magazine capacity, co-witness ability red dot plates, ergos, ambi-controls, trigger guard serrations, loaded chamber indicator, cocked firing pin indicator, changeable backstraps, full carry box, price and legendary trigger Canik kicks ass with wonderful quality.
also a free holster! not the best but its a good starter holster :)
Shield plus has been a good upgrade over the Hellcat for me personally, for the same reasons you prefer the Canik. For a barely bigger gun, it can drill holes easily and comfortably where as the Hellcat takes a lot of work to hold a good group. Maybe because the trigger and sights don't suck more than the additional 2ish ozs, imo. So many good options developing as the micro world evolves. I'm excited to see you guys review the new SAR micro!
I'll have to check out the micro you mentioned. I got a shield plus performance center recently which I like but I would like to shoot a hellcat pro, canik mc9 to compare. For $400 I can almost already be it's going to be hard to beat. The only other pistol I have so far is a Canik rival which I love
I gave my shield Plus to my girl and will definitely be replacing it with the iwi Masada slim.
@@grandlifeaj8337 I'll have to check that out. I'm newer to Pistols and got a shield plus performance for carry but I'd like to try out others. For the price of the mc9 coming I'll probably end up getting one just because lol. How much is this Masada you speak of
@@anthonyarcher7268 It's like Biden's double barrel shotgun lol.
I agree, of the comparisons between those 3 specific models, the canik seems to be the better choice over the other 2. Which is funny because I only just ever heard of Canik for the first time within the last couple of months. In fact I recently picked up myself a Canik Rival (Dark Side) to get started in competition shooting.
Great choice for getting into competitive shooting. We've got quite a library (dedicated playlist) on Caniks we've reviewed over the years, but to get the long story short check out our guide article: www.gbgunsdepot.com/post/the-canik-guide
Rival Dark Side, excellent choice!!
Great choice
I also bought the dark side and have been very satisfied and can shoot much better. I keep waiting for the MC9 to come out, this will be my new carry gun.
I'm quite happy with my GX4 and the extra money in the bank. During hot season, I pocket carry a LCP Max.
Agree - and not just for cost - it is every bit as good as anything in the micro world
@@hagan091094 Gx4 toro guy here. It is indeed a tackdriver for such a small handgun. Even with the 13+1 mag with the right holster it is easy to hide compared to guns of the past. Trigger is suprisingly good too for a taurus, mine needs a new slide catch. But other than the slide lock issue it has never jammed or acted up to a point where i don't trust it.
The trigger is crap comparatively to other micros.
@@kneedeepinzombieshit it feels about like the shield plus trigger. Stiff stacky wall, but clean break. I'd hardly say it's crap, try the trigger in a gen 1 M&P Shield. That is a crappy trigger
I like the Gx4. It is not something I would dread shooting at the range for extended periods. It seems well made, and you can’t beat the price. I would say it is every bit as good as the P365. The only thing I might upgrade are the sights, but it takes G43 sights which gives you plenty of options.
I have the Canik elite sc, really excited to get my hands on an MC9. Looks like a great carry option.
the canik mete mc9 is my new EDC
Owned a TP9 Elite SC, and sold it not long after acquiring it. I was hesitant to get the MC9 based on that, but it is much improved over the SC, IMO.
I guess that is the reason they make vanilla and chocolate Ice Cream. Different tastes for different people. What I mean by that in this instance is that I am curious as to why you say the MC is an improvement over the SC Elite. I am not agrreeing nor disagreeing with your statement, just want to know what improvements you feel make it better. About the review I just have to say EXCELLENT. @@AaronGraves
I haven’t put hands on the mc9 yet, but if it’s anything like the other caniks I own but smaller with a little heavier trigger that still stupid crisp that’s the one to rule them all.
The concealed handgun world now has more niches and subgenres than heavy metal.
And no Scandinavian melodic death metal yet :(
Good! That’s great for the community.
@@GBGunsTaurus gx4 should be in the final cut group, right up there with p365 and hellcat, and yes, I own all 3. Love all 3, no experience with canik though.
