    • @GreyPot
      @GreyPot  Před 2 lety +3

      Egg whites, or albumen, is one such fining agent used to clarify red wines. Egg whites are particularly good for removing tannin particles, especially green or harsh tannins, rendering the wine more round and soft in texture.

    Hi, i completed keeping for 21 days. Then filtered and kept in bottles. How to be sure no poisonous chemical is formed. Pls answer if there is any way to test the quality. Thanks

    • @GreyPot
      @GreyPot  Před 2 lety +1

      We can determine a wine's quality by looking at its clarity, colour, and colour intensity. Wines with an opaque or hazy look should not be consumed.

    What are the possibilities for pot explosion while fermenting with air tight closure?
    Please share your reply

    • @GreyPot
      @GreyPot  Před 2 lety +1

      The jar should not be sealed tight, especially when it’s fermenting. The process produces gas, and enough pressure can build to break your jars. Better to make it airtight by covering it with cling film and release the pressure by opening and mixing it daily.

    Mam why it is needed to add white part of egg ...?

    • @GreyPot
      @GreyPot  Před 3 lety

      Egg whites are popular for their high content of albumin (a type of protein), which make them a good tool for fining wine because they gently absorb harsh and bitter tannins, leaving behind softer tannins
