Its moments like these that this still makes sense because the community testing initiative is, in fact, a multiverse of apertures, cave or glados is probably driving that truck.
Totally agree, Valve handing the game over the community under the guise of opening it up to the multiverse was such a clever idea, theres more content than ever for it now.
and yeah i believe Trucker Cave is from multiverse 89661Bn
Thank you for watching!
this chamber is very creative! I've never seen anything like this before. 🍍
i like how neuroma is telling people to slow down and slowly getting angrier throughout the chamber.
Yeah this was a really cool unique idea, i haven't seen another map do this moving environment trick before either, looks really good.
Thank you for watching and those other drivers were real jerks weren't they! :D
This is a combination of creative & wierd and im all here for it.
Same! i love anything weird and unique like this one, so cool to see what the portal community can come up with.
Thank you for watching!
honestly i feel like canonically an entire branch of science studied by aperture would absolutely be 'mobile science', like how test subjects handle doing tests in a fast moving vehicle or something of the sort
That does seem like something Aperture would do, study the effects of added motion sickness combined with quantum tunneling :)
Thank you for watching
Where the cube falls 3 times in this pit: You could have place a null portal under the cube an than place it above. Then you are already there to catch it.
Nice puzzle overall and cool juggle trick at the end ^^
lol that would of been a lot better wouldn't it, i always seem to miss the obvious simple things like that :D
Thank you for watching!
the way you yelled slow down at the blue car was great
4:33 the purple car CLEARLY cut that guy off. what an ass
The left lane on the highway is supposed to be the passing lane where you go faster, so the red car staying in that lane and not passing is terrible
map is unrealistic because theres no douchebag in a tesla or mustang flipping everyone off (except you can't see it because the windows are tinted to look like a black hole)
4:33 didn't even spot that. Total ass.
red was just too fascinated by the live science show on the highway :)
a bendy flipping us off as they passed would of been a hilarious little addition.
As always, thank you for watching and sorry about the late replies, i'm trying to catch up again today
The axles and the shrinking cube demonstrate the same property of this map. The road around the truck as well as the animated cars and background stuff (Jersey walls, buildings, bridge, etc.) are all within the external skybox and being rendered through a skybox texture. As such, when the cube hits the skybox texture it is much further away than you think it is so it gets very small very quickly relative to everything around you. The axles are also part of the skybox so the perspective on them gets screwed up because sky boxes have a really strange perspective thing going on. The skybox is meant to give the illusion of distance. Thus, it tends to distort things that are close to make them look closer to the player.
I would love to see you explore the map with NoClip and no gravity.
You are right about the perspective tricks, that's why i added that little note suggesting people should check this one out with noclip, the way it was put together was very clever and cool to see how it works outside of the players normal view. interestingly i couldn't quite see how the axles were done in the skybox, but it's possible i didn't fly around enough to find where they were being rendered, there was, for some reason a seemingly unused laser emitter way out in the source void too :D
Thank you for watching!
What a weirdly wonderful map. Glad you mentioned noclip, it's kind of mind bending seeing how it is put together and gave me inception vibes. There is another slightly different solution which doesn't involve the cube bobbing (hint: you have to carry one of the cubes through a portal yourself) but yours is definitely valid.
Hi sorry for the late reply and yeah, really glad you checked it out with no clip, i've never seen a moving sky box done before and it was really cool to see how it actually worked, very clever hammer work.
I think i get what you mean about the other solution, cool to learn there's more than one way to do this one.
Thank you for watching and for commenting too!
One easy way to give yourself a headache is to try to imagine how aerial cube maneuvers done inside the test environment would look like from the POV of the passengers of the green cars. (shudders due to JEE Adv. trauma)
Truly a unique test!
if i was in the car following, i would be both intrigued, terrified, and wondering how i'd explain to my insurance company that my windshield was destroyed by either a companion cube or the body of a test subject that i just was fall and bounce of the road :D
Thank you for watching!