My micro is the Shield Plus. Like others stated, the MC9 looks to be similar in size but I would have to think the grip is wider on The Canik since it’s a double stack. The MC9 looks to be sweet gun!
I was going to buy the dog 365xl but I think I'm going to get the canik, great information and video.
CANiK it’s really good choice 👍 , i have one
I am sold on the *Canik METE MC9!* This is an extraordinary comparative evaluation to make an individual choice. Thanks, GB 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
And he didn't mention the Mete MC9 is much less than the other two. I bought mine for $399 out the door. Much less than the Sig and the Cat.
Prices fluctuate while a video is permanent, so I try not to reference them in video. In articles however I link to multiple vendors so folks can check the current price with a simple click.
I want one too but they are problem prone 😞
@2ATaysav I can't answer for other's problems but I haven't had one issue with mine. I love my since I bought mine in 01/24. The only issue I had was the mag dropping was tight but I fixed that easily in 10 minutes and thay drop out easily.
@@2ATaysav By far, Canik MC9 users are pleased with their handguns. A few have complained.
Always find your videos full of knowledge. Since I have seen MC9, just wanted to observe side by side compression with prominent SCs in market. Thanks . Respect from Pakistan
Since I am someone who conceal carries the Canik Elite SC9, I am salivating over the release of the MC9! 🤤 I love my SC but it's a chonky-boy 😂
I can't wait for my range to get one for me to try.
@@darenmcgovern4285 I'm legit counting down the days for the release in March 😂
A very well done and informative video. Thank you very much for sharing it with us.
LIKE ALWAYS , WHAT A SINCERE REVIEW ! 🎉🎉
If only us mere mortals could get our hands on the MC9 so we could evaluate it! So jealous! LOL
Love the mc2c. That's my daily. I expect the MC9 to take over that duty when it lands but I love that gun to no end.
The more I see and hear about the Canik line the more I want to check them out. I carry a HELLCAT PRO now that replaced a M&P SHIELD in 9mm. The Pro has 15 round mags, good iron sights, and comes cut for a red dot. Not going to let that SHIELD gun go but like 15 rounds opposed to 8. Never even held the original HELLCAT but when I held the HELLCAT PRO and looked at the sight bought it within 2 weeks. I think the trigger on the PRO breaks in as you go but love what I hear about the CANIK trigger. Of course I know the HELLCAT PRO is NOT a micro compact but have been carrying and shooting for at least 6 or8 months and love it. But you have made me think about a CANIK! Close to 1000 rounds through my PRO with one good cleaning, and a little lube and no jams or failures using a hodge lodge of good defense ammo and a lot of steel case TULA 115 grain because it was cheap. LOVE my PRO but the CANIK is sounding NICE.💪👍🇺🇸😎
1 thing I really enjoy about the Caniks is the double undercut on the trigger guard. I think it’s probably more pronounced on my Mete SFX but still there on this lil fella.
You did that review perfectly! Great work
Thank you
I picked up the MC9. Love it. It is going to be my EDC.
Whether others consider it a micro compact of not, the 365XL has been the perfect size for me. Long enough grip to get all fingers on it without needing any extension on the mags, slightly longer barrel and slide for just that extra weight while shooting.
However, not having a standard rail and not having ambi controls keeps it from being something I would universally recommend. Perhaps the changeable backstraps on the MC9 are enough to make up for the shorter grip, and I would like a longer barrel, but it's got everything else I'd need.
Had my hellcat for a couple years now, I got the rdr version, they also make a threaded version with a rdp compensator on the end. Before thr pro version came out, they had already bumped the 11 & 13 round mags to 15 rounders too. On such a small gun I actually prefer their trigger over a "fast" trigger.
The trigger is atrocious
Really nice presentation, thank you
Great video, I would love to see your review on the IWI Masada Slim, it looks like a wonderful Micro 9 in the real of the METE MC9, a bit larger and well designed. I hope you consider doing a review. The METE MC9 looks very appealing
We're curious about the Masada Slim but haven't found one for sale yet.
