Thank you for your reaction - kind words
We thank you and your father, for he was the true flying knight. And we will never forget!
This was an amazing story, what an honor, thank you for taking the time out of your day to watch my little video, I hope you and your family have a fantastic holiday, his story will live on forever !!!
I cried and was proud at the same time to be Swedish and a Sabaton fan.
What the video didn't show, is that Sabaton took the time to personally meet the Stigler family at that concert. Franz Stigler's commander had told them that if they ever shot at a man in a parachute, that he would shoot them himself. Franz felt that shooting a plane so badly damaged, was akin to that. As always, even if you watch on your own, check out their history channel episode for the song, for more on the story.
Now you see why we insisted on the animated story video. 🤘😊. There are a few more of those, suggest another one next, either "Night Witches" or "Lady of the Dark".
And the first soldier🎉🎉
Pardon und entschuldigung, ich habe eben das selbe geantwortet...;) wir haben uns wohl überschnitten
And the Red Baron.
I cried watching it the first time. I couldn't believe that the video went on and their is more and more to it. In fact, I cry every time I watch it, even after the 100th time (I'm crying right 😅) this story is so amazing.
There is a book about this event and the lives of Franz Stigler und Charlie Brown, it's called "A higher call" by Adam Makos and I absolutely recommend reading it.
As next I recommend "Night Witches" also animated video, for another great story.
I was about to leave a comment stating that this video and a few others of their videos gets me each and every time I watch other people react to the stories.
Same here, really emotional video
This is the only Sabaton song that continually brings me to tears. Honor and chivalry in war are so rare.
Great, educational, that is SABATON 💪🏽💪🏽
Sabaton are my history books 📚
and there are teachers who use this as an example!!!
We will never forget
Franz and Charlie 💙💙
a true testament to the fact that peace and love solve everything....
Peace 🕊️✌️🏳️
Thanx 🤘🏼from the
Netherlands ❤️ 🇳🇱
Sabaton should teach history to kids in schools !!!!
POWERFUL song by Great Sabaton 🤘🥲🤘
Franz Stigler later on said during an interview, that his former squad Leader once spoke to every Pilot, telling them that they are no morderer, they are Soldiers! And if he gets aware that one of his Pilots shoots at an enemy parachute, he will execute the one himself. So thats why Franz saw this B17 as a hardly flying Parachute....Not worth a poor victory for a Knight....maybe...we dont know...what is for sure is that his canadian friends and neighbours called him a Nazi, when the Incident became public, and on the other hand he reveived letters from Germany, calling him a traitor...
Just goes to show you what an impact this band has! Sabaton rules!
The book A Higher Call tells their full story and even has photos and letters.
Franz not only escorted them to safety, but he also flew close enough to the Pub that ground weapons couldn't shoot, for fear of hitting him, too. What a guy!
I didn't know about this story until this Sabaton video. It's so beautiful that both have been able to meet again and become great friends/brothers. You should see the photo of Ye Olde Pub when it landed. It was a wonder it could even fly with how damaged it was. They don't call them Flying Fortresses for nothing!
You should definitely check out the Sabaton History channel. Especially on their Uprising and Inmate 4859 songs.
They actually cover a Motorhead song. 1916.
Soldier of Heaven....another great history lesson.
Stigler´s daughter Jovita has commented on this video.
this is one of the songs that always makes me give a "manly" tear.. It's too much,, the story is good -- then the meetup.. I always tear up.. I ain't ashamed of that.
This song hits near the heart. I take it seriously because my grandfather was a combat photographer in the Army Air Corps. Mr Franz Stiglers daughter Jovita from the video has sent you a comment. Sabaton is bringing history to life.
11:14 The planes on the grandson's desk 🤘
As someone who has watched countless reaction videos to this video and a few others sabaton has done. I still tear up each and every time, few things get me emotional quite like sabaton videos can do.
I'm so glad that you mentioned Iron Maiden, this song has always given me Aces High vibes.
As always, great reaction brother.
Great Reaction. I love this song and the story behind it!
I remember a story, After Charlie and Franz got reunited, Charlie Invited him to a gathering of friends and family. Franz came to the gathering, there were a lot of people there, some of them were of their generation, but there were also younger people and children. After a while Franz told Charlie that he felt out of place among this gathering of family and friends that he did not know.
But Charlie pointed out that all of the people in that gathering were the people he saved and their families, and that the reason they are all here is because of his heroic act.
Amazing song, Amazing video, and a great reaction again dude 🤘
Sabaton History channel goes into details about most of their songs. Is great to listen to. Next song should be Night Witches animated video
No Nightwitches live from Wacken
There is an episode on Sabaton history about this song.
sabaton lady of the dark animated story video is my fav
Sabaton - Nightwitches (animated) Allways animated if posseble with sabaton
Animated STORY video, there are two animated.
Great reaction! 🤘 This is a jaw dropping story. It got me the first few times I heard it and watched this epic video. It always amazes me. And Sabaton nowadays share their fans with Yarn Hub, who created some of their awesome animated videos😃.
"If that woke the baby i'm getting shot" every father can relate🤣
I cried and still do every time I hear it. It is one of the many many reasons I love these guys. They bring to light and life the many untold stories of the men, women and in some cases children who showed bravery, honor and heartache during times of war. Stories that we are never taught in history classes. Though I have heard that there are some teachers who are aware of Sabaton and actually will play their songs in their classes. Teaching students in a way that they can relate to and remember. Sabaton is a wonderful group with a lot of heart and respect for those who gave their all in war.
More 🤘 SABATON. 🤘
More 🤘 FLOOR 🤘
So happy you did the animated version cause the content is just mindblowing.
With great music, nice riffs, and exceptional lyrics, Sabaton managed to tell a story of bravery, compation, and heroism.
This is the strength of Sabaton. They are always able to take relative unknown stories and bring them to life.
Mate, you need to check your comments section, Franz's daughter is here with you
I badly recommend see Sabaton story channel & look for the video about this song
I kinda tear up every time I watch this video, and it's been a few times Lol.Several Sabaton stories do that to me tho.Great reaction brother 👊
I heard Charlie Brown give a talk about this shortly before he passed. His book is good. Sabaton is a gift!
We predicted tears😂 Thanks for a great reaction.
Thank you for your reaction to this video. Sabaton produced also the very emotional hitting musicvideo "1916". The text is from Lenny and members of Motörhead are actors in the video, too. The video "christmas truce" is even based on a true historical event in WW I. At the end of this video the wife of Tommy, Floor Jansen, is singing the vocals. Realy beautiful! Both videos are cinematic like a movie and realy heartbreaking. At least there is a musicvideo "Bismarck". Powerful cinematic video about the sinking of the battleship Bismarck. Sorry for my bad english...
Floor Jansen is actually married to Hannes, their drummer. Not to Tommy
@@rickyapril104 yes, sorry!
@recordedbattlefield5cheate693 And he did reactions to all 3 of these videos...
@@progoholic yes, because i realy like them and Sabaton. Sorry, i am a an over 60 years old german and my son's brought my to this band. I visited 3 events in germany and i was hitted by the music and the storys. And i played "Battlefield" from the beginning... I stopped it because of the cheaters and the nagging players. But Sabaton is a super band and it's worth to listen and see the story's. Have a nice day and please take my apologize.
if you havent checkout the historical version of devil dogs the us marines in ww1
Dude - I tear up every time I watch that video!

