Thank you so much!
Can u make a video of any other equipments so we can get alcohol percentage more than 15%?
Excellent sharing, but how to convert it to vinegar,
It's look nice wine should continue
Thankyou
You must write, in a vessel add the washed and dried grapes
thank you for the recipe, i have two questions....1 how strong is the wine and what job does the whole wheat do?
Hi, with this recipe, the alcohol % willl be around 10%. Whole wheat is normally added to increase the strength of the wine. You can avoid it, if you don't have it.
I know i'm a year late but i was wondering if grape juice would work instead of the grapes?
Loved the video thanks for sharing!
Grape juice will not work for this short version of wine, as we are boiling the grapes initially.
@@MiyasSpiceWorld Ok good to know thank you for replying! :)
Some people put a balloon to let gas out. I don't know the name of the gas from the balloon and the sewage disposal, and it has no damage. What is the type of yeast used in the yeast used in the baked goods? Thank yo
Yes CO2 will be produced while fermentation and it needs to be let out. Always keep the lid with a small gap. If you do this, you do not need a balloon mechanism to let our gases. The yeast used is instant yeast used for bakery products.
What is the alcohol percentage here? I appreciate your response in advance.
The % of alcohol will be around 10%-12%
can i mix green and black grapes together?
We have not tried mixing green and black grapes together. The taste of the wine is important but the color is also equally important. By mixing the grapes, you will lose the color.
After 3 days How much alcohol and is it enough to get you into a high mood, even intoxication?
It's about the same as drinking a very low abv beer( this recipe can realistically only get to about 4 or 5%). Adjust the recipe a fair amount, and then you're talking.
Hi! Can I lower the ratio of the ingredients? Like half kilo of grapes and then half kilo of sugar? Would that be work?
Hi, you can lower the ratio of ingredients proportionately for making lower quantities. Please ensure you lower the quantity of yeast based on the ratio of ingredients. This will work.
What can i use instead of wheat..
Adding wheat is optional, you can even avoid. It is generally added to increase the strength of wine.
What kind of yeast is this
This can be any active dry yeast.
is there an alternative of grapes? or could it be pineapple?
You can tryout with beetroot. Pls check our video from another channel (luv4foodntravel) czcams.com/video/2I8_gQbCH24/video.html
What can i use instead of yeast
Fermenting agent is a must to convert juice into wine. We have not any other agents other than yeast.
@@MiyasSpiceWorldsome are using lime
@@TWEETYDOTPIE oh really? do try and let us know your feedback
What is the Shelf life of the wine
It can be easily stored for 3 months. It may stay longer, if it is stored properly.
Are you sure this method does not work poisoning?
We have done this multiple time, and it has given us good result. The only thing you should make sure that you do not keep the wine for long without checking the taste. You will know if it is a good wine or not, when you open the lid. If there is any foul smell, just discard it.
How long it lasts in the refrigerator
In refrigerator, it can last till 6 months, if kept outside it can last for 3 months
What do you do to test it to see what is the alcohol percentage?
@@BigBoldBright_DallasDancer10 to 12 percent
What if we increase the sugar quantity
Increasing sugar quantity will increase the alcohol level in wine. You can moderately increase the sugar quantity, but too much of sugar may remain un-dissolved and not good for health.
Increasing the amount of sugar in this recipe will only make it sweeter. You would have to adjust the ratio considerably to increase the abv. Yeast can only tolerate a certain amount of sugar and a certain level of abv. Bread yeast, under great conditions, maxes out around 10%. Champagne yeast will get to around 18%. But again, to achieve that, and have it taste good, you need to provide the yeast with a proper environment, which includes food(sugar and other nutrients, ambient temperature, and other variables. The spices cover up the lack of flavor and / or off flavors. When yeast is stressed, they can release some really nasty tasting and smelling esters over time. Cute video, though.
Is it okay to not put any spices?
Yes, it is fine not to put any spices.
Can you not add the whole wheat
And no cardamom?
You can omit them
Is it purple grapes or dark blackish purple grapes??
We are using dark blackish purple grapes. They are also known as muscat hamburg, locally called as paneer grapes
@@MiyasSpiceWorld Thanks dear for the reply.
On another note, I have seen various youtube videos where win is made in 1,7, 21 and 40 days...
I will try the 1 day, your 3 days and 7 days
21 days is too long for me (esp where people want fast to make and drink hahhahah)
@@MiyasSpiceWorld what is it called in india, kerala?
Alcohol content?
approx. 10%
Sorry, but it's not likely to be that high. But, of course, there is no way to know for sure without using a hydrometer to measure the starting and ending specific gravity. Cute video, though.
After 3 days 10% alcohol?
Wine needs to be kept for 2 weeks to have 10% alcohol. After 3 days, the alcohol content will be less.
I've been brewing wine, cider, and mead for almost 2 years. With that ratio of sugar to liquid, you are lucky to get 5% abv no matter how long you let it ferment. The yeast could never eat that much sugar in that environment. It has to be a fairly sweet spiced "wine ". The only thing aging will accomplish would be allowing the solids to drop out of suspension and become clear. Would end up being a very light pink color. Double the liquid and give it more time and you will get closer to 10%. Of course, without a hydrometer to measure the starting and ending specific gravity, it's a complete guess. Also, that's a pretty good way of knowing if the yeast is done doing their job. Cute video anyway.
Thanks. You are right, without a hydrometer, we can only guess the alcohol % . We are planning to make more wine for this Christmas. We will also get a hydrometer to measure the alcohol content.
Thank you for responding. I'm happy to hear about your getting a hydrometer. It helps in more ways than just approximating the ABV. What is your preferred yeast? I plan on trying to replicate your recipe.
I am afraid that an explosion will occur when I put the wine in the glass for the first time.
When fermentation takes place, co2 will be produced. This gas needs to be let out. That is the reason, why you should only fill the bottle with 2/3rd wine, also the lid should not be air tight. If it is air tight, then the bottle will explode. If you can seen our video, we would have closed it with a lid with a small gap, to let gases escape. We also tied it with a cloth, so that insect do not enter the bottle.