2:08 so many have forgotten the Smith and Wesson model 469 from the 1978 era. It’s a 9mm 12 plus 1 DA/SA and the same size as Sigs introduction to the P365. The barrel is .4 “ longer. However , the S&W 469 is comparable to the Sig XL or the Sig XMACRO. WISH I COULD POST A PICTURE HERE.
I have all of them but the csx the rest are great guns thx for this great video.
Good point about gloves and micro-9s.
That darn Canik has loads of things I like. Especially the loaded chamber indicator, choice of backstraps, and the excellent slide releases. I like the rail, and the cocked striker indicator, too. I definitely appreciate that your experience is that it's more pleasant to shoot than the others. Even though I'm considering the Shield Plus, I think that I would like this best.
Canik… all day
You and Hunt Fish Shoot have been leading the way on this new MC9! Great stuff
I completely understand why the MC2C wasn't included, but I don't get why the MC2SC wasn't. Could you please elaborate. Nice job on your videos and commentaries. be safe and shoot straight. Thanks!!!!
Yes, the Hellcat has the optic ready plate version and 15 round mags available thru Springfield. My sight window is really clear for me to see if it's chambered a round and I wear glasses.
We used the smaller magazines for this video to make them all the originally-advertised size.
I would like to see a comparative review of these 3 Micro Compact and New S&W M&P Shield Plus.
Great job on the review without the useless bla bla bla. I have the Canik SC and that is the smallest pistol I carry , except my 9mm derringer. I have larger hands an smaller pistols just aren't comfortable for my handgun style.
You did a wonderful job comparing the pistols and it will be invaluable information for all potiential owners.
Semper Fi!
Sig p365 xl/macro is the best option imo, the macro especially. The size of a g48 with 17+1, literally my dream gun rn, just got mine ported, might pick up a icurus precision frame
I gave a canik on order now as soon as its released ill be picking mine up .
I see all of these as good options for whatever someone might want. I have the 365, but i dont really like it as a HD gun, so i have a full size for that role. Excellent for carry, provided it fits your hand. I see the Hellcat the same way. The MC9 however looks like it would be the best as a do-all gun. With the way it shoots and the fact that it can take larger mags it could absolutely fill the HD role and the carry role and all at a far better price than the other 2. It won't be as ideal for either, but the 5-10% difference probably wont matter to most people. I would say the same about the S&W shield+. You've gotta love this golden age of guns.
I like Canik ❤
All great points. For me, it’s still a G43, but I live in a tropical environment and pocket carry. The 365 mags are a pita to load, even after years of use and loading, I like the gun but don’t feel safe carrying in a pocket with that trigger. Canik is putting out great products but I still prefer the support in aftermarket Glock gets.
use a pocket holster. It'll protect the trigger.
Yep. After trying multiple micro's, I always arrive back at the G43.
I’m Cali with no 43, the 26 is popular here. It does have one advantage over the 43, that it shares all its parts with its bigger brothers 17/19.
I'd try the Canik and probably have it as a secondary carry gun, but I'm pretty happy with the Sig 365X. It's overlooked and poo poo'd on because of the larger grip and shorter barrel than the XL, but it fits my hand just right, conceals well, and it's not too uncomfortable sitting for long periods. It's a very accurate gun, but requires a firm grip.
As does on all pistols!
The X is great cause you can just get the smaller grip later if you want.
I have a Sig 365XL and a Canik Elite. The Elite has a much shorter trigger reset, making it more enjoyable to shoot at the range. (more ammo, more $) The XL is my carry weapon due to its size and weight. I might consider getting the MC9.
Nice job. Next should be a comparo with the MC2SC & Shield Plus.
I agree completely regarding the loading of the hellcat mags. It's the one thing I hate about the gun.
I'm holding out hope that Walther will release a PDP SC.
Please Walther, please.
thanks for the review ...
Where's the Shield Plus ? Great trigger .
FN Reflex has a better trigger
The Stoeger STR9sc seems to be getting really good reviews too.
Didn't expect Canik to give me what I was asking from SIG for years. Living in Texas, this is perfect. Hopefully Canik makes some 33 rounders I can stuff in my riding back pack.