> gas, grass and ass
Such clear quality audio recording on highway full of vehicles. You really do have rich youtuber mic.
What an amazingly creative idea!
Thank you, i got a wireless lapel mic just for this chamber, i didn't want to give it away in video but the reason the red car wouldn't pass is because i got my mum to follow with my pc in the back seat to record this :D
For a while i was wondering about the scale and then I remembered that you're a bendy and entire communities of some of them can live in a drawer.
that's true bendys can fit almost anywhere, and yeah the scale on this map design is crazy as soon as you noclip off of the truck.
if you want too, i definitely recommend checking this one out with noclip, how it's all put together is really impressive.
Thank you for watching and for commenting too :)
Thank you for giving us links to all of your levels that you play
Hey sorry for the very late reply, and you're very welcome, definitely worth checking out the map makers workshop too if if you like a specific map :D
Thanks for watching!
That is odd but so unique & nice i never saw a highway in Portal games.
Hey sorry for the late reply and yeah i've never seen a moving sky box before either, very cool to see. work so well.
Thank you for watching!
@ngeruma - this is not a "flatbed" :) this is the Rubber Duck's MACK truck, model RS700L from the 1978 movie Convoy - with Kris Kristofferson
i honestly love that there's some one who can comment EXACTLY what make and model that truck is lol
Thanks for watching!
played this map on stream one time, it was truly an experience :D
Hi sorry for the late reply and yeah same here, never seen a moving sky box before, very cool!
Thanks for watching!
a traveling aperture test chamber is a cool concept
yeah it definitely makes for a unique test environment, and science has to get places somehow :)
Thank you for watching
14:29 - Actually, if the truck is moving at an exactly constant speed along an exactly straight road, and the wind was being sufficiently blocked (unlikely but, let's say), then you'd all be in an inertial reference frame and physics would be working just fine so the speed of the truck is not necessarily an illusion. This is why you can drink tea comfortably on an airplane moving 600 miles per hour.
You're right, that all makes just enough sense to me to justify being able to preform such important scientific experimentation on the back of a moving flat bed :D
Thank you for watching and sorry for the very late reply!
i honestly have no clue what to feel about this map, its VERY creative, and also kinda strange, but pretty cool
yeah i agree, it's definitely a weird one, but i do love anything weird in this game, i totally recommend checking this one out with noclip to see how it's put together :)
As always, thank you for watching!
What a ride!
Definitely one of the more "unique" testing environments so far :D
Thanks for watching!
The innermost lane is in fact the fast lane.
ah fair enough, those other drivers still seemed like jerks though :)
Thank you for watching
Why isn’t Aperture using lava instead of deadly voids? It would make the piping hot science magmatic hot!
There should definitely be some maps made with actual lava instead of goo or voids, especially for those really deep underground themed maps.
Thanks for watching
A fresh air chamber XD
there was a pretty intense smell of diesel to be honest.
Thank you for watching :D
What a friggin' awesome idea for a chamber! So creative. And it even had a pretty good puzzle to go with it, which makes it even cooler.
Slow the F**K down!
gotta' love weird portal :D, and yeah very nice to see a good puzzle in something so unique too!
As always, thanks dude
Inconceivable!
no, i can imagine Aperture actually doing this to be honest. :D
Aperture Science Mobile Testing Inititive
"Science, on the go"
wish i'd thought of that line while recording lol
Thanks for watching!
That would be a great idea to see Grady in a custom map In portal 2, But there's one problem, I don't know if people can make a model of him or could find a way to get him out of Aberdeen desk job to portal 2, there is a mode where he does replace Wheatley, quick question, Why do you keep calling Chell fat? is it a joke? Also why do you hate Wheatley? If it's because he betrayed you, he didn't mean to first off, Second the chassis was making him corrupted, that's why glados was corrupted, also when I get my own CZcams channel, maybe someday you and I can do a collab, I hope I said that word right, anyways you have a lovely day, :3
P.s have you ever played your funny, and ps: m is my favourite game out all the portal mods
>Aberdeen Desk Job
lmao
Hi sorry for the very late reply.
i love that autocorrect probably changed Aperture to Aberdeen! lol
The Portal modding community is awesome and very clever, i wouldn't be surprised if someone was working on getting full Grady into community maps.
