I love monkey bread. I only make it once a year in the fall. I use half brown sugar and half white sugar, a little vanilla extract, and I top mine with chopped pecans, but your MONKEY BREAD LOOKS DELICIOUS, MAWMAW!!!

I am me, I don't know why I have never been able to gain weight (neither does my Dr). Please accept, love and be kind to everyone, we never know what others are going through. 🙏💗

I'm so happy you finally made the monkey bread. You're supposed to put a plate on top of it and flip it over. Tap the bundt pan lightly to medium with a butter knife all over until you think it's enough. You then take the bundt pan off of the bread and it looks lovely and it's easy to pull off a piece. I guess we’re in the same position Mawmaw! I have a silly thyroid too. I had just stopped smoking and was gaining weight, but I just kept gaining and gaining. my doctor kept telling me it was just that I quit smoking. I started feeling really crazy, unable to justify the way that I felt. I’d be sleeping for 24 hours and then up for 36 and all kinds of weird things. my doctor finally listened to me that I shouldn’t be gaining this much weight and ordered the thyroid test. It was screaming at a 24.1 TSH and it took about a year to get me back to normal. Well normal for me is really not anything good but lol. Anyway I’ve got the thyroid problem as well as diabetes! I think I drew the short stick of the bunch. It’s OK, we all deal with what we have to. Corey, you need to test the food too. We like seeing you and knowing that you eat also! I’ve never seen you testing the food. It’s your turn, buddy.

Grandma you just need to talk to the doctor about what you need to do with your thyroid problem to lose weight. It would be better for your health. I know bc I used to struggle with being overweight for years. Then I found out that I’m a Type II diabetic and didn’t want to be on medication all my life. I started walking a little at the time and increased it up to two miles each day. I started eating on a salad plate instead of a dinner plate. Now I’m down to my ideal weight and off my diabetes med. We can always do what we want to do if we want it bad enough. My reason was my health. And also ask your doctor about whether or not your thyroid problem may cause vision problems. We wanted to see you turn the pan upside down and see that sauce you poured on it. That’s the best part.
Congratulations! Weightloss and maintenance isn't for the feint of heart! I definitely have a serious problem giving up those things that I like but are ultimately unhealthy for me, especially those carbs! I did cut down portions months ago, and that made some difference. Ideally, I should lose another 25 lbs, but realistically, I'd settle for 10-15 lbs and maintain. 😊

Do you remember the Spanish Bar cakes that they used to sell in stores. They were my favorite and now you can’t find them anywhere. People need to stop criticizing people for how they look and weigh because some people can’t help it. I have been heavy since I was 6 years old and I too have thyroid problems but thank the good Lord that I am not a diabetic. I have tried many times to lose weight and it has never worked. I only eat 1 meal a day and it’s never a big meal and I still can’t lose weight. God made us all different for a reason and just because someone is on the heavier side doesn’t mean that we sit around and constantly shove food in our faces. The Word says that when you stand before the judgement of Christ you will answer for every idle word that comes out of your mouth. So be kind and show Gods love to people. Isn't it amazing! I was so nervous for my husband because he'd had a terrible experience with laser surgery about 23 yrs ago. He had so many issues and it really didn't work . Then he had cataract surgery on both eyes 2 yrs ago and could even read within a couple hours! First time he didn't wear glasses in over 60 years!😊

I'm not too sure but I think brown sugar and butter if you cooking and cook it down like you do fudge it turns into caramel so I don't know on this recipe how much you going to have you cook it but probably when it goes in the oven it's going to thicken up some more and it's going to be really good❤

I do this with garlic and butter and chives. It's so very yummy 😋.
You’re supposed to turn the pan out onto a plate so the caramel pours out and covers the bread.
If you cut the butter in to smaller pieces it will melt faster

When I make Monkey Bread I use Maple Syrup and butter for the sauce and sprinkle chopped pecans in it!! So Good!!!

Why brings back my memories. My Mom and aunt would make cinnamon toast for us, We lived in Fort Springs W Va, U bring back so many amazing memories as all my family is gone. TY for all. I'm not too sure but I think brown sugar and butter if you cooking and cook it down like you do fudge it turns into caramel so I don't know on this recipe how much you going to have you cook it but probably when it goes in the oven it's going to thicken up some more and it's going to be really good❤

Mama, I'm gonna try that. I never heard of that, but I'm like you. You can't put 3 sticks in butter instead of tube and Cory. I have you know. I am 62 years old. I weigh a 111 pounds. And I could good so that's not everybody. Everybody, that's little isn't always a bad cook. I got Tyroid issues. and I cannot gain weight. But if you look at my husband and my child, you can tell how good I cook and I love you. God blessed and mama. Keep on cooking, love you.❤❤❤😊