They do I have 15-20 32 rd mags I bought for the sfx, they all fit
Cant wait to try out the new Canik....it looks very nice. Currently carrying SW shield plus
I think you'll find the MC so be a significant upgrade in shootability.
I love all I own, I carry a full size Beretta most of the time with a shield plus performance for a backup. Just train with what you carry. I will say my shield plus shoots really well for a small 9mm
That is a very good point I did not consider. Micro nines are for warmer weather.
I'm from Northern MN & I shoot my P365 year round & it shoots & carries the same. But summers are the only times I can shoot it in IDPA & ASI competitions.
14:05 You make an excellent point vs. the gloves argument 👏🏼
Curved trigger of the P365 allows for use with a thin glove whereas the straight trigger of the P365XL does not. Big plus of the curved trigger!
I like Canik firearms just not a fan of the colors most come in .. Great share, Enjoyed ! 👍👍
I'm bored with all-black too, but that's what most folks want.
I think the Mete should've been compared with the Glock 43 X MOS. & M&P shield plus. But with that said. the carry gun for me is the Hellcat. I am spot on with it at the range. And never leave home without it. Absolutely love that gun.
It sure seems to me that the Shield plus edged out the hellcat a long time ago.
When the price dropped to $399, it did. And a $50 rebate on top of that into April, hard to beat!
@@rob6850 absolutely. I got mine early unfortunately.
Never shot a hellcat or a 365. Gx4 is awesome and very accurate for half the price tho. Wouldn't mind a canik mc9. Luv caniks
Just picked up the FN Reflex .. nice well built pistol
PPS M2 LE Edition, for me. If I was to get something more modern...I'd prolly go with the GX4 Toro, myself. Thanks for the share!!
I have the exact same rig. It's a great, straight shooting pistol, but I wish it was a double stack. That said. Great gun!
I carry one too, fantastic pistol. Doubt we're getting a micro Walther any time soon.
To each his own of course...but since I bought my first canik (when the tp9 sf elite came out) I have always been waiting for the next model.. huge fan! And yes I have shot alot of different models of other manufacturers....including all the ones on this vid except for the mossburg. You can tell canik is putting alot of thought in what their customers want. I still break out my first canik I bought and still enjoy shooting it. Only thing I have done to it was put talon grips on it because after alot of shooting, the texture obviously doesn't grip like new...
Point is... I really like all my caniks.
I have been watching this channel for YEARS and SO HAPPY that someone gives an honest review on Caniks like you guys do! If you don't have at least 1, you will never know. An its sad because ppl often think budget/ junk. Or where its made. A GOOD GUN IS A GOOD GUN!
As you know, we treat all guns the same, put them through the same protocol, and let the gunspeak for itself.
@@GBGuns EXACTLY why I like your channel
I own 6 Caniks and I would put them up against any pistol.
Welp, and as a lefty my only option us the Canik, soo can't wait it to come in sale already.
I like the look of the Canik and believe that it will be a great gun. However, for me, I'm heavily invested in SIG P365s. The fact that the 365 has a FCU makes it some much more versatile than any of the other micros. With a Wilson Combat grip, the little SIG feels totally different in a good way.
Notably absent is the shield plus, which is absolutely in the same category as the pistols you listed... Also comes in much more "soft" shooting than either the hellcat or the 365. (though I have not yet shot a Canik MC9, I expect it to be in contention with the shield).
We don't have a Shield Plus, and when I ran a course with one I wasn't inspired enough to buy one.
The only sub compact 9 to fail The Firearm Guy's limp wrist test.
@@GBGuns It's got the compactness of a Hi-Point lol.
I agree the shield plus is a very good shooter for a sub/micro carry!! Some guys just don’t have good taste so they have to knock them! Lol
I’m on my third micro 9, the Canik, which I will be taking to the range for the first time tomorrow. I started with the 365. I actually really liked it, shot it really well, and loved the size. But I’ve always had bad luck with Sigs for some reason, and this one was no exception. Even after two trips to Sig and almost 2000 rounds through it, it malfunctioned constantly. And this was one of the later guns, after all the kinks had supposedly been worked out. The first time I called Sig they even said “that’s odd, that serial number should have all the bells and whistles.” So even though I’m sure I just got a lemon and probably would have been fine if I’d just bought another, I decided to steer clear of Sig.