Very basically, i always mock Chell's weight because GLaDOS does, it's so little and petty that it always made me laugh.
I hate Wheatley because i can really, there's no real reason behind it i guess, the betrayal does have some influence i guess and people say we sound a like which doesn't help ;)
Sure we can probably work out something one day when you're set up, i am working on a special way of doing portal2 coop videos but that's a really long way off yet.
Again sorry for the very late reply and thank you for watching and commenting too!
I don't see the axles moving, I just see a weird forced perspective effect.
i really got the impression the wheels where sliding along the flatbed as the player moved along it, i couldn't see how that part was done while noclipping though, so you're probably right
I could not get this one so thank you
Glad the video was of use, i think if i hadn't spotted the portal magnet/funnelling thing under the tubes i wouldn't of thought about the juggling cube thing :)
Thank you for watching
haha he thinks that his wallet is in his test suit but i got it before he could hehe
ah that's where it went, oh well i already paid the driver using the other methods :)
Thank you for watching

@@ngeruma
wait... OH CRAP HE FOUND ME (RUNS AND BUSTS DOWN THE FRONT DOOR AND RUNS TO APATURE SCIENCE INNITIATIVE) (YES IM A MASSIVE PORTAL FAN AND SO WHAT)
I played this years and years ago and could not beat it, so... congrats?
Also, it's not a "void in time and space" I think it's a bugged goo/acid pit
yeah your right it was supposed to be a deadly goo pit but the texture wasn't playing along for whatever reason, but to be fair, i wouldn't put it past Aperture to transport a void in space and time on the back of a flatbed truck :)
Thank you for watching!
@@ngeruma you know what, that's actually a good point lol. Maybe that's how they got the test chambers from Michigan to Ohio
Reminds me of Tower of Incoming Danger
i just looked that up, and yeah i can see what you mean, we need more maps like this in all games with community content :)
Thanks for watching!
I submitted a map but how do I know it actually submitted because I don't see it in the maps list
remind me what the name of the map was and i can check, it's possible i missed it somehow or something went wrong.
Thanks for watching too :)
long live glados and morganfreeman core and rick/adventure core and chell go to hell wheatly
agreed, and thank you for adding go to hell wheatley lol :D
You do sound so familiar…
not sure why, generic british accent probably :D
Thanks for watching
moving portals 2
who needs console commands when you can just throw them on the back of a moving truck, same difference :D
Thanks for watching!
Is there any Slyceth map that isn't weird in some way?
i believe this is the first map by Slyceth i have played, so if they have more weird ones like this i will definitely check them out, love anything weird in this game :D
Thanks for watching dude
Funky!
Thank you for watching!
Trucks? In portal 2? Don't you mean bridge constructor portal?
i wonder if bridge constructor was an influence for this map design, i'm guessing the truck model is probably out of L4D maybe?
Thank you for watching :)
@@ngeruma probably and no problem lol
I had a idea to do this but I guess I wont do it cause plagarism
There's no reason you couldn't still do it and put your own take on the whole thing :D
@@ngeruma I'll make sure I'll shove a bmw m3 gtr in a map like one of those
I forgor how many ngeruma points I have
i'm sorry to report that the 1993 dell server that was keeping track of everyones ngeruma points was involved in a severe fire, a fire it may or may not have been responsible for starting.
As always, thank you for watching!
This Video Was Rated 2 Out Of 10, ngeruma, You Have To Watch Your Language You Know That?
hey look it's not my fault those guys where driving so badly, someone had to say something!
Thanks for watching!
