- Recently I went to the state of California to visit Los Angeles to look for the under belly of the city and I found it when I found drug infested - Figueroa Street, exploring Hollywood and Long Beach of America where I engaged in interviews with both prostitutes and pimps. His father is just a gardener while his mother is a daycare teacher... After their last fight, the boy overpowered his father and the father resorted to giving him silent treatment rather kicking his son out... After the boy finished high school, he got admitted into the university to study Economics and he was also awarded with a bursary because he performed very well, but a year later he neglected his studies and left varsity.
His father cried when he heard that his son didn't want to go back to varsity, but he still didn't kick him out, he decided to punish him by cutting any financial assistance he used to give him, only buying him essential stuff... It was only his mother who would give him little cash every now and then, sometimes the boy would even ask me for financial assistance, he wanted to learn an online skill, but his laptop and phone were broken and his father refused to buy him new ones... I told him that I couldn't assist him without his father's permission because he wouldn't like it if he found out.
The father told him that the only way he can assist him financially is if he goes back to university, even if it meant him choosing another course to study... The boy was reluctant at first, but he eventually gave in and he's now doing his third year studying law law, so far he's doing great.
He's where he is today because his parents, especially his father didn't give up on him and throw him out to the wolves despite his disrespectful and rebellious behavior...
