  • Kobes journey through the 2010 playoffs
Coming from Lower Merion High School and into the 1996 NBA Draft, Kobe Bryant was selected 13th overall by the Charlotte Hornets which made him the youngest (age 17) to ever be drafted in the NBA. He was later traded to the Los Angeles Lakers in exchange for Vlade Divac. With hard-work and determination, Kobe emerged as a prolific shooting guard who would later be compared in similarities to one of the greatest players of the game - Michael Jordan.
He has since won 5 NBA Championship Rings, numerous awards and achievements - Slam Dunk Champion, Scoring Champion, All-Star MvP, and many more..along with becoming the undeniable vocal leader of the team.
Here are his some of his career achievements:
    2000,2001,2002,2009,2010 NBA Finals Champion
    2009,2010 NBA Finals MVP
    2009,2010 NBA Western Conference Champion
    2008 NBA Most Valuable Player
    1997 NBA Slam Dunk Champion
    1997 All Rookie Second Team
    12-time NBA All-Star
    11-time All-NBA Selection
    8-time All-Defensive Selection
    3-time NBA All-Star MVP
    2-time NBA Scoring Champion.

If only Bynum could have stayed healthy they could have won it in 2008 and continued to compete after 2010. Injuries have really plagued Kobe and his teams for the last half decade.

    • @ParaditeRs
      @ParaditeRs Před 8 lety +2

+eskimo289 For a brief time, Bynum legitimately had a case as the best center in the league. He was good defensively and so far beyond any other centers offensive capabilities that you couldn't even come close to comparing another centers offensive game to his. It really is a shame that his passion for the game faded along with his injuries.

In 06 they both were fantastic statistically Kobe averaged 35 points 5 rebounds 5 assists and 2 steals. LeBron averaged 31 points 7 rebounds 7 assists 2 steals. But Kobe left the biggest mark on that year. 81 point game, outscored the mavs through 3 himself, longest streak of 40 point games ever, game winning shots, 50 point game streak...NBA League Pass subscriptions shot up when Kobe was doing what he did. People felt like they couldn't miss a minute of him. That gives him the edge in my book.

Kobe's the most technically gifted player ever. I can't think of one weakness in his game when he's 100% healthy. Kobe's moves and techniques are just amazing. He can shoot pretty much any shot, anywhere. I believe Jordan's the better overall player due to his freak athleticism, but Kobe is right behind him. But, Kobe's skill level is higher than Jordan's all things considered.

(cont...) They only won 42 games that year I think so its not like the 13-12 when he shot 30 shots is a good measurement because they played around that level period. Phil didn't call Kobe out for being selfish that year. He let Kobe go and than after the season told him "see you can't do it by yourself." Phil used that year to teach Kobe. And think about this, star players will most likely shoot more in losses because their teams will lean on them to do more in tough situations.