The Kimber R7 Mako had just come out about the time I was giving up on the 365, so I picked one up. I like it too, and also shoot it well. But even though mine is not one of the recalled guns, It is also not 100% reliable. MUCH better than my 365 was, but I get the occasional light strike, and the trigger has gotten lighter as well, to the point that I think it’s too light for carry. I’m sure having Kimber service it will fix those issues, but it still means it’s probably not a gun I want to trust for an EDC.
So now I’m trying the Canik. Size is almost exactly the same as the Mako. In fact, the custom IWB holster I had made for the Mako fits it perfectly. I’m a big fan of Walthers, and have been wishing that they’d release a model in this category, so the Canik came along and caught my eye just before I jumped on a IWI Masada Slim. My impressions so far is that it fits my hand well, and I like the trigger, though it isn’t quite as good as any of my Walthers. But you definitely feel the Walther pedigree. I’ll be pleasantly surprised if this one finally works out well. If not, IWI is next.
Let us know how yours works out!
@@GBGuns well, right out of the box one of the things I noticed is that the action on this gun is tight, and the recoil spring and/or striker spring is very heavy, even binding a bit just before slide lock, and it is very difficult to actually pull it all the way to slide lock. I’m no gorilla, but I have pretty decent grip strength, and I shoot a lot of guns on a weekly basis, so I have a fairly good basis for comparison. Dropping the slide using the slide lock is also not easy because of the heavy spring compression.
On the range it’s accurate, relatively easy to control recoil for a gun of its size, and nice to shoot. But right off that tightness caused issues. On about 2/3 of the shots it failed to go completely back into battery. It was very close, and only required a very light touch to get it to go the rest of the way, but it definitely would not fire without that tap. I hoped it would improve as I shot, but it was still the same after 200 rounds. It’s so close to going into battery that I still think this is just a break-in issue, but it was still discouraging. Everything was well lubricated, but I do see what looks like a little wear on the trigger bar. Might just be tool marks, but maybe there’s a bit of rubbing going on there. I’ve heard of other Caniks having this same issue with 115gr range ammo as well, so I might also try something a bit heavier next time.
Otherwise there were no malfunctions. Not a single failure to feed, extract, or eject, and no light strikes. Slide always locked back on an empty mag and never with a round still in the mag.
Happy with my GX4 at the moment. 350 out of the box and put 100 in mods on it.
I realize it was not your intention. But after viewing several of your videos featuring the Canik Mete MC9, I am seriously considering purchasing one. I already own two older Canik pistols, a TP9DA and a TP9V2. I have nothing but praise for both guns but they are just a bit too large for year round EDC. Currently my most carried pistol is aS&W 442.
Maybe an MC9 is just what I'm looking for. Thanks for the videos that are both entertaining and informative.
It's a great pistol
I'm considering B U Y I N G an MC-9 too. It's so much like my Walther PDP's that were BO U G H T because of their intelligent ambi controls.
*Hint Hint* Graham's fav is the two tone coloured pistol 😜
GX4 or GX4 Toro for me - and not for the cost - over 3000 rounds - not one hang up and love the stippling and trigger
Shield Plus. Done.
Shadow Systems CR920 is also a great choice for a micro compact with a capacity of 10+1 or 13+1.
Good to know about sig triggers being different. Mine sounds & probably feels way different than yours. Works fine though. No problems.
Yes, they all work, and knowing your gun is more important than knowing another one, I've just found it notable that each of the 320s or 365s we've shot had a slightly different feel.
My 365 trigger is excellent, in line with the Walther or Canik triggers. Reset is okay, not great.
I believe the Canik comes with two magazines, one of them a little longer, letting you get your pinky on the grip, hopefully.
I believe you are right. And I think it will take the larger mete mags also.
Yes, we showed that in both of our METE MC9 videos. I used the pinky rest mag here to be equitable across the three models.
