I have been into Kumi for a few years now. Following Beadaholique has taught me a lot - you ladies have now taken all Kumiaholics steps and steps further, particularly using beading wires, 64 cords disk, and leather! Kudos to you! 👏👏🏻👏👏🏻👏👍🏼

I'm brand new at this and my first time here and hoping to learn I love this type of beading. Trying to learn different types of beading. I am taking classes here in Montana where I'm from. I'm limited on funds. Im on ss disability so I can't really afford much. So I hope I win today's drawing. I'm 67 years old and live alone and do this as a hobby. Great video!! I love bead weaving and just thought Kumihimo would not be something I would ever use but, you ladies have changed my mind!! I believed that this look was just so limited. But, using wire and chain as well as the various beads can give such different looks. I am excited to try this, first with one of your kits to get the feel and understanding the process. Thanks!!
I have trouble with memory, but as I started doing your projects I have been told it is slowly improving. I keep your videos saved so I can go back when I have trouble and lately I find I can continue without having to look back. I saw a clip recently about kumihimo and would love to win, you have virtually saved me, keep posting.

Just wanted to inform you and others watching the video that it is not only projects with leather that you have to pre-stretch before finishing. If I remember correctly from when I tried kumihimo the first time and watching how-to videos it was shown and mentioned that you should pre-stretch pretty much all finished pieces execpt those with beads. Sometime you could stretch the cord before starting the braid and then you don't have to stretch the finished piece. The 64 slot board was really interesting together with the double sized boards.

Hello ladies, from Mohave Valley, AZ. Sad I missed video earlier. So my question is can you embelish the braid after it's done? I've done kumihimo once before and picked it up again yesterday and didnt have beads with large enough hole to add right away. Thanks for your response!

I’m new to kumihimo. I needed to make a cord for a summer top that I made and I loved the look of kumihimo. I just made my first bracelet but don’t have any clasps yet
Welcome to kumihimo Louise! Hope your first bracelet turned out nicely! We haven't done a lot of work with adding kumi as a decorative element for garments but I think that's a great idea and I bet the finished top will look gorgeous.
