Fun fact about Ada actually taking an advice from Leon. So in RE4, when she finally approaches Leon, they have a little fight, after which Leon says something along the line “Try using knives next time, works better in close encounters.” And she actually goes for a knife in the second CGI movie, when fighting Svetlana Belikova

I didn't know Ada's voice was a dub in Resident Evil Retribution. That was some good lip-sync. Much credit to the woman playing Ada in Retribution though, in that original clip, she's really trying hard to do her lines in English. :-)

I think Ada is supposed to be morally gray. But I think she leans toward the good side. RE6 in particular shows this but she has signs of it throughout the series. However, an unpopular opinion I have is that Ada is the most interesting female character in the series, most consistent, and best looking.
I believe it was stated somewhere that before meeting Leon for the first time, she was completely morally gray and only doing what her job required of her. Leon obviously changed her for the better, if by a little.
anyone willing to do the type of work she does has to be... in stories like these no one is good or bad they just lean towards one side more than another.
I also liked the fact that in Resident Evil 4, Leon tells Ada that it's better to use knives in close combat. So in Resident Evil Retribution, she uses one when fighting a skilled woman (avoiding spoilers) in close combat.
I thought that was a neat callback to the character's history.
At least that callback is a good one... As for the rest XD...

For me, Ada is one of the most interesting characters in RE, would love to know more about her origins, she’s so mysterious. It’s easy to assume that she’s bitchy and cold hearted, but i think there’s so much more to her character and she does have a heart.
I really hope Ada gets her own game where she is the main playable character and the story revolves around her. I know she’s had her own campaign mode in RE4 and 6...but she definitely deserves something with just her in it.

I like Ada because she drives the plot forward very well. She doesn't let her personal flaws and nuances get the better of her, and doesn't require the player to relate with her, thus focusing on the bigger picture.
Right you are. I actually would like to see a game dedicated to her, not just one where you get to play a small section with her or bonus campaign to another game like RE4 and 6.

Lily Gao, the voice actress for the RE4 remake, also portrays Ada in the live action movie.
In all honestly. Based on the novels Leon was very smart. He was top of his graduating class and his ability to adapt and over come the obstacles in resident evil 2 proves how smart he is. I mean dude wanted to be a detective in the books are still considered cannon.

Ada and Krauser are like comedians in RE4. Their conversations are always sarcastic or just funny. Including the scene were Ada hop near Krausers face and saw her undies 🤣
Here's one: at one point Ada was in an early version of the script for RE: Village.
I hope we get Separate Ways when REmake 4 comes out. Ada has always been my favorite RE character and I want to play as her again so bad. Her moral ambiguity, her secret missions and the way she does what she wants instead of what's right makes her so much more complex than other RE characters.

Oh, thank god. I've seen some pictures of pages from these mangas (some was apparentely +18), and i just though "No, this can't be real."
The "La Femme Nikita" inspiration was in reference to the French film, not the American T.V show. It's a minor thing and the show was based on the film anyway, but it's interesting to compare the character design and personality of Nikita in the film and Ada in RE2. The show's interpretation of the character is noticeably dissimilar by comparison.
A bit of advice try using knives next time works better for close encounters.

Actually there's one fact, that You didn't mentioned-in all books, raports, artbooks and games there was never told how old she is, but her age actually was first and last time showed in Resident Evil: Archives, where is written that she is 24 years, so she is 3 years older than Leon
We need a closure for Ada after RE6 like who is she? Who is the organization she works? What are they trying to do? Etc, etc.
It will be revealed eventually, as for who is the woman? Hopefully never.
It’s obvious however that she’s an undercover American agent. As to why her assignments align with Leon’s, she betrays her contacts but not her employer, uses multiple covers, and inevitably prevents another outbreak.
G-Virus, Los Plagas, nor C-Virus would see a major outbreak after their initial exposure in the series, meaning her employers, the Americans, receive the samples. A *rival* organization to all bioterrorists and pharmaceuticals.

@@Athraxas as I recall Carla has to train hard to become super spy just like Ada, in that time she might not be ready for an actual mission and stealing samples from underground lab in foreign country require lots of experience so better hire the real Ada than to lose the one you're trying so hard to clone.

And we'll never know why CRAPCOM had the brilliant idea of including this agent in her RE6 campaign instead of HUNK
Her campaign was always meant to be a solo only campaign. They added Agent because people complained about not being able to do coop in her campaign. Having a canonical character making a non canon appearance in a canon scenario would have been confusing and weird. Hell I even had to read that sentence twice to make sure I wrote it right. Agent has to teleport whenever Ada uses the grapple hook or any non standard means of traversing the level just because he was never intended to appear in that campaign. Making a generic and non canon Agent is the best way to convey that his appearance is not canon to the story and is only there for coop purposes.

Well... since Agent was added after people complained that Ada's scenario didn't had co op wouldn't be expected that the players connected the dots and had realized that HUNK in her campaign would be clearly non canon?

In the book of RE2 aka City of the Dead. Ada actually she admired people who put their lives on their line and kinda liked Leon. She tried multiple times to "Kill Leon" or have the B.O.W.s kill him, but over time she developed feelings for Leon, and even cared for him.

The main reason they aren't canon is that a lot of things were changed, like how Leon and Claire go together instead of seperately through RE2. Pretty sure Leon and Krausers campaign is still canon though

As far as I know, they were always reinterpretations an never considered canon. The clue is in the name, "Chronicles". They're basically the report files of their adventures to give to their respective bosses, so they have to condense some information, and whomever reads the file might interpret some things in a way they didn't happen (such as having Leon and Claire go around the RPD together.
So, even if the basics of the story are more or less the same, the details are different. This likely applies to Leon and Krauser's campaign too.

Far too many people are hung up on this "47 types of gender" shit. Humans have traits that are decidedly more male or female and those traits often times overlap within a person. It's nothing more than the human condition.

Hisoka from Hunter x Hunter and Ada are two characters that I absolutely adore due to their mysterious nature. Plus remake Ada is beyond cute af but the character was lacking compared to the original.

I kind of liked Ada's chapter synopsis voice lines. It gives a really unique introspection like a diary where she keeps her inner most thoughts that she'd never share with anyone else. Her entire entry for Leon may as well be: "I want this guy to take me now" . But considering there's no connecting time between RE2 and 4 having someone acknowledge that Leon IS kind of a genius to go from a rookie cop to a highly skilled STRATCOM agent in just 6 years is kind of bonkers.
Its sad Ada doesn't get more of that characterization.

9:12 She probably used the grappling hook which was made even more clear in the RE2 Remake, the hints are all there if you watch her ark in the game carefully. Remember when you play as Ada the first thing she says is "secret weapon time" and suddenly a new weapon is added in your inventory so it would be safe to assume she had the grappling gun hidden on her. Also when she's about to fall down at the end, she looks down for a second and says it's okay because she already planned where to hook before letting go off Leon's hand and Annette didn't hit any of her vital organs, the reason why she was almost good as new when she tossed the launcher to Leon during Mr X fight.
