  • Is the popularity of the new 2023 Honda CR-V starting to get on your nerves? Do you question why everyone likes this compact crossover? Is there something about the CR-V that does not quite work for you? The 2023 CR-V is one of the most popular vehicles in the car market. There are many reasons to admire the Honda, and there might be a few items that send you toward a different SUV.
Hey guys! Welcome back to the channel! We compile the latest tech and automobile news! Our videos are guaranteed to keep you coming back for more amazing content! Be sure to subscribe to the channel, and the notification bell, so you are always up to date with the latest videos.
In this video, we will be talking about why some consumers don't like the 2023 Honda CR-V! So clearly, you do not want to miss out on this, so, without further ado, let's start with today's video.
Initially introduced back in 1997 and still evolving steadily, releasing yearly models even up to New Years in 2022, Honda has continued to improve upon its original design and working of a compact SUV.
This new SUV class has stayed true to its original formula while bringing about improvements, doubling down on its handling, interior space, transmission, and reliability. But, not every generation of the Honda CRV has been widely regarded.
Though it likely will not turn any heads, this ideal small family vehicle has a long list of redeeming qualities. It is hard to go a day without spotting a Honda CR-V in a parking lot or on the road, so it's no surprise that the compact SUV is Honda's runaway best-seller. The Honda CR-V's competitors include compact SUVs like the Chevrolet Equinox, Nissan Rogue and Toyota RAV4.
The SUV operates the majority of the time as a series hybrid. One is a 181 horsepower generator or starter motor, and the other a propulsion motor. The propulsion motor drives the CR-V's wheels while the engine generates electricity for the traction battery as well as the propulsion motor. The CR-V's system can switch to parallel hybrid operation when it needs more power.
If you want your Honda CR-V to handle some towing duties, you will be better off looking at the Toyota RAV4, which has a 3,500 pound tow rating, or the Jeep Cherokee with its 4,500 pound tow rating.
The maximum towing of the new Honda CR-V is 1,500 pounds. That is hardly enough to take a trailer of camping gear with you. But remember, you have to add the trailer's weight to the mix, which might mean you are pulling an empty trailer with the Honda.
Either way, the Honda CR-V could be uncomfortable for people who happen to be sensitive to the slightest changes in temperature.
The all new Honda CR-V will have a more straightforward interior that aligns with the brand's new philosophy, "Simplicity and something." Consumers say that Honda should use a slimmer dashboard and clean up the CR-V's center console by relocating the infotainment system screen as well as reducing the number of physical controls there.
The 2023 CR-V will probably feature a new touchscreen infotainment system with deeper integration of Google services. In September 2021, Honda announced that future Honda models would integrate Google's in-vehicle connected service and that it would launch the first of these models in North America in the second half of this year.
The release date and the global relevance suggest that the debut CR-V model for the advanced Google system could be the new Honda CR-V. With Google built-in, customers will use Google Assistant, Google Maps, and Google Play directly through native apps installed on the vehicle's infotainment system.
Some Honda CR-V owners have just one complaint about their SUV, and the multimedia system is not user-friendly. In a car expert's review of the 2019 CR-V, they came to a similar conclusion.
Honda is a very family dedicated company for their CR-V class models, which are one of the best SUV class cars on the market.
Despite some years having less than adequate remarks and a lot of problems, they are still more reliable than their rivals. These might have been the best and worst years for Honda CRVs.
If you're wondering if the CR-V is still a good option, then yes, the Honda CR-V is a decent SUV.
Well, guys, that is all for today!

I replaced brakes, but just mostly did routine oil changes. Was a great car. My husband died and I didn't need 2 cars. So I sold the 2016 for a great price and used that to pay off my 2021. Not really a CVT in the traditional sense, it's an electric motor powering through the drivetrain just like my Accord Hybrid. Works quite well and no transmission to service or worry about. Honda calls it an e-CVT but it's all marketing speak.

