  • This is one of Bisaya Sarawak traditional dance from Limbang. This dance is call.........Tindak alu with the tune of Gandang Ancayaw(correct me if I 'm wrong).Bisaya are the best gong music player in Sarawak. They play about 20+ gongs and 1 drum(dumbak) for one music of a dance. The ethnic Bisaya of Sarawak are mostly Christian but some still remain pagan and retain some of the old belief and ritual. One may witness the old ritual through Temaro' dance and Adaw Gayoh fest.

FYI, the word Philippines and Filipino are Spanish and Filipino referred to the full-bloodied Spaniards born in the Colony meanwhile Pilipino is the Corazon Aquino Administration's plagiarization by switching the F to P to make it sound native.

woww....there r so many runaway Borneo Bisaya towards aeta's tropical island. the last time i visited northern serawak fro a wedding, there r only left/less than 7thousand serawak Bisaya population, and there r more living west coast of Sabah(20thousand+) together with their dusunic sibling of Tatana/Tenggara Dusunic & majority maintain living in rich "dollar" kingdom(not sure about the population,as some confusion regarding their identity name as Bisaya & SangJati,as majority prefer to be called Sangjati/Dusun rather than Bisaya, incase public/brunei gov. might refer them as Sarawakian Bisaya/Non-Brunei Citizen b4 brunei independence's day in the 80s).
Bisaya considered as pure indigenous of Borneo(proto) and today, some "Visaya" came back to Borneo island/east coast Sabah for good,as they r in-love with RInggit.hehe

While some mobilize bisaya citizen maintain their Dusunic language+mixed heritage/language from the "Pintados" & other proto citizen of northern archipelago(marhalika) r the Tausug/Visayan & decided to live east of Sabah while speak variant Dusunic+Northern Archipelago are today's Paitanic group of Sabah, excluded the Tausug & recently Visayan immigrant that speak intangible "mestizo" language.
Not forgetting another minority portion of Borneo origin dusunic population(20'000+) that successfully having another 2nd home/kingdom around large "Lanao" but still live around west coast Sabah, instead identified themselves as the "Maranao" like their sibling that still live in Mindanao, they maintain their old ancestor group name as ethnic "Irranun".

actually, i'm not sure if the Serawak Bisaya are related to the Malayic SriVijaya. If they did related, they are not Bisaya anymore, but "Barunai/Malay@mohameddans" & under the Sultanate Brunei rule. But the pure Bisaya in northern Serawak, were more proto@indigenous, just like the Ifugaos/Igarot and live isolated area as they prefer to be rule by their own "Chieftain" rather than ruled by Sultanate in the past. they still maintain much of the old Indigenous heritage/culture than their deutro arabic Barunai sibling...
I heard that the Visayan overthere are more Mestizo & their heritage/language might be intangible to the Dusunic Bisaya...do the Visaya there plays Metal Piano like this video?
