I have owned a lot of handguns over the years. I always steered clear from Caniks because at the price point, I felt something wasn't right with them. I was trading a Smith and Wesson csx (yuck). Guy had a used TP9 SF Elite S for just shy of $300. I said "screw it, I will give them a try". 7 days later I have 2 Caniks, a third on layaway, and a fourth in mind that is really poking at me to trade my BFR (which is a phenomenal gun imo). I am kicking myself for never giving them a chance until now.

I missed on the METE SF . I picked up the METE SFT 1 Nov and wish I would have picked up the SF. It is only a 15 round mag cap but that is plenty for me. I EDC a Glock 30 S with a 13 round mag from a Glock 21. Plenty fire power for me.
A METE SF with two 15 round mags would be plenty for me. I missed that boat and will enjoy my SFT. I have the V2 and the METE SFT feels like it except those trigger cuts are nice on the METE. The V2 trigger is an animal to itself. It reminds me of a revolver trigger on a striker fired weapon. Really love the ability to stage the trigger for single action carry.
The V2 trigger would be great for new and inexpreiced shooters. It is safe for those that need a little more confidence.
I can see a METE & Rival in the ( SC ) package down the road. Canik is breaking my budget lol
i want to buy the sfx and the sft but do i need both of them or just one of them? they're the same pistol if you asked me but i was told i only need the sft and not the other one. but help me out in selecting which one to buy or buy both one for home and one for the range or just buy one to do both i'm asking please help me out

I own the Canik METE SFT and SFx. Both of them are reliable (no issues, no malfunctions), very accurate, with amazing smooth trigger pulls, and great ergonomics. ALL that at an affordable reasonable price. The Glock is overhyped and overpriced. I rather have my Canik pistols.
All day, the Glock is just behind the curve at this point, they are the apple of the gun world, people buy them because they are well known, and there is no doubts that Glocks are reliable, but they have to be modded to compete with quite a few newer guns. Especially the Mete.
You might be the right guy to answer this question:
Add what distance would you consider the SFT As accurate as the SFX? I have seen plenty of videos That show the SFX being
fairly accurate at 50 and even 75 yds. Hits at 100yds. How does the SFT fair at those distances?
@@TCSkiFilms the Canik METE SFT does well at 50 and 75 yards. Bear in mind though, shooter's individual skills play an important essential role, of course, in being accurate at those distances.
@@TCSkiFilmspretty sure honest outlaw was slappin plates at 75 with the compact Canik. Could be wrong tho.

Bought the Canik SFx Rival Dark Side and it's a sick looking pistol with a ridiculous trigger. Regardless what Canik handgun you choose you can't go wrong. Now they building a factory in Florida that was scheduled to open in early 2023.

My Canik SFT is my home defense gun. At the range with 20+1 it runs flawless. A perfect rainbow of brass, a fantastic trigger, and it hits on target reliably. And other than a few stovepipes when I was breaking it in, I've never had a malfunction. After 300 rounds the malfunctions ceased. I'm not 100% a fan of the fact that it has no safety but I adjusted myself to the firearm.

Glock is a workhorse not doubt but I'll take the Canik any day. And that trigger!! Comparing Canik to Glock is like comparing it against a BBQ lighter. Not only does it have a better trigger it also has better ergos than Glock. I'm not trying to slam Glock. There's a reason they have a great reputation but the Canik is very capable of standing on it's own right out of the box and my SFT goes where I go.

@@crayshaunhenderson1265 It really depends on what you want to do with it. I carry the SFT every day. The SFX is noticeably longer and not as easily carried.
SFT for carry
SFX for anything else.

@@crayshaunhenderson1265 I like many others have both. I originally was looking at the Big name’s manufacturer and had no idea about Canik. My first choice was the SFX. I absolutely love it. So much that I just ordered the SFT Artic Distressed. My wife also loves shooting the SFX and is ridiculously accurate with far better than anything she’s ever had. Definitely worth getting one. And a backup😏

Have the TP9 SF. Its the base model, but it is a great gun. Next Canik will be the Mete SFT