If is cold outside…..great point
Whichever comes in double stack 380. Which the p365-380 comes in. The right caliber for this size with a tilting barrel locked breach to help with recoil.
The P365-380 is a great shooter!
The Hellcat OSP and RDP both come optics ready
All are beautiful ❤
I would have liked to see the Taurus GX4 in this comparison.
Yes, but it wasn't requested
I thought it funny that it was said to use the Canik for fair weather and a larger for cold. I have been thinking a Ruger LCP Max for warm and the larger Canik Mete MC9 for cold or high risk and plinking.
i have the elite SC and even with that pinky extension, i cant get my entire pinky on it. That bothers me to not be able to grip the entire handle. I NEED my pinky on there fully & comfortably. This is why i use the 15 round with the longer extension on it, pinky fits over it very well ...
I’m very interested in the 365 because you can get one with a safety, but I hate gun where I can’t get all my fingers on.
Well you know I was going to post….so the newer hellcats do have an optics plate. Also my hands are almost the same size of yours (mine are a little larger in thickness your fingers are longer than mine) and I have no issues grabbing a hold of the Hellcat although I do use the 13 round magazine. I do not have a problem putting 5 rounds in a quarter sized area with my Hellcat at 7-10 yards without an optic. But at longer ranges if I’m not using a “full grip” with my support hand way up the gun my accuracy drops off at 15-25 yards. These small weapons are more difficult to shoot with unless you have a lot of range time with one. And it’s not transferable like the larger full size guns tend to be. Meaning if you shot one small gun then you’ve only shot that one model. When I take my CZ 75D PCR to the range it takes me a few magazines to adjust to how that gun shoots before I can really be effective with that weapon. All that being said I am interested in the MC9. It seems like a possible step up from the Hellcat. I live in Texas and most of the year it’s shorts weather and I need a smaller gun. Anyway nice review!!
I know the CSX has a couple shortcomings. But I got a screaming deal on one, and it's a fun little gun. I doubt S&W will ever make a version 2.0, but if they improve the trigger a little, and solve magazine niggles, it might be great. Meanwhile I enjoy it.
2:52 I wish they posted the length of the front strap for the trigger undercut to right before the magazine. You don’t think about it with a G19 or bigger, but on these guns it really matters.
That is a smart detail to include. Interestingly enough my problem with the G19 was the last of space up front thanks to Glock's low trigger guard.
I recently bought a Sig P365X as a replacement for a P365. However, after watching this video and the METE MC9 series you just completed I have a feeling that I will do much better to get the MC9 instead of customizing the P365X.
There is a trigger upgrade for the P365 series of pistols. Kit costs around $100 but needs a gunsmith for installation unless you're handy doing this kind of mods. But if you polish the sear & striker assembly where it meets the sear you'll have a noticeably better & smoother finger pull. Made a big difference on both my P365 & P365XL pistols.
I have the Wilson Combat grip module for my 365x and it’s a great upgrade, and you can find them on sale at DVOR for about $50. I also added the tungsten weights for the grip module and they seem to help mitigate recoil for $20. The Mete MC9 is looking pretty good though I gotta say
Graham.... I know you could go on forever with comparisons. But what about the Taurus Gx4? I already have one, and am planning on purchasing a Canik Mc9. Without hands on the Canik, I can't judge, but the look very close to the same size. Thanks
The GX4 is a good gun, you've seen our reviews, once it was figured out it turned out great. The GX4 simply wasn't requested for this video.
i held on to all 3 of them at a local store and the Canik definitely looked bigger but by holding them, it all felt similar in size. I bought the Canik but now im having some failure to battery (after 200 rds). Will investigate whats causing this but the gun shoots really well with that caveat. Will investigate whats causing it and if needed, sent back to Canik . I think its the extractor or some burrs on the polymer or even the barrel needing to be polished. Well find out soon enough!
Love the hell out of the #Mossberg #MC2sc. #edc
The Tauras GX4 is a awesome new gun
It's nto that new, but is a good gun.
I ordered the Canik Mete MC9!!!
Congrats!
How have it shot for you? Looks like a handful of people are having issues with theirs.
