Dusun Bisaya Traditional Dance, Sabah, Malaysia / Liliput Dance/ Tarian Liliput

Bisaya is an indigenous people from the northwest coast of East Malaysia on the island of Borneo. Their population is concentrated around Beaufort, Kuala Penyu, Menumbok, Sipitang, Labuan Federal Territory and in Limbang District, Sarawak. The Bisaya tribe has many similarities with the Dusun Tatana tribe, especially in terms of language. It is evident that some of their dialogical language conversations are almost identical if they have a dialogue with each other. Nowadays the Bisaya living in Sabah are Muslim, while the Bisaya living in Sarawak are mostly Christian. In Brunei, they are referred as Dusun, Jati Dusun and Bisaya (one group with the Dusun people of Sabah, Dusunic people)

LILIPUT
Liliput is a traditional dance of the Bisayan ethnic to heal patients due to black magic. Liliput means ‘encircling a patient during the healing process in progress’, that is the patient’s spirit needs to be pulled back for it to reenter the patient’s body.
In the healing session the medicine man and his assistant move around encircling the patient while reciting mantras. After the ceremony is over a couple of dancers encircle the patient while dancing the Liliput Dance till the end and the patient is conscious or healed.
The dancers’ costume is black in colour. The dance is accompanied with musical instruments such as gong, kulintangan, drum and cymbal.

Bisaya in the Philippines is not related to Bisaya in Brunei. Bisaya in the Philippines is the largest ethnic group at 61 million (estimated), while Visayas in Burnie is indigenous at only 60,000.
what are you saying datu's who came from Borneo? That's stupid, that information is not true, that information is just made up by random people, that's not true.
Our ancestors are not from Borneo, stupid, study history first.

@@maldito8679 agree, for me it's just a myth, if they are Bisaya's from Borneo, their name would certainly sound Bisayan, for example Datu Puti (white) should be Datu Purak in Borneo Bisayan, but all 10 Datu's names are like Filipino names. The Borneo Bisayas and the Philippines Visayas are distinctly different in terms of language and physically.

@@maldito8679Yes they are!!.. Bisai’YAH Mindanao was originated in Brunie, along with JAWI Arabic and Arabic people of Mindanao, not including Visayas region!!..
They are one of the lost tribe of Zebulun(from 12 tribes of Israel).
They are among the sabaeians Israelites who sails through the island of Borneo>>> Mindanao island.
“Zebulun” means “To Dwell or Honor” they are known for Sea Fearing, Shipping & Trade.
Influence by Sanskirt, Brunie name derived from the word “Varun” which means sea fearer or “Baru Nah” which means “Thats it”.
