I doubt Emily has a food take worse than 'all bread tastes the same' or 'all fruit is shit'.
We'll find out soon, won't we?
Edit: Oh boy. We certainly did.
ong bruh, that bread video was literally the worst episode i’ve ever seen
Not even 10 min in and she already said she takes the meat out of the ramen
connor said the all fruit is shit in the context of eating it as desert, if it's just in general at any moment I think he won't mind eating fruit
Well I'm with her and rank udon top tier in Japan
They wanted to roast Emily for her trash food takes but ended up concerned about Connor’s in the first 20 minutes 😂
Everytime she says how much she loves fruit desserts and how excited she sounds and look but his hate is so damn funny.
Me: "Roasting Emiru? Connor would shoot himself before she's rare"
He did, in fact, shot himself before she's rare.
I dunno man, cold soup is pretty shit
Nah Connor is right. Noodles, soup, or any meal if it's cold, it ain't a meal. A meal needs to be hot.
Need to add Emily head turn to the "Connor has an opinion" meme
Connor when he realized Emily has just as many terrible takes as him:
"Finally a worthy opponent. Our battle will be legendary."
Bro just stared into the void for 2 min straight thinking about their food takes. 47:30
The boys: bring emily on to rival their trash takes.
Meanwhile the boys: bring worse takes.

They stopped roasting Emily and immediately became nice after she handed out the gifts LOL

Love how inclusive the boys are, a guest could have the most batshit insane takes and it still wouldn't be worse than "all bread tastes the same."
I like how Connor responded to that "Jeez Garnt, I think you can't be that racist to white people!" LOL
Or Joey saying “are Mario games really good or was that just nostalgia?”
Garnt is right. Garnt was saying bread has the same purpose as rice to be a complementary to the actual dish or meat. Asians relate if you can't I'm sorry you're just lying to yourself at that point.
@@jqa16 no, he was saying "all bread tastes the same," not that "all breads serve the same purpose"
That's not even as bad as "chicken breast tastes better than chicken thighs".
Oh my God, I totally feel Emily's Asian dad story. My dad was Japanese and an engineer, so trying to do math homework with him was excruciating. Every time I got something wrong, he gave me thus look that clearly said, "You have personally dishonored my ancestors, and I am going to lock you in a room with a short sword and I expect you to do the honorable thing."

funny thing is, my dad did the exact same thing. I had him help me one time with homework and I ended up crying within the first 5 minutes. He didn't even finish school despite being provided the opportunity.
are east asian dads still like that? i always thought it was just an exxagerated joke. in south asia, our parents also prioritize education wayy to much but not to this level
Almost had a stroke when Joey said that vinegar is a base. Trying to level acid with acid is a gem of an idea
I was having AP chem flashbacks
That very famous base called acetic acid
12:53 Connor, you are not insane. That actually makes perfect sense and exactly how it works. One of the general advices on how to cool yourself in hot weather is to eat a hot soup. By eating a hot food, you sweat more and cool much more than you would by eating cold food. Hot soup (or hot beverages) are also preferable to other hot food, since it helps you stay hydrated for more sweating and more cooling.

@@Random_Guy_20xx You're thinking of _English._ Scotland and Wales are part of Great Britain (which is 'the island of Great Britain', though, since part of Great Britain, North Ireland, is on the island of Ireland.), but not part of England. I like how they’re roasting Connor for liking tea in hot weather but that’s actually the optimal way to cool down when you’re hot
No it isn't
@@kunimitsune177 A hot drink on a hot day can cool you down though
It is if you're open to wanting to sweat more.
But I don't want to sweat more.
I want to sweat less.
@@WithoutForm911 Sweating is how your body cools down in hot weather.
It is! I used to grow up in a hot country (up to +50 Celsius in shade at summer), and I always go for hot tea in hot weather, that's how you make your body hottor and it's closer to environment (or at least it feels this way), and you don't need to drink as much. But if you drink cold things, you would drink and drink and drink forever, and get a cold afterwards. Now we are living in really cold place with snow half a year, and my husband, who grew up here, is always in shock with me drinking hot tea like that. And when we went to my family once... you guessed it, he got cold like second day >.
I love Emily, she’s a box of joy as a guest. Bring her back more often!
I had a visceral "What the hell, Connor?" reaction to his hate of cold soup and then I thought about it and I can't think of a cold soup that I like. I think I only like hot soup. I basically only like sweets or fruit cold. I wanted to think he was a clown, but I was the clown the whole time.
We all do a bit of tomfoolry in our life. Sometimes it's by labelling others as the clown

I'm with Connor on cold soup being a crime against soup
But you can eat it like jello
Cold soup will always be a crime in my book
Cold soup does not register as soup to me
If my soup is cold I don’t want it.
Cold soup just feels wrong
I almost threw my phone across the room when they said Southern sweet tea is awful. If it tastes like sugar water, then it’s not been made correctly. I make it at home and brew it for 15 minutes to get a very strong tea that has a balanced flavor when you add sugar. That’s how you really do it.
agreed. They probs had McDonald's or Bojangles tea (which is sugar water).
Nah. You're tooo accustomed to extreme flavors that most American tastebuds are fried.
I mean, I get it. Sweet tea in theory is great, but I can't remember the last time it wasn't some stale badly-made-by-a-minimum-wage-16-year-old or convenience store jug tea. Mom used to make sun tea in a big glass pitcher, and hasn't done in 20 years or so, so maybe that's the issue.

The strawberry conversation and the following fruit discussion is actually so wholesome. It’s like they forgot they were podcasting for a few minutes and were just chatting.
1:21:22 I had one of those. They gross. You gotta have like a special band-aid that like sticks to it, then it pulls it out from underneath the skin a bit, and you can either sand it with a pummace stone or use like a plastic knife to saw away at it over time. So Garnt carving it out with a knife isn't super far off from a method to get rid of it. @@Sai-ns9ky I assume you are Indian, the stuff that these Japanese doctors are doing would get us failed in medicine VIVA.
@@souviksikdar1864 How did you know?
@@Sai-ns9ky I am a med student dude. And your name is Sai. You're probably Tamilian or from Andhra.
The hot drink on a hot day is actually common in many hot countries around the globe. I think it has to do with your body having to cool down the drink and thus having a cooling effect on your whole system. I once got served a hot tea from a local in the egyptian desert.
34:48 Well, that is the easier side to open a banana from since it works most of the time. Depending on the ripeness, peeling from the stem doesn't always open well.
1:25:42 "Put vinegar or some kind of base"
Pretty vinegar is acidic and idk about other countries cause in the Philippines specially in the provinces, when we go to the beach we usually bring a lot of stuff for cooking. Vinegar, etc. usually stuff for barbequing.
You know it's gonna be a good episode when it comes to food takes and Emily
As a med tech, probably should've gone to a hematologist since Sydney had bruising but no other symptoms hence why the US doctor suggested that she might have a low platelet count. A CBC could be ordered if you're really worried
PS: Fruit is not worse than vegetables. L + ratio
As someone from Alabama, them saying sweet tea was bad legit made me do a double take. lol you guys grew up drinking your fancy tea and you love it, I grew up drinking sweet tea and it's delicious! Make your own and put as much or as little sugar in it you want, put a sprig of mint and a lemon wedge in it, it's soooo good!
As a Texan I agree, they had horrible takes on tea.
about the bruise thing with Sydney, I often get that too. it doesn't really hurt no matter how big it is and it also naturally heals. some people say it usually appears when someone is about to have their monthly period. I dunno how accurate that was but from experience, there's probably a grain of truth in it.
