable works pretty well to cover the Ventator's weak points, though it renders the ship offensively impotent and a large target.
Crazy and smart all at once
pretty sure it was a Thrawn tactic in the Heir to the Empire trilogy first, but oh well, that's just legends now
@@KyloStimpyfiloni said that he got the idea from heir to the empire
@@timscott5782 right, but now it's canon that Ahsoka came up with it 🙄
I love how you phrased TA-175's report to Count Dooku as him reporting that Wat Tambor "was a dumbass". A very accurate telling of what happened.
Somehow I pictured Red from That 70s Show as TA-175. 😀
TA-175: "Tambor didn't make it out."
Dooku: "And why not?"
TA-175: "Because he's a dumbass."
Now I can’t unhear
“Start my shit. That Tambor is a dumbass.”
A greedy one on top of that
"This is blockade runner 0 Niner Niner, we have broken through. The supplies have arrived at the drop point"
They really named a character I'ma Gundi and then had him die
this is what star wars needs right now. retelling all of the great star wars stories we had before the dark time before Disney.
I love the battle of Ryoth one of the famous battles in the clone wars the fighting the music was epic
I always thought Mar Tuuk showed up in another fleet way later in the Clone Wars but as a cameo I'm pretty sure
I think he showed up in the pantoran daughter hostage arc. But I can't remember if it takes place before ryloth or after. But I'm pretty sure he was one of the kidnappers or the same voice actor possibly.
The Battle of Ryloth is my favorite story Arc in the Clone Wars series. And I loved how Mace Windu was dubbed "The Hammer of Ryloth."
Rest in Peace to Captain Keeli and Jedi General 'Di.
*Personal Fun Fact:* This was the first ever Clone Wars Episode I had ever seen, and it greatly influenced me as a kid. It instantly captivated my young mind, and seeing the brutal battle there and the clones with their Jedi leader having their last stand in such a manner was certainly awe-inspiring.
The Senate is EVEN more clutch.
*Dooku after getting briefed by TA-175 of Wat Tambor and Mar Tuuk's fate*
"Fool and a Tuuk!" read in Gandalf's voice.
well done 👍
"that Tambor is a fool. Start my Shit!" 😂😂
Or Filoni forgot about Took(sp?) Like he did a lot of other characters. Like he has in everything he's done.
Tactical Droid: Fawk this shiite I’m out!
Nice video once again. Could we see some of the Separatists' victories in future videos ?
Yes that sounds great!
Rylok: Finally, some flipping liberty.
Republic: Liberty to be under New Management, you mean?
Rylok: Wha? Under who?
Empire: He was talking about me!
Rylon: Wha! But you are the same!
Empire and Republic: *Correct* .
Without war crimes where would the republic be? Without Ryloth I’ll tell you that much.
(in Hondo Ohnaka voice)
I smell war crimes. Unethical dishonorable yet profitable war crimes
Honestly the Space battle over Ryloth was a disappointment. Strategically, the Republic as a whole failed by deploying such a limited force to liberate such a key world. Operationally, the Council failed by assigning Anakin and his highly Inexperienced Padawan to Spearhead the operation. And then tactically Anakin failed by putting too much faith in his Padawan, costing lives and ships that he couldn't afford to lose.
Biggest plot twist ever: Jedi Master Ima-Gun Di was killed
(yes, it's pronounced I'mma Gon' Die)
Isnt it "gun-dee"?
star wars taught me that
war crimes are the solution to everything
this is what always gets overlooked in star wars, the space batles, in my opinion, there just isn't enough focus on space
I mean to be fair there isn't actually much in space it's just a black void with hyperspace and battles I can't really think or anything else notable
Since you asked where this Navel Battle ranks in the Clone Wars, I'll go the extra mile:
1.) Battle of Kkamino, season 3
2.) Battle of Saleucami, season 2
3.) Citadel Navel Battle, season 3
4.) Navel Battle between Grievous and Obi-Wan's fleets, season 5
5.) Battle of Umbara, season 4
6.) Battle of Ryloth, season 1
7.) Battle of Christoses, season 2.
8.) Battle of Teth, movie
That thumbnail go crazy RIP keeli
For the twileks!
What is your fav arc in The Clone Wars? mine is the Umbara one because it felt like Vietnam except that the VCs had t-90 and the US had 70s tech
Am still weirded out on how this Ryloth iteration doesn't have solar flares and equatorial safe zones. Dangerous it may be, the Legends iteration seems so full of life and resolve to me.
Nice episode, good work.
I doubt the Hutts were uninvolved. I also doubt that this battle would have been so small if not for resource limitations on production of the show. I suppose it made its point anyway.
Oh yeah, you know the Hutts had some... investments in that spice-mining facility the Empire built on Ryloth during the occupation. You know, the one where they used slaver- 'cough', "unskiled labor" via native Twi'leks.
Clutch indeed
At the start I thought for a second the music was niamos
Why does the background music sound like the music that plays when you load onto vrchat?
What's the name of the background music?
Love the vids keep'em coming
Rest in peace Captain Keeli
🤔 . . . I honestly believe that there is far more in regards to the Battle(s) for Ryloth, even outside of the Ryloth System itself…
For someone who is the Foreman of the Techno Union, Wat Tambor is so hopelessly dumb.
This is Canon for me!
👍
mhhhm, spice planet
what's the background music you use?
Jedi seem to default to war crimes alot given the opportunity
My question is wat tambor was captured by mace but he is not a prisoner in later episodes is there an off the screen explanation why?
i believe it is the Firefly effect... episodes are out of order
@@KyloStimpy no because when they rescued echo with the bad batch the clones were in phase 2 armor when he is captured the clones are in phase 1 clone armor. All I can think is because he is a corporate executive he got released back to his home world by the senate instead of facing trials for war crimes
@@Idkidkidk716episodes in the earlier seasons are out of order for example, the first episode of season 1 takes place before the episode where Jar Jar and Bale Organa negotiate with the toidarians for relief supplies. But later episodes aren't

landed in the butt
"Somehow the Republic won."
I like to think that Keeli and some of his men were later saved by Cham Syndula after the supplies were dropped, and these clones after being treated for their wounds would live with the Twileks and possibly later join captain Howser.
I mean, we clearly saw Keeli get killed, but it's possible a FEW of his guys in the 303rd survived. There's actually a fanfic about how Howser was a part of the 303rd, and he was the sole survivor of 1st Ryloth.
Does anyone know what is considered a war crime in the Star Wars universe and what isn't?
Can't speak for canon but as for Legends using nukes like the Mandalorians did during the Mandalorians Wars.
Warcrimes, the thing we hear the most about these days.
Warcrime clutch
I am kinda disappointed, that faking surrender was never brought up.
The point, that Anakin commited several warcrimes is smth. i wish the had brouht up later...
Ryloth was fantastic because it ULTIMATELY led up to Ashoka!
is it a war crime though or are you putting your morality where it does not apply?
I say this because war crimes in star wars are almost not a thing, so is it really bad or just he did a not nice however read it closely because in any war the rule is it is fair to kick the other guy in the balls or other soft spot as star trek 6 taught us not ever body keeps in the same place