    • @ricktotty2283
      @ricktotty2283 Před rokem +1

@@rusack7174 not exactly, it’s not marketing. The transmission contains two electric motors but it also contains a clutch pack,a planetary set, a counter shaft, and pass through shaft. If the electrical propulsion stops working the clutch pack can lock in and provide propulsion directly from the engine. Also when you push the accelerator to the floorboard this same clutch pack does engage to assist the electrical propulsion . It will use one electric motor rotated at different speed to provide CVT operation. I am a ASE master certified Technician and have seen this transmission completely disassembled. This transmission does not contain a belt and no reverse mechanical gear. Reverse is done solely with the electric motor. Toyota also has a similar ECVT transmission that contains no belt. Simple and ingenious. One thing One thing additional, The transmission in the CRV has a different gear ratio than transmission in the Accord. Other than that they are the same design. It’s also the same transmission it’s in my Honda clarity.

Another issue is CVT, when they go that is it cannot be repaired they have to be replaced completely. 2023 will be a completely new generation and hasn’t even been officially revealed. Too early to speculate on how old customer feedback will impact this new model. But I am curious if the hybrid will have a spare tire? Will an improved audio system be adopted? Honda Sensing 360? Any surprise features/tech for this segment? Will 1st year model in 2023 have built in obsolescence…removing features such as fog lights only to be added later (yeah, Toyota did that)? 2023 RAV4 rumored to be getting much needed interior and safety tech upgrades, however, some issues seem to have plagued multiple years which surprises me from Toyota (fuel tank, hybrid cable corrosion, etc.). Until a new generation of RAV4 introduced, I think the new CR-V will be a better buy long term.

I have a 2021 CR-V. With the electric motor, it gets up and goes just fine. Put it in Sport mode and you will get thrown back in your seat. Styling is far better than the RAV4. The one thing that swayed me against the Toyota is the analog gauges in a hybrid. Just seems cheap. The CR-V is all digital. Gas mileage is awesome. I can easily get 37+ mpg with a mix of city and highway speeds. Lastly, I heard about all the infotainment concerns when I first did my research. I am not sure what people are talking about. I find the Toyota system to far less intuitive. The reaction of the CR-V infotainment seems fine to me. I get into the vehicle and it connects right up. Bottomline, totally happy with my Honda.

On the highway, I get 35 mpg instead of the 33 that it’s rated at. The space is also a selling point for me. Also don’t get me started on having to pay for remote start on the RAV4. On the CRV it’s on the key with no charge. The led turn signals on the CRV are much brighter than the halogens on the RAV4.

I am on my second CR-V, my first one I had it for 10 years and this second is on year five. Until now, once you go to AWD you never go back to front wheel drive, especially if you live where there is snow and ice for a good five months of the year. I just hope that Honda comes out with a plug-in hybrid, which will save even more gas if you only do short trips, that would make the transition to full EV less stressful until they extend the range with better batteries and shorter charging times. Gas will not disappear in 2035, but it might be scarce and even more expensive than today. One issue that keeps people from going full EV is the range and anxiety of running down the battery. Today if you run out of gas you don’t even have to be towed, just get enough gas to get you to a gasoline station, with an EV is the tow and at least two hours waiting for a full recharge. For now hybrid is the best of both worlds!

It's essentially a new exterior shell with the same engine perhaps "slightly" refined in it's CVT too be fair but that's even stretching it. No folks if you want a real game changer i suggest test driving the new Nissan Rogue with the 3cyl turbo it is refined and has PLENTY of power with the new engine. Only time will tell on reliability but that goes for any new vehicle from the ground up. I test drove one and was THOROUGHLY impressed and it has just about the same amount of cargo room as the CRV. I'm not impressed with this new model and Honda needs to go back to the drawing board.

Second, none of the CR-Vs for the American market have or will have a panoramic sunroof. Third, you are confusingly comparing apples to oranges by switching between year models, not only for the CR-V, but the other models you are attempting to compare. Crap like this is what causes confusion with misinformation.

I bought the 2023 Honda CRV sport touring and it is NOT worth it if you have to drive some uphills in the freeway or streets. In the freeway, you will literally be driving from 70mph and it will drop to 50-55mph once you get on the uphill. It’s ridiculous! You can try going on “sport mode” and press on the gas, but it literally feels like you’re pushing the car at its max and yet can barely speed up. As a matter of fact, it doesn’t even accelerate faster. The sport touring on this car is deceiving. My 2015 accord can even drive faster than this new 2023 crv! I am looking forward to trading it in a couple of years.
