And one brand that doesn’t get as much recognition, even though it is pretty awesome, is Audi. Audi has been in the game for quite a while, closely competing with BMW. And speaking of BMW, the new Audi RS3 just beat one of the craziest records set by BMW. What a way to tease a facelift for a new car! The 2025 Audi RS3 is a car unlike any other. About a month ago, Audi introduced the new RS3, and let’s just say that it is going to be amazing. In case you are worried that the automaker has reduced the power, you can relax because it will still make about 400 horsepower from the turbocharged 2.5-liter TFSI five-cylinder engine under its hood. However, there is more to the car than meets the eye.
Audi might have just teased the facelifted RS3 in the most interesting way. And this is not with some big show like other automakers do. Audi decided that to showcase the 2025 Audi RS3, they would set a new lap record. A lightly camouflaged prototype of the Audi RS3 sedan circled the Nürburgring in only 7:33.123 minutes. This is far better than one of its greatest competitors, which is the BMW M2 Coupe’s time. Not only that, but by doing this, it has set a new benchmark for compact models in Green Hell.
To break this record, Audi had Audi Sport racing and development driver Frank Stippler drive the pre-production prototype around the 20.832-kilometer track, which is about 12.9- miles. If you keep track of the Audi RS3, you will notice that the 7:33.123 timestamp is more than 7 seconds faster than the 7:40.748 timestamp that was also achieved by the pre-facelifted Audi RS3 in 2021. But that is not the highlight of this record. More importantly, it has also managed to shave off more than 5 seconds from the previous record for the compact segment, which was set by the BMW M2 Coupe in August 2023. The BMW M2 Coupe had set a record of 7:38.706 minutes around the track.
To achieve such a goal, Audi had to tweak the powertrain just a bit to make it even more powerful. And let’s just say that when you look under the hood of this car, you will get goosebumps.
A lot can be learned about the 2025 Audi RS3 from the improved lap time. For starters, this greatly suggests that the Audi Sport engineers have extensively refined the chassis setup.
Even during the whole lap around the track, Audi made sure that they didn’t reveal much about the redesigned body of the RS3. And to achieve that, the automaker wrapped the new RS3 in Nürburgring-themed camouflage. However, even with that, some of the changes that were made to the outgoing model, which made its debut about three years ago, are still discernible.
Even with the camouflage, which looks pretty nice, by the way, there are some changes that were still spotted on the new car. Some of the most notable updates include fresh LED graphics on the lighting units and redesigned bumpers. But that’s not all. The front also comes with some revised, aggressive intakes, while the rear diffuser is noticeably larger than before.
There are some other changes to the Audi RS3 that we have an idea of, especially when it comes to the hardware and software.
In addition to all that, the RS3 will also benefit from the updates that were introduced to the rest of the A3 range for the 2025 model year. Some of these changes include some minor styling tweaks, new interior trim options, and updated in-car technology. The latter includes a range of on-demand features that can be added or removed through the MyAudi app.
The 2025 Audi RS3 has already broken one record. And with the way things are, it is about to break even more. This is a car that is going to raise the bar even higher for its class.

BMW makes excellent sport sedans but not luxury sport sedans. Mercedes makes excellent luxury sedans but not luxury sports sedans. There IS a difference. Both makers have difficulties crossing that line.
Nothing changed for 2025
This vehicle is nice but I've learned my lesson by buying a vehicle that is new to the market! Purchased a 2024 Lincoln Nautilus (also built in China) and it's been in the ship more days than I've had it to drive and I purchased it in mid-April! It's also a beautiful car but.....

Repair Costs?
Artist renderings don’t really mean much. Don’t get too excited. The versions that go on sale in the UsS don’t look nearly as good as the same ones sold in overseas markets. Wait for official images from the automaker.

The question is why Mercedes insists on selling North American vehicles (and other countries) with a front license plate mounted over the front grill!!! 3:20 Extremely poor thinking, when the plate mount could be redesigned to mount the plate below the grill. Details count! Geesh.

Please get rid of the ugly low-class big screen with its finger grease collector. Get rid of the buttons on the door that work by pressure and do not move bring back the old buttons and bring back the old interior with some minor changes and tweaks that was the best-looking interior in the W222 i also liked the 221 interior

I purchased a brand new S350 and immediately realized that it had a very big problem of noise. After reporting this huge defect, mercedes did not reveal that this defect was a badly designed car, pretended to try to repair this defect. In the end, they claimed that the noise was a FEATURE of this model. More than 2 years have passed in vain and i am waiting for the court to decide. BEWARE not to fall in the same trap!!
You can only “fall into this trap” if you’re unlucky enough to get a defective model
I want an S class wagon. I'll settle for an E63.
Have an E450 wagon, and I have never once have I wished for more power. I do however like having a 3rd row of seats and some other features my 2019 has that the E63 couldn't come with. Frankly put it Sport+ and pay attention and I have shut down Tesla's, BMW M series, and crazy Dodge's. All which should have smoked me, but were in the wrong mode, not paying attention, or the like. Would it be fun to have 600hp for an afternoon? Sure. But almost 400hp, plus AWD, and awesome tires if pretty entertaining. And as I mentioned, I have the wagon. So it cuts people just that little bit more when I shut them down.

Honestly, I hate the exterior body design and the interior layout. Especially the cockpit. I have a 2020 Santa Fe and the 2022 was the last version that looked good. I won’t be upgrading to another Hyundai.
