- I'll be back next week with a real vid, just wasn't feeling up to scripting the last few days.
Figured if I couldn't get a video up I might as well give you some end credits and amuse myself at the same time.
Just so you know what's coming, I still have two more vids from Guatemala, six or more from the Azores, four or so from Jordan/Za'atari and I'm just about to head off to Peru to film a full season. I missed this week due to personal stuff but there's plenty on the way.
Honestly I just did this because I thought it was funny. Back soon.
It was 👍
It is funny 😂
I wanna play in that snow...
Yeah it was pretty funny
My dream is to be your back up when you want to take a week off.
Finally, a CZcamsr who understands their audience.
Oh hey, I used to have that dragon for my profile picture.
@@timothymclean Good taste :)
I've seen a couple of people using it over the years.
And an audience who understand their CZcamsr. :)
It's not a Rare Earth ending without making me question humanity and have an existential crisis afterwards.
😆
So this works for you then?
Truly this was Rare Earth.
I always pause for way too long to read the end screen. I appreciate this "episode"
High-quality as usual, so well researched and yet another fascinating story on the human experience, thank you Mr. Hadfield :)
Amazing that he can still keep up the high standart of production after all these years.
Indeed. Hit it right out of the park!
Thoroughly impressed by the ability to still coherently deliver a few lines while sitting in snow! Clearly you're Canadian through and through! 😁
I'm Canadian and Norwegian on my dad's side, and even _I_ don't understand how he did that
Have to admit that from the description I assumed the entire video would be 23 seconds start to finish, with 1 second of (something) then 22 seconds of credits. I had to do the math to figure out that it’s a 45 second video with 23 seconds of credits, though I understand Evan’s point of view for calling it 22 and 23.
Same lol
And how long did it take you to figure all this out? 😄
Very insightful, I've never thought about it that way.
A masterpiece of cinematography and storytelling as usual. Beautifully done, Evan.
I'll be honest, this feels right at home in this channel, and I mean it in the best way possible
And I still pause on the credits to make sure I have time to properly appreciate them.
Stunning credits! 10/10 will watch again
Well I did😁👍🏻
Absolutely fantastic. It's always good to see the natural side of a presenter. Thank you for your stories of the parts of the world that I don't normally get a chance to see. I do hope you enjoy your break.
I literally couldn't click this video fast enough.
Of all the deep and spectacular videos you've made, this one brought tears to my eye. Absolutely incredible!
😆
Dude I was checking for new content from rare Earth every third week or so even after you had stopped posting for a year. I enjoy your writing and delivery.
I'm watching these for you, the storytelling, and the insight into the greater world.
I expected some elaborate joke, but no the video is exactly what is on the tin.
Your credits were always strikingly unique
thanks man
Quality over quantity I say! And this video had top notch quality. Loved the snow crunch, perfect credits as always! Looking forward to the next credits
By all accounts, a masterpiece!
Thank you the end part is the only reason I watch your videos
Thanks for answering this question of mine, i have always thought about how much energy going into these videos, thanks man;)
Walking in snow barefoot is truly rare earth
I won't say this is the best video you've ever made because we both know I'd be lying. But it is easily the one that's made me grin the most without making me cry at all (and, lemme tell you, THAT'S rare earth). Thanks!! :D
i appreciate the little bit of poetry in the end card, please stay warm : )
Solid piece of writing there Evan. Concise and to the point. Production values were of course top shelf as well. Keep it up, we'll be waiting.
I miss Rare Earth videos, thanks for the announcement.
I love your narrative and the content.
I'm Mexican and I've learned so much from Mexico and other Latinamerican countries thanks to you.
I just come from a video of a channel that celebrates its 10Million subscribers milestone immediately to this ... AND DAMN am I happy to finally hit a good video. Thanks Mr Hadfield.
I do watch this channel because of you dud and the unique way you present and develop a video. I love it
Gymkata was featured on RLM's Best of the Worst 10-ish years ago so you know it's good.
10/10, would subscribe and support again.
Great video, Evan. I do watch for you, honestly. I am a simple man, who loves to see beauty in all things.
Of course we watch it for you! We love you Evan!
"Whoa, this is Rare... frickin' temperatures"
I don't know about your Gymkata or whateverthething, but THIS ending is pure poetry!
Best video hands down, most compelling storyline rare eath has ever presented.
Masterpiece
An unskippable 15-second ad too.
This is pure ❤
I mean, this is the first time we are seeing snow in one of your videos, good job keeping the environment fresh in every video.
I'm just imagining how confused you would be if this somehow beat out your "Japan's untouchables" video for most views on something you've ever made.
