My family is Syrian and Lebanese. We grew up eating all these wonderful dishes at our family gatherings and after church at Grandpa's house. Thank you so much for your videos! My sister recently gifted me with your cookbook. I can't wait to make some of your recipes and dig in!!!!
I made this in my air fryer today! I had low expectations as this is the first lebanese dish I have ever made and I had no idea how it would turn out in the air fryer, but it was amazing! Will be making it again for sure!
I have found my favorite food! We tried a Lebanese restaurant a few weeks ago and I loved everything I had. So I came home, looked. up some recipes and made lamb kafta. WOW! I made the Lebanese rice as well and a large salad. I could eat this food everyday. I am Italian and I love the Mediterranean flavor. My Lebanese cookbook came today. Can't wait to dig into that and make my own spice blends. Thank you for sharing these great tastes! Nice video. Nothing complicated here!
Made this tonight- came out soooo good. Next time I would probably cut the cinnamon a tad bit. I made this stove top… I can only imagine how good it wud have been if I grilled it on charcoal. Keeping this recipe
I love when the ingredients is posted with the recipe, it easy to make it. I have all the ingredients and will make it for dinner. At the end of the video I miss you saying "it's so good"
Wow, just made these for dinner - so easy and yet so flavourful! Congrats on the recipe - they were equally or even more delicious than the ones purchased at our local Lebanese supermarket (Marché Adonis, Montreal, QC, Canada 🇨🇦) 👍🏻
I bought the Adonis pre-made kafta too and shaped them into oblongs; I found the meat texture too hard. I will be making my own from now on with the minced meat of my preference (Laval 😎)
My attention was drawn to your post. ❗ ‼ Thank you for taking the time to share and provide your expertise and experience from this collection of useful hints.❗ It was well worth watching, and in the end, it gave me a sense of preparedness and compelled me to try it.❗ I wish you all the best from a thousand miles away.❗
Thank you so much Lebanese cuisine is very rich with big variety of foods love ❤️ Lebanese food and Lebanese people r gourges 👍you make things very easy love you chanel 😘 god bless ♥️♥️🇱🇧♥️
I use both ground lamb along with ground beef when I make Kafta. I also use red onion that adds a bit more flavor than white or yellow onion. Thank you for this video.
Thank you for explaining what it is.. There's a restaurant up near me that serves them in a platter and I wanted to try something different so I order a kafta platter, Although I didn't know what it was.. So you showing and telling me, Helps more then yea wanna know.. , I'm in Cornwall, Ontario, Canada.. waves
L 503 ,,Good morning from Alberta - Canada Excellent recipe with all ingredients...I am a man who loves to cook. Have a nice day......................Tom
Grew up eating Turkish food close to Lebanese food and pretty sure that's Turkish pilau / turkish rice but usually the vermicelli or orzo pasta is cooked with butter and olive oil
Is the 7 spice you refer to like chinese 5 spice + 2 more ingredients? Thanks I enjoyed the video and it never occurred to me to mix vermicelli and rice . I'm interested enough to give this a whirl!
I am so happy to find a Lebanese cook. My mother Is Lebanese and Sundays were Tabouleh, Hashweh, and Kibbeh and sfeehas and of course stuffed grape leaves( the only American named food). I plan share your shawarma idea with the family. Did I miss your Kousa recipe as I want to expand my Sunday menu?
I’m actually Syrian! My biggest regret after leaving Syria to come to the US was: not learning how to make Mediterranean food. I’m very thankful for your channel. I’ve recently made that feta dish for my American friends and they loved it!!
Hope you are able to continue learning more about how to make delicious Mediterranean food that reminds you of home from my channel! I'm so glad to hear that!!
Hi, thanks for sharing your recipe. Quick question, the seven spice has several of the spices in your recipe already in it, such as cumin, cinnimon, and coriander. Are we adding those in addition to the seven spice or in lieu of the seven spice? Thx in advance, I can't wait to try this!
Thank you! 7 Spice is used in many Middle Eastern recipes for more authentic flavoring. If you can’t find 7 Spice, substitute All Spice. You can also make 7 Spice at home following my recipe: feelgoodfoodie.net/recipe/how-to-make-7-spice/
This is the only low fat Kofta recipe that I have seen. Every other recipe that I have seen calls for higher fat levels or even adds additional fat in the form of gee.
I bought it online, but you can make it yourself at home! My version is made with allspice, black pepper, cinnamon, ground cloves, coriander, cumin, and nutmeg. Here is the recipe: feelgoodfoodie.net/recipe/how-to-make-7-spice/
because seven-spice already contains cumin. in my family we only put seven-spice and lots of pepper in kafta. what she did is added several spices that already exist in seven-spice.

@saramolet3614 how is that disrespectful?
@@saramolet3614 I don't understand your response. What I said was complimentary.

Grating the onion is also a great method and also dispersed it more evenly as well helping firm the kebab
That's so good to know!

I just add some summak. And let's see how it's tastes... as I keep it for some time before fry
Summak!!!!!
Soooooo good!! ❤
Made them absolutely delicious but I’d like the ingredients amounts
Looks so delicious!
Lebanese Kafta is the original one. All others are imitations. LOL
Made these a couple of times now...delicious. What sauce would go with these. Tahini?
Hello, thank you so much for sharing this video. Do you use full fat ground beef or lean? What percentage? Thank you
Butter in our rice is a Must.

Stuffed grape leaves are called "dolma".
@ Jordan Babcock
Dolma in Greek not Lebanese.
This looks amazing ! I love your cooking ! If I put it in the oven how long should I do this for ?
awesome recipe thanks. Your processor is what brand please??? keep up the great work!!!
So if I’m using kaftah spice how much do I use
Great with yoghurt sauce

i am having trouble with my rice and pilaf turning out gummy and sticky! would love any advice!!

In addition to the 7 spices. we love our food to be very well seasoned! 😊
@@myblackandwhitelife Thx. I assumed correctly then. Very tasty recipe. Thanks again.
Your food processor looks a bit different from the one in the amazon link. Is yours a cuisinart?
Yummy
Mhmm! 😋
They look the same comming out as goin in thats what kafta translate to
😍😍
yummy 😋
Can you make pork Kafta? I would your version of it❤❤❤
I don't think so because there are a lot of Muslims in Lebanon
What ratio of ground is best? 80/20?

Is 7 spice same as Harissa and Zatar?
I so enjoy Lebanese food! And I'm not Lebanese!
هلا حبيبي 🥰
You added 7 spices plus cumin, cinamon and coriander (which are included in 7 spices) why?
can you do babaganush
Where do u get ur seven spice? What’s the brand?
I bought it online, but you can make it yourself at home! My version is made with allspice, black pepper, cinnamon, ground cloves, coriander, cumin, and nutmeg. Here is the recipe: feelgoodfoodie.net/recipe/how-to-make-7-spice/
So the rice/vermicelli aren't seasoned?
In the Lebanese Rice recipe that I serve with this Beef Kafta, the vermicelli is toasted to give a nutty flavor!
@@Feelgoodfoodie thanks!
She added salt I think ...
We don’t put cumin for Kafka I think

You are Lebanese..؟ me too
💛
Thank you, but not everyone has the 7 spices you mentioned. That is the " secrete "
Thanks Ottomans 🇹🇷😁
اسمها كوفتا و كافتا
No chicken broth or saffron butter and no pita bread no tahini no toume sauce
The name is a Turkish name and it is Kofta, not Kafta
