Back then in late 1980s man utd were total rubbish, and was just a cup team, and it was a fa cup match at highbury, and in front of the north bank, brain maclair got a penalty and missed it, in front of the north bank at highbury.

A couple of years later, playing at old trafford, brain maclair laid into winterburn who was on the ground, as arsenal were 1-0 at old trafford, and it started a massive brawl.

Alex ferguson back in 1990 could of been sacked as man utd manager, as he spent fortunes, and man utd were still rubbish, and could not do anything. They were spending enormous amounts, compared to everyone else. Arsenal spent virtually nothing back then.

Even though i stopped watching arsenal in 2002
Arsenal in years i watched them won 4 leagues, and two of those leagues, we won the league with matches against you guessed it, man utd. ie 1990/1991 and 2001/2002 we won the leagues with games against man utd

Arsenal did not see man utd back then as competition, man utd only started being good in 1992-1993 season, when man utd bored everyone to death to struggle to there first league under fergie, after millions and millions spent on his team.
I stopped watching arsenal in 2002, and all you people take todays football and project backwards, when man utd in most years before 1992 were total rubbish in peoples lifes