That could happen, the CZcams algorithm is quite inscrutable. My husband has dozens of videos that he has put hours and hours of work into, yet it was a 10 minute, zero effort vlog of me clearing out a beaver dam just before Christmas that got more than 10 times the views of anything else.
@@jpe1 Where can I check out your husband's channel? :)
@@jpe1 Seconding the previous comment - where does one watch this? How do you clean out a beaver dam? So many questions & excited to learn!
@@eminatorstudios his channel is at czcams.com/channels/N2JSRANTKo2StxlenM8_6g.html (hopefully I did that link correctly) and the beaver dam removal video is at czcams.com/video/z1C9tZUownM/video.html
Thanks for your interest 😀
@@azuradawn5683 I might have used not the best word, when I said “clearing out.” I was removing it, the dam was raising the water level in the lake, which was causing big problems with erosion, and left unchecked would have killed many hundreds of trees around the perimeter of the lake. The video is at czcams.com/video/z1C9tZUownM/video.html
He knows what the people want, and it is giving it to em, what a hero, what a champion.
Glad to see you taking time off, kicking back, and enjoying the Canadian summer!

Crediting the cardboard box for the camera work was a nice touch.
On this video, more than ever before, I truly believe the first line of the last paragraph of the credits
You are truly a man of tremendous insight
this is perfection
That it too funny. Thanks, I needed that. Looks like you got some snow too. :D
Evan, You adorable dork, I am so excited that you are back. All through these past two years I worried that like many, you would succumb to the pandemic’s devastating effect upon individuals like yourself. People who create for the sake of creating. Yes, the money is good and needed, but it is the creating of your work that is what brings you such joy, a joy we all get to share in. I have enjoyed your videos for quite some time, so this long dry period, It’s been so very hard. And scary, for I feared we might lose you. Yes it was most likely harder for you. And I understand that.
But I do have to say that my favorite video of all time is the summer of Larry. It had all the positive aspects of all your videos, and your unique talents, done with great love and care, kindness, and empathy. Truthfully, of all the things that I watch on CZcams I have to say that you are by far the only videographer, or CZcams poster whose work completely engages me, that brings me in and I become absorbed. It’s like the slow savoring, the ecstatic joy of a fine meal, for you are truly a gifted storyteller.
This is the REAL content I subscribed for
Thank you Evan, very cool!
Grateful for you, Evan. Your videos mean the world (pun both not intended and so very intended) and I hope that despite the relentlessness of the ever churning Al Gore Rhythm, you get the much needed break you deserve.
Heheh lets go ❤️ and thank youuu this is exactly what we wanted 😋💗
I don't know who you are or why this showed up in my feed, but I'm glad it did and hope you have a nice day
A masterpiece like every other video
11/10 quality content
This gave me goosebumps
This was glorious
Loved it! Great story Evan!
I never thought I'd hear a Gymkata reference while sober.
have to re watch this for my moment of zen
Hilarious, but I honestly watch the videos for the story. The credits are just icing, though very good icing indeed.
Pure Gold Jerry.
I absolutely love this lmaooo
just what I needed
now THISSSSSS is what i’ve been waiting for
Big ‘23 Seconds of Silence’ energy
Shorts in snow. Ah yes, the mark of a true Canadian.
Absolutely hilarious. And as someone said (I'm writing on my phone, so I can't see who), someone who knows his audience🤣🤣🤣. This made my day a little brighter.
Best video yet
get this man to 1M asap
This is great.
One gets so much more from the whole experience on the 2nd viewing.
It's what I needed!
phenomenal
My Show! I've missed you bro!
One place I'm glad you went that I didn't have to - snow.
Best video so far!
10/10 the content I'm here for.
Had to rewatch it a couple of times just to take in all the details
I’m watching these for you!
this is a high quality meme
I've seen Gymkata. I agree, it is a gem.
That looks like a nice Wisconsin summer.
Brilliant!
I'm only here to see a man in his shorts and a t-shirt freezing while trying to make a short line on his chair on the snowed balcony
Art.
A man of culture indeed :D
I laughed. lol.
Imagine making someone laugh in 23 seconds
How did you know these were my favorite parts! Wizardry
😂😂😂 Love it!
Fantastic content, only disappointment was not hearing "This is rare earth" before the fade to credits
Time to break out the shovel, Sir.
I'm not shoveling the deck that's where I keep my snow pile
@@RareEarthSeries Then it's time to build an Igloo, I suppose.
This IS Rare Earth
thi is incredible
[WILD & UNRULY CHEERING, PUNCTUATED BY HOLLERING]
Delightful
This was 3 seconds longer than the ad that popped up before it. LOL.
That's the real shock, winter in Central America and winter in Canada.
Nice one mate👍
