Passing tests of all armies in the world qualifies you to attempt the ultimate blue shorts test, that requires you to perform infinite amount of push ups, pull ups and sit ups in less than 30 minutes. Passing the test earns you ethernal glory and 2 pairs of blue shorts.

Really, women should be required to do More pushups, not less. A soldier needs to carry his/her equipment and be able to carry a wounded soldier. If you can do 20 pushups as an 85kilo male, if you're female 60kg you better be able to do like 40 pushups at least... to be able to be in the same range. Excellent video.
I'm an Army national guardsman Certified in the army combat fitness test. The 2mile max time is 13:30. It was changed from 12:45 to 13:30
Thats the easiest part.
The Indian test you mentioned is for civilians who are applying to the army. for soldiers , the actual test is called he BPET , which is a 5 km run with a combat load and rifle under 28 mins ,15 foot rope climb and then 9ft jump across a ditch. For combat roles , the standards and test are higher and also more specific to their roles. The standards also vary with age .
Nice to see that, you guys should do a part 2 video, including Brazil also !
It would be interesting to know what each country's special forces requirements are; I imagine those tests are pretty brutal.
Spesnaz : do all the exercises in this video in less time than the video duration.
With one leg.
I believe it's less of a test and more of a tryout
They are most like this:
More than 50 push ups
More than 10 pull ups
More than 50 sit ups
300m sprint in less than 50s
Be able to swim with gear
3000km under 14min
I guess... this ain't any specific test, I am saying what this is all about!
Ok, if you're still interested, I'm sharing with FSB spetsnaz requirements.
1. Pull-ups: 25 reps.
2. Push-ups: 90
reps.
3. Sit-ups: 100 reps.
4. 100 m. sprint: under 12,7 sec.
5. Bench press (that equals your own weight or more, but not higher than 100 kg): 10 reps.
6. 3 km cross running: under 11 min.
7. Close quarter combat ("free-form" fighting, grapples and armlocks allowed): 3 fights for 3 min. each.
8.Scissor jumps: 90 times.
You have to do these one after another right away, without rest.

Great video. I agree that the US test seems to be the best overall. A few words regarding the Bundeswehr test. It is indeed not all that great when compared to the others, but this is the very basic entrance test for civilians who want to join and then go through basic training. The Bundeswehr is looking for new personal and they lowered the standards for the entrance test a few years ago and even accept slightly overweight people. Once you finished basic training and then apply to join a special unit like the commando frogmen, mountain troops, paratroopers or even the KSK, there are new tests that are extremely hard and usually have a failure quota of around 70 - 80 percent. I was surprised the Russian test was the only one including swimming.

The Test is
1.run 3200 Meters 12min
2.pull ups 17 reps
3.shuttle run
4.swims 50 meters
5.sit ups 50 reps
If i do like that, my score will be above of standard

Great video! Just what I want to try!
Canada has a FORCE test which I'd say you need to be in decent shape for although I feel they could benefit from more of a pure endurance test as well. I found the sandbag drag to be the hardest but that was likely due to the ground being so coarse which made the weight seem quite a bit heavier. Most people find the sandbag lift to be the most challenging.
1. Sandbag Lift
30 consecutive lifts of a 20 kg sandbag from the floor above a height of 1.0 m.
The member alternates between left and right sandbags separated by 1.25 m.
To be completed in 3 minutes and 30 seconds.
2. Intermittent Loaded Shuttles
10 consecutive shuttles (1 shuttle = 20 m there, 20 m back), alternating between
loaded shuttles with a 20 kg sandbag and unloaded shuttles, totaling 400 m.
To be completed in 5 minutes and 21 seconds.
3. Sandbag Drag
Carry one 20 kg sandbag and pull a minimum of four on the floor over 20 m
without stopping. Number of sandbags being dragged depends on the type of floor.
4. 20 metre Rushes
Starting from the prone position, complete two shuttle sprints (1 shuttle = 20 m there,
20 m back) dropping to the prone position every 10 m for a total of 80 m.
To be completed in 51 seconds or less.

As someone who is joining the Australian Defence Force. The PFA or Pre-Entry Fitness Assessment is NOT the standard fitness test in the army, the PFA is what someone should achieve as a minimum to be considered for a job offer for the army before enlistment. The performance on the PFA (from my knowledge) is competitive based, meaning if you get the minimum score you most likely won't get an offer if you're enlisting for a competitive job role. The BFA (Basic Fitness Assessment) which isn't even the toughest test is as followed for men under 25.
Minimum push ups: 40
Minimum sit-ups: 70
Minimum time for 2.4km run: 11:18 minutes
The PESA is even tougher and everyone has to achieve this, but if you're infantry then you'll have to do more lol.
run 5km with a 23kg load (50 lbs) in under 50-55 minutes.
run 6m in full gear 12 times in 5 seconds starting at a prone.
Carry 2 x 22kg (48 lbs) jerry cans 25m 6 times.
Lift a 25kg box from the ground to a 1.5 m high platform.

