  • Well I think that the air leaks problem is sort d and was the cause of the left side pop. It runs like a dream now as you can see in the sunshine ride!

    Yes that's one of the first things ( besides internal rebuilds) I've changed on the all my xs bikes. The little things we sometimes overlook. She sounds sweet. You are making me envious. I can't wait until summer.

      I didn’t really think that it needed it but it has made a hell of a difference.

    The USA spec was called the xs custom due to the humped seat,whereas we called it the special .
    None of your joyous ride would have been possible unless you put your heart n soul into it, as per normal.

      Mate it rides beautifully. Gear changes are so smooth compared to more modern chain drives. Definitely worth a go if you spot one to do up.

      @@stevepalmer5670 you may be right Steve but it’s a bit of an unfair comparison. This bike is 40 years old!

    Nice one Nat. I had them filters on my cb 900 cheap bike ran like a bag off shit . So paid a bit more and got some k n with a stage 3 kit . Be sad to see the old girl go . Onwards and up 👍😂❤️🔧🏍

      It runs well now. With pods and straight through exhausts I think that it will always be a little poppie but it's a great bike.

    So, I’m wondering, are those pods designed for 1978 carbs? Why did you have to modify them. I need filters for my 78. Any suggestions. Nice bike you have there.

      This was along time ago but I do remember having to restrict the air on the pods.

    Hey Nat, did you do any rejetting to compensate for the pod air filters? And if so what jet sizing did u use?

    • @NatsNackersYard
      @NatsNackersYard  Před rokem +1

      It was a couple of years ago so I don't remember mate. As a rule of thumb though it's up one main jet size per adaption. This might help: czcams.com/video/sRb3AilTlwU/video.html
