Officers smuggling drugs into prisons , officers getting only 10 months prison sentences for illegal gun crimes , dozens of officers suspended for selling personal data. Where are these so called good police that won't/don't arrest a fellow officer when they're breaking the law, when an officer is illegally detaining or arresting a member of public why doesn't the good officer point out the illegal actions instead of just being quiet an complicit.
@@moomoocowsly 'Training' ?...6 months...then they are let lose on the streets with Authority they never dreamed of... compared to 2 Years for a Hairdresser and 4 Years for a Tradesman to qualify.
@@moomoocowsly you would hope so but no. According to in depth studies the professions which attract the highest percentages of psychopaths in their ranks are CEOs, Surgeons, the clergy and the police.

I do understand what your trying to say but if "good officers" don't prevent the bad ones doing what they're doing are they really good officers. Why can't a "good" officer verbally condemn the bad ones , they won't comment through fear that their opinion will push them out the clique. There maybe decent people but that doesn't mean once they put the uniform on that they're good police officers who will defend themselves first over the people their paid to protect.
It has been my experience as a journalist that Manchester police are on the surface relatively friendly and accommodating. Police Scotland, The Met and City of London on the other hand, atrocious in their dealing with the public and press.

A Police Uniform is no guarantee that the person wearing it is any more Honourable, Trustworthy, Moral or Law Abiding than anyone else.