ZERO SO FAR@@tvan3740
I was looking forward to your opinion.
Could you please consider doing a review of the CZ P10-M in the future?
That's up to our Patrons
Would you please share the exact size & measurements of the video camera y’all use compared to the other types of cameras mentioned..thx.
We use a Cannon HF G50 which is an actual video recorder and tends to not distort (pull or push the center of the image) like a still camera (which most these days use for video). This is part of why we don't have the same depth of field feel other channels do, but it also creates a more true-to-life image. Not as artsy, but more realistic. If we filmed with our still camera you'd get that cool bokeh effect, but at different focal lengths the lenses can pull or flatten the center of the image. This is used in photography for effect, but can also distort your perception of size.
Thanks for the review. But you included two S&W models that most of us don't care about. It would be nice to see this compared vs. the shield plus.
We don't have a Shield Plus
That gun is not in the size/weight class of these.
I have never even looked at or owned a Canik. I have XL hand size so large grips are no issue. Canick's true doublestack mags, vs the proprietary micro only, 1 1/2 stack mags that the others all use, is a bonus. Also all the Caniks being able to use these same mags, is a huge advantage. The slight bit more weight and length, better trigger, and 12/15 rd mags coming with the Canik convinced me to finally try a "micro" size pistol. The fact that it cost much less, and comes with a ton of tools and accessories is another bonus. The 365s without any trigger safety dongle always bothered me because of the ease of possible discharge and where it will be pointed at, when going into and out of holsters. Yikes! Its 10 rnd mag size is falling behind the others now too, but it is the gun that invented the category, you gotta hand it to Sig for that. I cant ever find a GX4 or GX4XL TORO or I would possibly consider it, even tho its about $100.00 more than the Canik. From all the reviews I have seen, I hear its trigger isn't great however. We shall see, I just bought the Canik Mete MC9 and waiting for it to come in at the FFL.
Congrats! We have three videos on the MC9
I have the MC2C and yes, it is more of a sub-compact. You should have tested the MC2sc, which is a micro-compact version of the pistol.
We have tested it, we did long before it was even trendy.
A good video But you can see 2 different
Front sights, Sig with a different sight
system , just wanted to know which he
felt was more accurate on range outside
or indoor range , maybe next time
still good video
Most modern pistols can out-shoot most shooters. We've grouped all of the pistols shown in this video and I don't recall having any particular accuracy issues with any of them.
The straws on back finally got too heavy? Good non-biased comparison presentation 👍🏻
Sorry it like to do is review my very glad you did
I recently got a shield plus performance center but would like to shoot this mc9 and a hellcat pro
Graham, you disregarded the Mossberg MC2C, but should have included the MC2sc, a good comparison for the other micro nines. Good presentation, though, as always.
I agree. The MC2SCis a great gun,but it wasn't requested for this video
@@GBGuns 10-4, got it. That MC9 looking better and better.
You should have the Taurus GX4 up there as well.
I rented a P365 at the local range and didn't have trouble with the recoil. Now its size was not conducive to a two-handed hold but I was able to maintain good accuracy. I'm also used to 45 acp recoil, so that may be why I didn't find it that bad. Since it's more or less a one-handed weapon, SIG should sell a 32 acp P365.
It would be great if small center-fire calibers were in demand. And an ideal world would have ammo prices proportional to caliber size. I bet lots of people would be carrying a .32 or even .25 P365 or equivalent. So easy to shoot, cheaper and more enjoyable training more often, and a gigantic yet lighter weight and capacity over the 9mm version. They have the right idea with the SIG in 380.
I dont disagree, but the Ruger LCP & max version should be in 32. The p365-380 is ideal in this size.
Sig does even better than a .32 P365. It's called the 380 P365. You don't want a .32 caliber pistol (unless it's a .32 Magnum) because of its lack of effectiveness. See: The Best Handgun Caliber - A Real World Study to find out why.
@@ronolson2024 uh, yeah, if I wanted the 380 version I would have mentioned it. Not interested. Would buy the P365 in 9mm over the 380. If I wanted a 380, I get the new Beretta Cheetah.
