This is an old video from the early days of this channel that I brought back. Please ignore me talking about having a kitchen crew working on kitchen demolition. Thank goodness that has been over and done with for years now!! LOL! PLEASE NOTE: FOR A THICKER BRACELET, PLACE WHITE THREADED SPOOLS IN THE SPOTS THAT SHOW WHITE IN THE PATTERN! I don't do that, and it does make a thinner bracelet.

I made a ton of these kumihimu bracelets. Not with this kit tho. Love them. Just used the foam ring and had beads added. So pretty!

My sisters and I have made kumihimo bracelets and necklaces using regular foam disks and bobbins, which is certainly more time-consuming than this cute machine. But you are right, the "weave" is tighter and produces that rounded "rope" you described. Also, this little bracelet maker is limited to more standard-sized bracelets. I have made custom-colored kumihimo necklaces, too, that I can wear alone or add pendants onto. I like the ability to choose my own colors and patterns for these. So, I don't think this speedy machine will replace my hand-made kumihimo making. But, it sure is a quick and easy way for a youngster to create friendship bracelets.