Nightwish Army Northern Germany greets the Sabaton family. now we have 2 daughters :)
If you don't tear up at least a little watching this one you're not human.
Hey, would love to expose you to some fun and interesting Middle Eastern Metal!
And starting with the band that coined the term - Orphaned Land!
I can only concur with my fellow posters. Great reaction to a great song and great history lesson.
Get ready, I have seen that family coment reactionvideos of this song before. Wonderful song
Jovita Stigler keeps up with reactions to this song! She might comment on your reaction.
Lady of the Dark next?
And that is the integrity of the gentlemen of Sabaton❤❤ Thank you for the great reaction.😊
I hope you do the live version of The Last Stand the 29:th, it's the best.
SABATON - The Last Stand (Official Music Video)
I’ve seen this awesome video many times and it still gets me! Great reaction!🎸🤘
Night witches next, please. Also the animated Story.
This is why it does matter what video you watch. There are several songs this applies to.
So cool indeed.
Can you imagine, loosing aour only brother to the enemy, not being full of hate.can you imagine the bomber crew realizing, they won't die this day??
well if you've done this 1, you gotta do the next animated story video of Night Witches
First time 😢, 700'th time 😢
*First time I saw this video:* Cried so much I had to go to the bathroom, take my glasses off and grab toilet paper to dry the tears streaming down my face. And I'm talking full on ugly crying.
I’ve always said if you don’t tear up at least a little with this one you don’t have a soul. First time I heard it definitely teary eyed and I knew the story but had never seen the interview of them together.
I saw Skid Row last summer at Sweden rock and Erik was fantastic. So Skid Row lives on without Sebastian Bach. Like Nightwish lives on without Tarja. I understand what you feel but many band would die in that case. Acdc survived iron maiden got even better. I am going to see journey this summer without Steve Perry, it feels wierd but maybe it is still great
Sabaton History brings you the historical background to all Sabaton songs.

And they have a lot die hard fans too.

Hope you check out, and can enjoy it too. Big thanks🙏
It’s not some mewling fool trying to get lucky. Said it for you 😂
If you want to do another "History Lesson" about something that not many will know about, you should do Sabaton Night Witches czcams.com/video/5YPo8zDkvy4/video.html
Having an interest in WWII is no more fucked up than having an interest in the American Civil War or the Roman Empire bud
…….where did I say it was lol
@@GP42Reacts Hello. Lovley reaction as always 😊👍 I got an idea of what you should do if you feel like it! And that is to react to all Sabaton's songs in all the albums they have! What I mean is to go all in with Sabaton even if it will take time as you react to other music too! But it makes absolutely nothing that it will take time if you decide to do it! And the songs you have already reacted to, you can then skip if you want to! I am sure you would have loved it and not regretted it!
I want to recommend more songs to you too!😎 If there are some that you have already reacted to, you can ignore them!😊

Remember that it's perfectly okay to show emotions and cry when listening to music in reaction videos, etc. I love your channel!❤️ love when you react and discover more of my favorite band!😎🤘 Sabaton has been my favorite band since they were formed in 1999 in Falun here in Sweden! Warm and kind greetings from a big Sabaton fan in northern Sweden (Västerbotten) 🇸🇪🇸🇪