I’m only a minute in and there are a few things you have gotten wrong already. The standard for sit-ups on the old APFT has your hands behind your head. The new ACFT uses a hex-bar for the deadlift not a straight bar. The leg tuck is the fifth event on the AFCT not the first.
He mentioned trap bar deadlift, and had a picture of a trap bar. But he used a straightbar for demonstration purposes, probably because they didn't have a trap bar at the location they were filming?

Cubing CubeZ I don’t think that scoliosis has an effect on ab symmetry
@@maxkernfeld7928 Bro it has .
You should check how to fix uneven abs on CZcams.
And the difference in left and right side of abdomen muscles leads to two things
1- brain muscle connection (more to one side)
2- Scoliosis
I have Scoliosis .
They suggest to fix that first but i dont have much money to fix.
Also even if i do my build and strength will gone.
So i keep asking CZcamsrs for help
Cubing CubeZ well, you can’t „fix“ uneven abs due to genetics but the first thing that came up when googled: www.healthline.com/health/uneven-abs#treatment
It also mentions that Scoliosis make it appear uneven.
Still even when you „heal“ your scoliosis it doesn’t mean that you get even/ symmetrical abs. It helps a little for the appearance but if you have uneven abs genetically there’s not really much that you can do about it.
Otherwise you would see that every bodybuilder would have symmetrical abs which is not the case.

@Thomas Cusack it's a bit more challenging after all that
In my country you must drink at least 2 wine bottles and 3 beer jars and then stand on one foot with eyes closed and pee as far as possible up to 5 meters. To qualify you need to pee up to 2 meters, and if you pee over 5 meters you become the army chief
For Indian Army
There are two groups one who complete 1.6km in 5min 20 sec ( Excellent category, have more chance of getting recruited ) the one who complete in 5:45 ( Good category, very less chance of recruitment ).
But due to high population and high unemployment for vacancy of 50-100 soldiers in every recruitment rally ( which is held for almost a week ) almost 5-10k boys show up every day to participate. They give less than 5:05 sec time for first group and 5:10-15 for second group. It's one tough nut to crack, running between 400-500 boys in a ground and waiting in line from 2 am midnight so you can get a chance to run in first batch otherwise you will have to wait till 2 PM for just running test.
I went for recruitment rally just once although I could run 1.6km in 5min 30 sec at home ground. I could not even complete the whole distance in the test as I was running at 11 am after being awake whole night so I could run in the first batch.
AWESOME VIDEO
If the sit-up is an ineffective exercise, why do so many military fitness tests include it?
I was wondering this myself.
When they say "ineffective exercise" it's usually in comparison to other methods of ab and core training. As a test of physical fitness, I think it's a good measurment, because it combines proper breathing(doesn't matter how lean and well cut or strong your muscles are if you don't breathe properly) and after a certain number of repetition turns into a pain endurance excersie.
That's my educated guess, not official or surely correct information.
P.S. - Also, everyone knows what a sit-up is and how to do one. In my country it was even part of our P.E. exams in primary school and high-school, so it being universally known could also factor in.
Krakolio because many tests haven't been updated in awhile and fitness science is way better now than it was a few decades ago when they decided to include sit ups
ineffective doesn't mean it is not a good test of muscular endurance - there are better exercises to build strength, stamina, etc - but the sit-up requires no additional items to conduct and it is a carry-over from years ago when it was a basic strength exercise.
that is why so many contries have changed it to crunches these days
Would be better to have compared each countries military combat readiness tests, rather than some of them being pre entry tests. The Australian combat test or even their employment standards test are much harder than their pre enlistment test.
Some Additional Notes on the Army Fitness Test in the US. The events are coordinated such that you should only get 3-4 minutes of rest time between events. It becomes an entirely different ballgame when you cannot fully recover between events, meaning you need to be smart about how you approach it. This is partially why the 2 mile run time is more lenient.
Also, because the AFT uses the same scale for all age groups and genders, the minimum is pretty low. However, from what I've heard, its much harder to max. And units, particularly line units like infantry or cavalry will require higher standards for their soldiers. While Army wide requirement for the old APFT was 60, those units had a 70 score minimum standard. I see no reason why they wouldn't do the same for the new test.
Great video very interessing t hank alex
I'm curious about the Canadian Army's fitness requirements. I also agree the American's fitness test has more components in it than the other countries 👍
I was in the Cdn Mil. ...basic training requirements included a 1.5 mile run in under 11 min. and 25 push-ups in a row. ...not too difficult (1976) . When I went to my specific trade though (PPCLI...Infantry) The training was INTENSE I remember several times being woken up earlier than usual and having to do a 5 mile run, all day marches and doing hundreds of push-ups during a workout session..I picked up some habits that I still use today...
