My favourite is when someone comes over, I am trying to keep my dog calm, yet they ignore me and even say: "oh its okay, he can jump up i dont mind"

One of the best videos I’ve watched on this subject

I’ve been really enjoying your training videos. They are so comprehensive and I love both your presentation and ideas. I’ve been trying to teach my young dog not to jump when visitors come over, but it hasn’t been as successful as I would like. I’m going to try to incorporate these techniques into training now, for hopefully better results. My dog is a 14 month old Golden Retriever, so this is a big challenge for us!!Thank you for this video as well as the others!!

Oh thank you soooo much for this video! I've been struggling with this with my 1-year-old Golden Retriever - yup he LOVES people! I have done sooo much reading, homework, and practice on this -- trying different techniques, getting input from 2 different trainers, we have a KLIMB --but as you mentioned I feel like we are just practicing bad behavior right now. I am so hoping incorporating some of this helps. Great ideas! Can't wait to check out the other videos, where have you been for the last 6 months?? lol You possibly could've saved me some sleepless nights. ;-) thank you!

My dog jumps on everything. I’m trying this but not sure how to tether him inside the house.

I usually tether to heavy furniture. I get the leash and put the handle under a couch leg or something. It needs to be a piece your dog won't be able to move. Beds can work, but they are normally away from guests. Tables aren't usually a fabulous idea, but consider the size of the dog. Sometimes a baby gate is a better bet.
