- In this video I show How to Make a Cyberpunk 2077 Tech Shotgun for cosplay. Since the weapon is made out of foam it is lightweight and con safe. I am extremely excited for CD Project Red's newest game Cyberpunk 2077, So much so that I decided to build the Tech Shotgun from the gameplay trailer.
A Free blueprint can be found on my site so you can build your own. www.sksprops.com/templates
I was able to collaborate with my good friend Bill Doran of Punished Props when I visited his shop for Emerald City Comicon. This video is Part 1 and goes over foam fabrication and the construction process. Part 2 can be found over on Punished Props CZcams channel where Bill and I go over painting and finishing techniques.
You can see Part 2 here

@@SKSProps Very much appreciated sir! So excited to see what you have coming up!
Subbed due to Punished Props 👍
Scott A Thanks!
Ahhh Dope!
Thanks!
Thanks so much. I was watching part 2 then quickly jumoed over here. This video has so many tips and tricks. It was GREAT to watch. Really want to see how you apply your plasti-dip. Then Ill head back to the other channel... Thanks again. Subscribed & Belled!!
Cheryl Brown Thank You!
Dope.
Kevin Toole Thanks!
Heck yea! Great to see you making things again. What grit belt is on your beltsander? I fear mine may be too rough.
It was originally but I've had it for 2 years so it's just right. I usually knock the belt down a bit by sanding wood blocks
Ah I saw Punished's video first xD it's cool tho.
Thanks!
I used a very similar condiment bottle, I found is it not good for storage, Frenches mustard bottles seem to be made of plastic that is much better at keeping vapors in.
00meat Plays cool thanks for the tip
@@SKSProps vapor barrier may vary from bottle to bottle, yours might be fine. Mine was well closed and let the glue offgass fairly quick
Typically, I have to seal EVA foam before painting with PVA glue or Mod Podge. Even before Plastidip. If HD foam allows the maker to skip that step, I hope you'll make an episode about sealing!
I came here to see how it breaks apart for transporting it! ❤
Thanks! and if you like that check out my Warhammer 40K axe build to see more break apart ideas
@@SKSProps Oh no worries. I've been subscribed ever since I saw that 40k manufactorum axe on instagram! 😇
Awesome build. sub +1
sa-maker Thanks!!
Damn brother, very nice
So why is it specifically high density foam and not the regular black foam?
First off Thanks! The HD-Foam is a product of my own that I have been developing for a while now, but I was showing here that my foam can work with many other foam products that are on the market.
@@SKSProps oh ok!! Is it similar to that of TNT cosplay foam? What properties does it have?
Why use your foam and the TNT cosplay foam? Asking mostly to find out if there is a texture or weight difference a feel or what not. Or was it simply a case if you had it so it was time to use it up?
I used the TNT for a couple of reasons #1 at this point I don't carry 2" thick blocks or 4mm sheets of foam #2 I wanted to show that multiple foam products could work together and still have a great end result.
awesome work, may I know the length of the gun
Hammeraxe go to my site SKSProps.com and click on templates and you can download a full size pdf of the weapon 👍
Any good site to order foam in canada?
Daniel Lupien I hope to eventually expand but right now check out red moon in Canada
@@SKSProps thanks man
Awesome build came from r/cyberpunkgame
Aravind Srinivasan Thank You!
The template doesn't have the butt. At least for me. Any fix? ;(
You need to open the pdf in adobe acrobat or adobe reader and click poster in the page size area that scales it properly over several sheets regardless of your paper size
The detonator Coke bottle from Disneyland Star Wars isnt flight-safe, even when empty. How is this allowed on a plane?
:)
:)
May I ask, why googly eyes? I cringe when I hand a friend a prop that's too lightweight and sounds like it has sand moving around inside...
Bill Smith a lot of times I will resin cast bits but I wanted this to be approachable for newer builders...side note I’m not a fan of the sound either ;)
@@SKSProps Ah, interesting...you do it for the tiny dome shape? I buy these jewel studs at Michaels that don't have moving parts inside.
Bill Smith nice I’m going to need to check that out
@@SKSProps They also make tiny brads, which you can clip the tops off and use as well.
