  • Originating in the 1960s as a street hawker at Hokkien Street, the 60-year-old stall offers authentic Hokkien-style Bak Kut Teh. Helmed by the 2nd generation owner, 73-year-old Mr Toh keeps close to the recipe passed down to him. The stall was made a Michelin Bib Gourmand winner for 4 years from 2016 to 2019.
Its Bak Kut Teh is characterised by a dark, rich soup packed with mild herbal flavour. Other than pork ribs, the stall also offers a host of braised pig trotters, pig’s tail, offal, side dishes as well as steamed fish.

Hope you enjoy. There are 2 main types, the hokkien and the Teochew. This is the hokkien style which is in darker soya sauce color.

The fish go hand in hand with the BKT. Old school styled never go wrong. Healthy and filling.

The old school style hokkien BKT is getting lessor. This is the best to me.
