For anyone that wants to try it: the reason the ball may go in more is because many people are lazy when they shoot and don't put correct energy in. This forces the energy and focus, which will help most people when they shoot and make you more confident, but if you already shoot fine, this most likely won't do anything for you.

This is a really great way to have consistent shooting! One thing I do want to say is it is true that it doesn’t matter really what position or posture you are in as long as in every shot you take throughout your lifetime, the way you shoot should always stay the same. Practice and repetition in one motion instead of changing your shot all the time will end in great results! Hopefully this helps 😊🤗😁❤❤

@Just Some Sleepy Dude On A Couch Wearing A Hoodie it's more lockin your thumb around the ball naturally your hand will be raised and only your finger tips touch the ball and the only way to do that is to get your elbow underneath the ball to be able to grip it, and since the goal is to grip the ball it'll naturally keep the ball in place and ideally in a straight line which is key for being on target when shooting. Locking the thumb
Will promote consistency and arc and follow through when shot correctly. The goal really is to get the ball to roll off your index or middle or ..both finger pad, this creates good backspin, which is key from consistency and funneling the ball down into the hoop and creates a soft touch.

I wouldn't say you didn't need anything else cause i had to get used ti the flow, i have horrible muscle memory so old, and I also got my arms to where it almost felt like I wasnt moving them much but they kinda flowed into the jump, and I let them go up high. I gotta work on my shot again though cause I haven't practiced it in a while. This helps because you dont go over the ball, nor under. You have a good grip and your elbow automatically raises simultaneously as you shoot and a lot of other things come naturally. So you go through the ball and have a good path for the ball, the only thing you need now is ballance and a natural posture to stabilise your shot and make it go straight and a feel for the ball not to overshoot it

The point is to get the ball directly in the center of the hoop, that optimizes the area the ball has to land , and focusing on placing the ball right above the 3 hooks that holds the net up is a great place to target. It's really about mastering the perfect arc , which is either near 45 or 55 degrees depending on the height of the rim.I do agree that the grip technique actually makes a difference though, it keeps your hands in place and allows you to follow through the same way each shot and making it easier for the ball to roll off of the index and middle finger pads creating backspin, which is a HUGE part of consistency definitely should practice that way, because this trick is useful but it's MUST be practiced can't skip hard work, but this is definitely smart work , which should also be practiced. This video is informative and misleading all in one imo 😂but good nonetheless I'd say it does definitely give you a good foundation or if you have all the correct attributes in your shot and lack consistency with hand placement and follow through this does help, I literally used it in a game and went from about 30 % to 50%. Ironically, he says you don't need proper footing, balance but you do and that's what he's doing but you actually do to get this to work consistently, again it really does change things though lol

My shooting is terrible, and earlier today towards the end of my training session I was trying different things to improve my technique and when I started gripping the ball tight I started hitting multiple shots in a row from mid to long range, and without proper technique. This thing actually works. What a coincidence that I got this in my recommended page rn...

It takes some getting used to, you definetely will miss sometimes, but after you do it a while you make your shots 95 oercent of the time. Great video fam

Also, use the backboard, it’s safer that way. Aiming at a backboard which you can see increase accuracy because when you aim for the hoop, you can’t really aim as well.

It's true. I always squeeze the rock before I shoot. Shot stays on point. It gives you control and then the body's innate instincts handles the rest.

This vid was 🔥 You should do a video where you have different food like watermelon and pizza, then you give it the 3 point test, layup, and dribbling test to find the very best food to play basketball with. I feel like you would make this vid idea hilarious. Keep up the grind!