Good review.. Agree the Glocks have a heavy trigger pull - they should really get their act together & save us

i have the TP9 SA, and TP9 V2 , which I really love for it's de-cocking mode (the V2, not the SA) that actually puts it in true D/A mode like a hammer fired gun. D/A on a striker fired gun, how often do u see that?? Plus I have the TP9 SFX, the Tristar T100 (made by Canik), as well as the SFX Rival Darkside. So you can tell I love Caniks!! And as a bonus, I have their new Signature Series Mete SFT Miami Nights on the way to me, already at my gun store, just have to get there to pick it up. I don't plan on firing the Miami Nights one, bought as an investment, but I just might pick up a standard SFT so I will know how it shoots! CANIK ROCKS!!!!!! Thanks for this review, it served to support my feelings on Canik guns!
Have the ( V2) since 2016. I actually like it better than my METE SFT. Not sure why but my V2 is a shooter and love the DA stage able trigger on the V2.
Just bought the Canik Mete Miami Nights. Love it. Best shooting gun I have ever shot.
My Miami Nights is at my FFL now, just need to go pick it up. But I have no intention of firing it! Canik's original Signature Series offering, the TP9 SFX in whiteout (beautiful gun, btw) they made around 7,000 of them, and now they are on GunBroker for close to twice the original 759 cost. These Miami Nights/Days ones, only 3050 made of each, will go REALLY FAST, and their value will shoot up accordingly! Me, I am thinking of buying a standard Mete SFT for close to half the price of the Miami Nights, so I can at least know how it shoots! Btw, that 3050 quantity made is in reference to the famous 305 Miami area code, someone at Canik is a marketing GENIUS!!!

I own 3 Glocks 17,19 gen 5 n the 19x I bough the METE SFX went to the range 😮outstanding shooter out the box nothing needed great sights n the trigger 🤯🔥😀 just put the olight mini laser flashlight combo it replaced my Glock 17 for home defense I was hitting 3inch targets at 20 yards like drinking my cup of coffee in the morning n I suck as a shooter 🤷🏽♂️😂for me I’m a much more accurate shooter I modified all my Glocks with sights n trigger n easy 500 dollars 💸 on top of what u paid for the Glock at the end I paid half for the Canik n don’t need no mods at all GLOCKS are super reliable that’s about it OVER Hyped n OVER prize shitty plastic sights n heavy ass trigger 🤦🏽♂️ just saying speaking from my experience looking at the new RIVAL 🔥😮🔥my advice buy your self a CANIK don’t matter which one there great Turkish Guns
I like mine just don't like the trigger take up after the take up the trigger is nice but I don't like 2stage triggers that's just me tho
Has anyone done an accuracy test between the SFT and the SFX? What does the grouping look like when comparing both guns with the same sights at 25 and 50 yds?
Is the velocity out of the SFX significantly different than the SFT?
Videos that I have watched, the SFX was reasonably accurate at 100 yds. Would the SFT come any were near as close?
I'm trying to decide between these 2 now.both the mete for a iwb holster but can find any for sale to get my hands on to check out, just online .what do you guys recommend on these two .thankyou
SFT is as accurate as SFX....SFX has longer barrel and grip ...velocity same
@@beybulatozden9508 Thanks for that info. I am left baffled though. Normally, atleast as much as I know, a longer barrel usually ment better accuracy and slightly better muzzle volocity ie. More kenetic energy/penetration. If the accuracy at 100yds is the same... sweet. The S F T mete is my next weapon.
Now now a ive got both the mete sft and the sfx and the accuracy is close between them, but there is a noticeable deferent in velocity between my sft and sfx, my sfx will average 40 to 50 FPS faster with 115-124 gr and with the 147gr it’s usealy gets around 30 to40 FPS more, it mit be deferent with another chronograph but that’s what my chronograph is getting
I have the V2 and SC, however my METE SFT just doesn't shoot well out at 25 yards. It could be me but compared to my V2 and SC ( extend barrel & red dot) it isn't even close.
I had to on consignment at the local GS but went back an got her. She will get one more try before I call her a dud.
To be fair , I have only put 50 rounds through her but all the hype on the METE , really I was disappointed. Close in 3,5 &7 yards she is on target. Easy to pickup sights an recoil is ezpeazy.
Hope my next range session is better.

You have to pop it off, so funny. You have to slide the Glock top all the way while you only need to slide the Canik top an inch.
Would you recommend the SFX or the SFT for your everyday carry? Do anyone carry the SFX as they everyday carry?
SF is way better for EDC: 15 rounds, 4” barrel.
